Dev/Admin Responded [Desktop & Mobile Web] Recommended posts from subreddits I'm not subscribed to appearing in home feed even though I have that setting disabled

I downloaded the app and opened old.reddit.com just to check the settings again

(Which, sidenote, why aren't all the same settings available on all forms of reddit? Annoying that you have to know which platform has which setting)

and confirmed that:

  • "show recommendations in home feed" is off - app
  • "show trending subreddits on the home feed" is off - old.reddit.com

And yet I am getting a recommended post like every other post on my home feed

It only happens on mobile web and new desktop web

Old desktop web and app seem to be working properly

Mobile Web Can't see my friend in the watchers list on in Instagram ( android and browser )

Thumbnail
• Upvotes

I have a notification of him liking my story but I can't see his like and even his name in the list of who watched it. I alsp tried to delete cache and updating the app but I still can't see him

EDIT 1:

I talked to him like 20 minutes ago and he says that he actually watched the story. When I made this post hours ago, I also tried to see if he restriced me by posting a comment under a post of his account and I told a friend of mine if he could see my comment. He actually saw it so I wasn't restricted. Another friend of mine watched my story a liked it and this time I saw him in the list so, was it a bug?

Mobile Web [desktop web] Account reinstated after wrongful spam suspension, but all posts and comments are still automatically removed

• Upvotes

Hi everyone,

A couple of days ago, my Reddit account was mistakenly suspended. After appealing, Reddit acknowledged that my account had been incorrectly caught by its spam filter and restored it.

However, ever since the suspension was lifted, every single post and comment I make seems to be automatically removed, regardless of the subreddit.

Before the mistaken suspension, I had absolutely no issues posting or commenting. I don't spam, I don't post excessively, and I haven't changed my posting habits.

I understand how Reddit's reputation filters, account trust, and spam prevention systems work, but it's practically impossible to rebuild account trust when literally everything I post or comment gets filtered out.

Since this only started happening immediately after Reddit acknowledged and reversed the mistaken suspension, I strongly suspect that some automated restriction or spam flag is still incorrectly associated with my account.

Could a Reddit administrator kindly review my account and check whether any restrictions remain in place? I would really appreciate having my account fully restored to its previous working state, before the erroneous suspension.

I've already gone through the appeal process successfully, so I'm simply trying to understand why my account is still being treated as suspicious.

Thank you so much for your time and any assistance. I'd genuinely appreciate some help resolving this!

Dev/Admin Responded Desktop safari and more- Automod and other tools not working

Hello, it is evident that our tools are NOT working as should.

Our automod, is not working correctly. Felt this way for a while but other things like inline removal BUG took precedence. We have folks checked for subreddit karma , new to reddit AND MORE - I know there are more. These are NOT working.

Our subreddit r/retirement has jumped from about 85k to about 115k recently. A post a few weeks back hit 930k views (and we have short of 160k members!). We need automod to work.

We need inline removal of comments, the bug I have reached out on a few times, to work.

We need the check the box removals in queue, which come and go on working (had both results recently - which is why inline is a good back up) to work.

iOS [iOS] Only my latest 14 comments appear on my profile - version 2026.43.0

I’m only able to see my latest 14 comments on my profile in the iOS app. Scrolling down doesn’t load any older comments.

I can view other users’ comment histories normally in the app, and my own full comment history is visible when using Reddit in a browser. I’m using app version 2026.43.0.

I’m relatively new to Reddit, but as far as I remember, I could access my older comments in the app when I joined. Has anyone else experienced this or found a fix?

Desktop Web [Chrome] Thread title won't change upon navigation

At first, thanks for introducing the new "For You/Following" front page categories.

The problem: a thread title won't change upon browser history navigation.

How to reproduce:

  1. Visit a thread

  2. Click on the reddit logo to get back to the home page

  3. Inspect DOM via F12 DevTools: still the same <title></title> from the page before

Cache is clear.

Regards!

(PS: additional feedback UI wise: have the "Community highlights" DOM element be more emphasized so a viewer/user can easier find it without scanning every tiny detail shown on the page).

iOS Can’t return yo feed after clicking on a post for iPadOS (iPad m4 pro)

On iPad m4 pro iOS and using reddiit app in landscape mode.

When I tap on a post, usually there is an X button to return to the feed.

in this case, no x button is present. only the 3 line burger menu.
Tapping the 3 line burger menu also does nothing.

i have to end up killing the app and restarting to go back to feed.

