Analysis Planned taunting

Preface: While officiating was beypnd abysmal, we lost bc of FGs, drops, and jumping offsides.

Imagine both the Packers and Panthers on prime time agree to jump offsides and do a synchronized taunt at the start of the game, just to test the reffing waters under all the lights.

That would put the refs in a damned if you do damned if you dont call a taunting flag. If they call it, then it shows what the Lions did shouldve been called. Moving 15 yards back could make both sides of the ball play a little differently, and the game could even go into overtime, but thats just blind optimism.

If they don't call it, then they've doubled down on allowing it to be a thing, and they should just remove weak taunting penalties and fines/give Golden a break from his fine.

Idk, I think it would be fun to mess with the refs and put them in a tougher spot while already being under the lights.

I hope Alex Moore's crew never touches a game in the NFL ever again.

Holuchi's crew too.

Edit: 15 yard taunting not 10 yards

Edit 2: The lions play was funny. I like Charlie brown and the peanuts gang lol. Inconsistency is more what I was getting at. Taunting is too soft.

Analysis Trey Smack

Trey Smack missed a couple of field goals. It’s a bummer.

Here’s a reminder. Trey is a 23-year-old rookie who is now 7 weeks into his new job. His new job has differences from what he trained for previously in high school and college. His new job also has significantly more pressure than most of your jobs will ever have.

We know full well kicking in the NFL is as much a mental game as it is a physical one. Y’all openly calling for head of a 23-year-old 7 weeks into his first job is pathetic and only serves to hurt this guy’s mental health further. Shame on you.

Analysis People complaining about the refs and the missed field goals are not wrong, but they are missing the larger point

The calls were horrendous, and Smack was a joke, but I knew this game was lost on the very first drive. Jordan is immediately slicing up one of the worst defenses in the league (as expected) and makes a series of nice completions, including a beautiful, calm fourth down conversion to Savion, who has been a blessing since returning.

Then, when we're inside the 15 in the blink of an eye, what does MLF do? What he always does, the MLF special, the drive killer, the run-run-pass. This man's OBSESSION with running the football and determination to be a power running team continues to perplex beyond belief. You run the ball on first down. Don't love it, but FINE. Then you run AGAIN on 2nd down?!?!? With an elite quarterback starting red hot??? This is utterly unacceptable. I would prefer zero runs there, but 1/3 (33%) is fine, and 2/3 (66%) is an utter travesty.

This bozo does not understand opportunity cost. He has a a QB playing at as high a level as ANYONE in the league, and he just easily, instantly put you in scoring position, and you're going to take the ball out of his hands on TWO OUT OF THREE PLAYS IN THE SERIES?!?! WHEN YOU CANNOT RUN AT ALL?!?!? EARTH TO MLF: YOU HAVE AN ELITE QUARTERBACK. It's long past time to ride this guy and give him as many chances as possible, but MLF's ego and obsession with running the ball is costing him, especially on first down. COACH THE TEAM YOU HAVE.

More of the same later on, but the first drive was the most glaring. It's been like this for years and never changes. Run into a wall on first down. Run-run-pass. This man is keeping us out of the endzone. Forget the stupid field goals, we need to be scoring TOUCHDOWNS against one of the worst defenses in the game. 17 points?!?! When other teams score at will on them. Pathetic. We need to play to win, and touchdowns win games. All this guy does is turtle and be a fake tough guy. He's a pathetic, stubborn loser and we will never ever win with him. That first drive set the tone for the entire game, then it was more turtling when we got an absolute GIFT on the 20. He is so meek and pathetic. YOU HAVE AN ELITE QUARTEBACK. YOU CAN'T RUN THE BALL. HE IS YOUR ONLY CHANCE. COACH THE TEAM YOU HAVE, NOT THE TEAM YOU WANT. This guy is a total Fing loser.

Edit/TLDR: Coach turtled on first and last possession like always. Let Love cook, he is elite. He is your only chance.

