⚠ Content Warning: Violence Just had a terrible experience on Grindr

Tonight I wanted to have someone over to have a good time. I found this guy close to my age, decent looking and quite friendly, so I invited him over. Everything was fine, we chatted and had a good time together. But right after we finished having sex I asked him to leave and he refused. He suddenly got angry about guys always kicking him out after sex and only getting used for sex. I immediately felt a very bad vibe from this, so somehow I came up with the excuse that I was meeting a friend for some drinks and I had to go. He calmed down then but asked to stay until I left, so I had to get ready to go to this pretend friend’s place. After I got ready, we left my house and stood in front of the main door. He offered to give me a lift but I told him that my friend’s place was close, so he offered to walk with me. This situation was overwhelming me at this point. I told him that I just wanted to walk by myself with my music on, so I said goodbye and started walking away while he stood in front of my door. I turned the corner but I kept thinking that he was probably following me instead of getting in his car and going home, so I went in a corner shop close by and told the staff that a weird guy was following me and if I could hide in there (the guy from the shop knows me, I normally shop there). He told me to ring the police but I said no, I just wanted to wait a bit to see if the guy was gone. I rang my housemate to ask him if the guy’s car was still there and it was. After a bit, the guy walked in the shop asking for me. Thankfully the cashier acted oblivious and he left and then drove off.
I’m so scared right now, I don’t even want to go outside tomorrow for work just in case he is around. I’m definitely not meeting anyone from Grindr in a good while…

After Brazilian President Lula defeated right-wing extremist Flávio Bolsonaro, who has openly expressed homophobic and transphobic views, he celebrated alongside several of his allies, including trans congresswoman Erika Hilton. Brazil also has a few other trans folks in congress. Thought it would be nice to share :)

Need Advice I told my family I'm trans. I feel so much dread. I need help to valm down.

Apologies in advance. Im just very distressed. I want someone with more experience with this stuff to help me.

I wanted to add a content flair but i dont know how to edit them, so HUGE trigger warning:

Confessing the want to transition and it not going well.

Basically, yesturday i finally burst after 20 years on this earth and confessed i am probably a trans man. If you look at my past posts I usually potray myself as a woman, but thats not entirely true. I never felt like one.

I made two posts on a few lgbtq+ and ftm subreddits but i deleted them for some privacy reasons.

My dad doesnt know (thank god) but my mom and brother know everything now. My brother said he would support me.

He told me that i dont know what its like to be a man and that he will help me. He said he'd help get me a job with some manual work so i can get the idea of being a man and, after 3 working years, if i still wanted to transition, he would support me and go with me to appointments if im scared. Ive never been more greatful for him in my life. Im so unbelievably happy for that.

Im not happy about my mother. For her it went badly. She wouldn't believe me, she doesn't understand.

She kept talking about how i have 'complexes' in my head and how she doesnt understand becaude im a 'healthy girl as god made me.'

She first tried to push that i had 'complexes' in my head.

Then called it deranged.

Then told me i was wrong.

Then she told me she felt like she was sgonna keel over (she has a lot of health and heart problems so this isn't that unusual)

Then said she hoped i go through with a transition just so i will regret it later. (I cried hardest at that)

Then cried and went "where did i go wrong?"

My brother calmed her down and told her that its not the end of the world and how 'she(aka me) didn't confess she was a drug dealer or anything'.

After that she started asking me questions, if i was 'sure', to i guess understand how i felt. Then she started doing hypotheticals.

"What if we went to a psychiatrist and he told you this is because of your complexes?"

"What if we went there and he told you to take girl hormones instead?" (English is not either of our first language. You get the picture)

"I know you said you denied it thinking youre a masculine woman, i want you to deny it saying youre a WOMAN, period. It might work"

I got upset and begged her to stop and accept that what im saying might be true. She got mad and told me i wasnt accepting the possibility that it might not be because i have a 'huge ego' and 'always push for me-me-me'.

I will admit, i do have a huge ego. Im as stubborn as a mule. But im tired of this. I can see it in her eyes that shes desperately begging for this to be a phase, for this to just be because of my hormone imbalance. Ive felt this way as far as i can remember and i highly doubt it. I will admit shes right about everything else, but not this. This is a hill i will die on.

I slept beside her that night (my dad works night shifts) because she was stressed and i didnt want her to be alone. She only slept two hours and she said she was fine, but i doubt it.

I thought i would finally feel relief telling her. I know she loves me and i know shes just worried, but i feel nothing but dread.

As im typing this, and for the last few minutes, ive just been pacing around the room. I want my big brother here but hes at work. I havent eaten anything and i dont have the appetite to. I dont know what to do. I feel such a sense of dread and doom and dispair, even knowing that my confession went over a lot better than other peoples confessions would have.

Please someone help me or comfort me or do something. I dont know if this is the sub for this. I just feel so alone right now. Im a recluse but now i feel such a strong urge to leave the house and never return, but i know thats stupid.

Hi everyone. I’m gay, and I live in a homophobic country. I’m thinking of moving in the near future, but I’m not sure where to go. Which countries would you suggest? The USA? Spain? Germany? The Netherlands?

Educational Update: So I finally decided to get PEP, & this was my experience.

Read original here

Had condomless anal sex last night and I'm worried about HIV, PEP, and my anal fissure. Need advice

UPDATE: i will keep updating this post...with my future experience. 🫰

After posting my post here, many people recommend me to take PEP as a precaution...& risk anything. So after reading tons of articles, stories, etc..i decided to take PEP.

I first went to a nearby govt hospital after almost 46 hours of possible exposure, because I was hoping to get it at a government hospital for a lower cost. Unfortunately, the staff I spoke to didn't seem familiar with PEP, and I couldn't figure out where to get it there. They were just keep making me go here and there thats it...felt like nobody knows shit there even though its listed in NACO ICTC centres...but amyways.....After wasting quite some time, I decided to visit a nearby HIV amd STI specialised private Clinic instead.

The doctor assessed me and prescribed a 28-day PEP course. The total bill came to around ₹4,700 (~50 USD), including the consultation and medicines. It's a lot for me as a student, but I decided my health was worth prioritising over the cost.

I took my first dose after 52 hours of possible exposure.

I also got my baseline HIV and kidney-function tests done at Dr Lal PathLabs. My HIV test came back negative/non-reactive, and my kidney results were reassuring too.

I know the HIV result doesn't rule out infection from my most recent encounter because it was too soon to detect anything. I'll complete the prescribed course and follow my doctor's testing schedule.

I'm still nervous about possible side effects, but at least I've taken action instead of endlessly worrying about what might happen.

Thanks to everyone who responded and helped me through this without judging me. ❤️