Also to add, this does NOT always occur. but it occurs frequently enough, so i can't pin down when it occurs exactly.

Desktop Web [Chrome Desktop] account stuck in a state where seemingly all new posts are automatically taken down by Reddit's filters

[Note, this is not a post about a ban. This appears to be a system bug where my account is in a state where new posts get taken down automatically.]

For most of my time on Reddit, having a new post automatically taken down by Reddit (as opposed to being automatically taken down by auto-moderator for breaking a subreddit rule I didn't know about) was very rare. Now, the last four things I posted just got automatically taken down by Reddit's filters, even though they were all in subs that I've posted in before without a problem.

This seems like a bug in the system, rather than a one-off issue to handle with an appeal. Either you're able to use the site or you're not; if you are, all of your posts should not be getting taken down automatically.

The only other thing that happened recently was that I got a 3-day Reddit suspension for posting this comment:

https://www.reddit.com/r/SeattleWA/comments/1xei4yi/comment/19rlzw9b0xcat/

but that was probably because I was quoting a slur used by someone else (even though I used the censored version). I got that decision overturned and the comment got restored, but now my account is in a state where seemingly everything I post gets instantly taken down (so we'll see about this post!).

I did make one post since then that didn't get taken down:

https://www.reddit.com/r/bugs/comments/1xh2blx/desktop_web_but_also_all_platforms_when_you_get_a/

but maybe that subreddit has different filtering rules, to allow people to post bug reports.

Other than that, here are the last four things I posted, all of which got taken down automatically:

https://www.reddit.com/r/NFCWestMemeWar/comments/1xh9hec/outside_seahawks_chiefs_game/

https://www.reddit.com/r/SeattleWA/comments/1xh9kfh/outside_seahawkschiefs_game/

https://www.reddit.com/r/Seattle/comments/1xhacb6/spotted_from_passenger_seat_above_i405_south_in/

https://www.reddit.com/r/Seattle/comments/1xhae5q/spotted_from_passenger_seat_yesterday_above_405/
[Identical to the previous one, except that the previous one had no body text so I added some body text in case that fixed it.]

Would you agree this looks like a system bug of some kind?

Desktop Web [Desktop web] Profile and posts disappeared after password reset

Post image
1 Upvotes

Hello, I'm experiencing a problem with my Reddit account.

Reddit asked me to change my password for security reasons, which I did. After the three-day period I was informed about, my profile stopped being visible to other users, and my previous posts appeared as removed.

I can still log in and comment. However, the appeal page says my account is neither suspended nor restricted, so I cannot submit an appeal.

Could someone help me understand what happened and where I can request a review?

Thank you.

Android [Android] Error saving Reddit profile changes - version 2026.42.0.2642020

I'm getting "Error saving changes, please try again" when editing my Reddit profile. Simple text like "ahh" saves, but my original display name and bio don't. I tried shortening my bio, but it still errors. Is this a bug or is something in my text triggering it?

iOS [iOS] Black bar above the bottom nav bar covers feed content

Bug: A thick black bar spans the full width of the screen directly above the floating bottom navigation bar (Home / Inbox / You), covering whatever feed content is behind it.

Where I saw it: News feed. In my screenshot it cuts across an ad image, with feed content visible above and below it.

Device: iPhone 17 Pro Max
iOS version: 27.2
Reddit app version: 2026.43.0

What I was doing: Scrolling the News feed when I noticed it.

Expected: Feed content visible right up to the nav bar, with no black bar.
Actual: A solid black bar across the full width sits above the nav bar.

Screenshot attached.

Desktop Web [Desktop web but also all platforms] when you get a sitewide suspension notice, it includes a link to the "offending" content, but the content was deleted by Reddit so it's not viewable

[Note, this IS NOT a request to re-instate a banned account or to remove a suspension, this is about a bug I discovered as a side effect of that.]

On October 24th I posted a comment which criticized someone else for posting a slur on Twitter (I quoted them accurately but censored the slur; however, it still probably tripped Reddit's text filters) and got this suspension notice:

Banned 3-days for hate

We flagged the following as a potential policy violation:

However, at the time, the comment had been removed by Reddit. (I appealed and the comment got restored.)

The bug, however, is that the link in question pointed to the comment, which had been deleted, which means if you click on the link it just says "Removed by Reddit".

This seems like a bug, if the point is to inform the user of what they posted that triggered the ban, but if they click on the link, the content is not there.

One fix would be for the system to copy and paste the offending text into the notification that is sent to the user.