If you think run>run>pass is acceptable on the first drive after Love instantly, easily got you down there and is playing at an MVP level and you cannot run the ball at all, I simply do not know what to say to you. You have to give him more than one chance. You just have to.

Analysis Refs were bad.

I’m tired of this week’s argument that we lost the game the refs didn’t cost us the game even if they were terrible. That’s not the point. I and many others had just as many problems with the refs last week when we beat the cowboys. The refs don’t get a pass just because we couldn’t kick or catch. They sucked for two weeks in a row. Win loss doesn’t matter. They and the nfl need to be held accountable to all of the bad reffing no matter the outcome of the game.

That last weeks crew could throw a tantrum that anyone watching was aware of and not have the NFL publicly step forward and say anything beyond push the narrative of it didn’t cost Green Bay the game because Green Bay dropped and missed kicks. That’s nonsense. Consistency and accountability especially when the eye in the sky ref is there to make any needed corrections. Then after the game refs and or NFL need to be public in their accountability. Gain some trust and credibility back in the fan base league wide. NOW before it erodes any farther.

Fandom A Bit of Copium For Whoever Needs It

Good morning, Can I get a Go Pack Go?

I just wanted to spread some awareness for those still down about the Lions game this past Sunday I’m feeling even more optimistic about the Packers after that game and I’m going to tell you why. The Packers went into Ford field to battle a Lions team who was off a bye, healthier, and that was averaging 32 points a game. The Packers lost both their 1st and 2nd string centers and played a rookie guard who never took center snaps in the offseason (He played very well) They were without, Jayden Reed, Zak Bako Buwele, Newest addition Kevin Zeitler, Edge Cooper, Zaire Franklin, Jonathan Hargrave and Micah Parsons. Even with all that, the game came down to a last drive with the Lions winning by 3. We have all seen how bad the refs wanted the Lions to take that game…… All that was stacked against the Packers and they were in position to win anyway, they just didn’t execute (Two missed FG’s and a beautiful ball was dropped by Jacobs for a TD)

This defense held the Lions to 20 points and will only get better once Parsons is back along with Franklin. I have this gut feeling that they will be playing their best ball come December

All I’m saying is don’t hit the panic button. This team is extremely talented and will be in the mix at the end of the season. Call me a homer, but I know for sure that any other team with those things stacked against them lose to the Lions 41-10.

What do you guys think? Are you out on this season, or are you still optimistic like me?

Fandom Are you watching the Packer game on Thursday?

This picture is from the infamous fail mary game, but it perfectly depicts the incompetence of the refs right now.

Like I mentioned in another comment, I’ve been watching Packer football since Halloween night 1994 and this past Sunday, was the first and only time I turned off a game we still were in a position to win.

With the Brewers on the brink of winning the World Series, I’m honestly a little “sports’ed” out right now.

But beyond that, these stupid refs are absolutely insufferable and they are ruining football. I can’t be mad for 3 hours watching refs that nobody is there to see, make themselves the focal point of the game.

The team has been playing okay overall. But MLF with his decision making, Smack not being able to do his one and only job, the receivers and their drops and the nonstop mental errors is just too much to enjoy right now.

I never thought I’d get here but I’m so “meh” about Thursday and football in general. How are you guys feeling about the Packers and the direction the NFL is going in general?

News [La Canfora] K Joey Slye is gaining trade interest. Given their relationship with Saleh, an NFL GM suggested the 49ers as a potential destination for the Titans kicker, who carries a $2 million cap hit on an expiring contract, with the Rams also a possibility.

Fandom Referee Press Conference?

I have been generally wondering if Refs watch film or review games like players would do? Review all of the calls, judge the good, bad, ugly, or missed calls from the game. Would be interesting to see the results and the peer review to the public. Let them take accountability.

Packers lost the game from missed opportunities, the refs just helped seal the game.

Post might not be formatted or submitted right. Just extremely curious

Rumor Parsons

Is it time to start getting myself mentally prepared for Parsons to be shut down for the season?

