im assuming someone reported me for no reason and i got this message 20 minutes ago about

" a concerned redditor reached out to us (etc)"

what is the point of doing that and will this affect my account in some way, especially if its repeated (not in this case it was only once)?

Today, I opened reddit on my PC, the homepage loaded, and I was shown a recommendation for a r/ I have never visited, never clicked into nor ever opened a thread from.

After thinking how it came up, my kid was on my PC earlier, opened Steam, played Civ5 for an hour, and then logged off. (he did not open a web browser).

How did Reddit in a browser that was not open, read my gaming history from Steam, and make a suggestion for this?

My profile was completely normal until I changed my profile picture to a perfectly normal image. Immediately afterward, my account was suddenly marked as NSFW I have no idea why..The profile picture itself contains absolutely nothing inappropriate, and it’s the same image I’m still using now..

My account is so normal, and contains a variety of posts and general discussion, including scientific topics, and other general interests. I have tried every solution i could find but nothing has worked..I have also contacted Reddit Support twice and havent received a response yet

Has anyone experienced this problem? Is there a different way to request a review of my account’s NSFW classification and get it corrected?

Any help would be appreciated. Thank you!

I don’t know what their intentions are and why are they sending me links? I do not know what they want from me. What purposes does it provide? I don’t know if I should trust them.

The past few months there hars been an increase in the number of experiments reddit is doing. These have resulted in a number of significant changes concerning the UI, content selection etc.

As far as I can tell, none of these experiments were announced, but I am sure that I am overlooking something. It is impossible that these experiments are not known, planned and announced beforehand and that the only information available is the minimal information available in the weekly recaps on this subreddit.

So my question is: where can I find the detailed information about current and future experiments, their goals etc?

new reddit has turned into a knockoff of literally every single social media site now. "for you" tab, having to do an extra click to see my usual subreddits, games over in the corner, "custom feed". it's lost what make me want to use the site to begin with.

anyways, i usually try to use old reddit to escape all of the changes but the thing that keeps making be crawl back to new reddit is the fact that if someone posts an image in the comments, it posts as a link instead, which means i have to click on it to see the image. if im in a comment section with people spamming gifs/reaction memes it gets frustrating very fast. so, how to fix that so that i can get back to old reddit and never use new reddit again?

Within probably the past week or so, I've had ridiculously atrocious performance on the desktop site. Like, it's literally so bad that typing is lagging. Never had any problems before. No issues on any other sites.

I received a notification from Reddit that what happened to my account (u/soober-seebo) was a mistake! Is there any way at all for Reddit to make my previous posts visible again?

So I was on a subreddit that has a well known troll on it. I went to report an obviously reportable post but the accounts report button was broken, and apparently has been broken for over a year so this troll can’t be reported.

When I pointed that out on the subreddit thread, I got hit with a temp ban from an automod for encouraging false reporting and after my temp ban was lifted I get a strange “a weird error occurred, try to post again soon” type message.

It’s been this way for a few weeks now and frankly the whole thing seems like someone breaking reddit on purpose?

Having issues saying site is too busy to connect on firefox.. Works on all other Edge , Chrome etc.. Problem will temp fix if i clear cookies but what is going on?

I am completely locked out of my main account, u/outtasight68, due to a persistent password reset loop and could really use some help or admin advice. I go through the official password reset process and when I try to log in using that exact new password, it rejects it and gives me the "invalid username or password" error. This is happening across all devices. I have tried logging in via the official Android app, desktop browsers, and mobile browsers, but the result is exactly the same everywhere. I've also tried clearing my app cache and using incognito mode to rule out a local browser issue, but it seems to be an issue on Reddit's backend where the new password isn't actually updating the account credentials.

I am posting this from my alternative account, u/outtasight647. Has anyone else run into this type of issue recently? Is there an admin who can help manually refresh/sync the account profile for u/outtasight68?

My messages in chat keep disappearing however the other person messages still appearing.

When added to the chat it becomes a static gif
