Desktop Is anyone else getting massive performance issues on desktop recently?

Within probably the past week or so, I've had ridiculously atrocious performance on the desktop site. Like, it's literally so bad that typing is lagging. Never had any problems before. No issues on any other sites.

If you are experiencing performance issues on the desktop site, you can report it by submitting a post to r/bugs.

Before reporting, it's a good idea to check Reddit's status page to see if your experience lines up with any ongoing incidents. If the issue is already logged, you can follow along there for updates.

If you're submitting a new bug report to r/bugs:

  1. Scan over recent posts in r/bugs to see if other users have already reported the same issue.

  2. When creating your post, be sure to include the following information:

    • Description

    • Device model

    • OS version

    • Steps to reproduce

    • Expected and actual result

    • Screenshot(s) or screen recording(s)

  3. Before submitting, ensure any personally identifiable information, such as legal names, email addresses, and phone numbers, is removed or blurred from your report.

I get this issue from time to time. (Desktop Firefox.)

Steps to try -

Uninstall/reinstall your browser. Try a different browser. Turn off extensions and plug ins. Clear cache. Full device reboot. (One of these usually works for me.)

If you do *ALL* of that and the problem persists, especially if it persists across devices/browsers. it might be a bug. You can create a post in r/bugs detailing everything you already tried.