If he hasn't been made eligible for practice yet that means the team still thinks he might be more than three weeks away from being ready. There is no other benefit to waiting.

Both Watson and Kraft were back to practice sooner than this. Surely there is something wrong at this point, right?

Can we just look around the league and see all the other teams losing?!? NO ONE looks dominant or running away with this thing. Who are you afraid of or who would you give Green Bay 0% chance of beating!?!

Get back on track with Carolina at home Thursday. The Vikings or Lions are losing this weekend.

Do I have to pull a ARod and tell you all what to do….

Analysis This Team Looks More and More Like the Dickey Era Packers

Impressive QB, two top receivers, a top TE, an incomplete offensive line, a patchwork DL, sub-par DBs, one solid and one semi-solid linebacker, with two strong safeties. Big difference--a HOF placekicker. One playoff win. Sadly undisciplined under Starr.

Fandom Don't get your hopes up for a massive trade

Andy Herman has mentioned that we have less than $8 mil in cap space. As much as we wanted Nelson, we simply would not be able to afford him even if we have the picks. It would take some major contract restructures or cut a big contract to get anyone note worthy.

It sure is a good thing that Brian called Indy about JT and didn’t check to see if they had any linemen available. Today they say they need a 1st for JT and trade Guard to Seattle. But we should be happy we extended Brian…

Analysis This Week Might Be Rough Again

We've been assigned Scott Novak's crew for this week who currently lead the NFL in penalties per game with over 20. Crazy work by the NFL after the past 2 weeks. Gonna be an uphill battle with this crew, really can't be having the missed kicks and drops again.

Analysis We're down two centers, Mekhi Becton is here, Zeitler still hasn't played, and Banks might be healthy. What the hell is our starting five?

Post image
103 Upvotes

John Williams stepped in at center Sunday and held his own considering the circumstances. Kudos to him. With Rhyan and Monk both sidelined, he seems like the obvious choice to start Thursday.

Meanwhile, we just promoted Mekhi Becton to the active roster. Kevin Zeitler is still waiting to make his Packers debut. Aaron Banks could potentially return to the lineup after playing 4 ST snaps Sunday.

Where does that leave us?

Morgan seems locked in at LT and Belton at RT. A shake-up there would be surprising. But the interior feels like just about everything is up for grabs.

Do we stick with Tomlinson and Glover at guard? Give Zeitler or Becton a shot? Does Banks immediately reclaim his starting job if healthy?

At this point, I'm not even sure what our best five looks like, much less who will actually be available Thursday.

What should our starting offensive line look like against Carolina?

Being 4-3 considering where the packers rank in some categories is actually kind of impressive. Could’ve easily been 5-2 as well if it wasn’t for the missed chip shots and bad calls

News [Brooke] The Packers and Bears made trade calls to the Colts about DeForest Buckner prior to his move to San Francisco. Indianapolis was reportedly seeking a second- or third-round pick at the time; the 49ers ultimately landed him for a 2027 fourth.

Fandom 2026 Packers Opponent Burger Series- Week 8- Carolina Panthers

For this week we have another simple, but good burger, a pimento cheeseburger. For this burger I used a 6 Oz patty on a potato roll over lettuce and beefsteak tomato. For the pimento cheese, I used George Motz's mother's recipe that he includes in The Great American Burger Book.

  • 8 Oz sharp cheddar
  • 1/2 C mayo
  • 4 Oz cream cheese
  • 4 Oz jar of diced pimentos (drained)
  • 2 Tbsp hot sauce

I think the last time I made this I may have used too much cream cheese, because this version was a lot better balanced. I could taste the hot sauce. My complaint the last time was that it was a bit too rich, and the acid from the hot sauce was missing. This is another burger that isn't particularly elaborate. It's just good. My fiancée was a bit dubious about the pimento because she's adamantly anti-olive, but even she came around on it.

Because the pimento cheese was so thick, I left the fries thicker than I normally make them, and man, it made for some good dipping. I was pretty pleased with my decision to make this breakfast, lunch, and dinner.
