Player Discussion Is this the most brutal start to fantasy bball ever?
It’s literally been 1 week since the season started and we’ve got
- Jdub likely out for season
- JJJ probably out for like 2+ months
- Paolo probably 2 months out
- Suggs probably a month out
- Duren 2+ weeks out
- Keegan Murray 2+ weeks out
- Kawhi (cooked) who knows when hes back
- cason Wallace out for most the season
- Kon Knueppel - Unknown return time
- Coby White - Unknown return time
- Ingram - Unknown return time
- Zubac TBC
- Lauri TBC
- Ausar TBC
- Chet seems to have a knee issue TBC
- Ben Simmons season over
- Kristaps might retire
- Nurkic out to start the season
- ANTHONY EDWARDS - 2 months
All in 1 week feels crazyy
EDIT: As people are saying it's the same every year, here's what I found for 1 week in to last season:
- Vanvleet out for season
- Garland Toe issue - few months
- Edey - Ankle surgery, done for season
- Lebron, scacitia, 3 weeks
- Herro, ankle, a month
- Edwards, Fox, Jalen Green - 1 week hamstring injuries
- Keegan Murray - Thumb, a month
- Luka - 1 week leg strain
- Scoot, hamstring tear (preseason), 4 months
- Kessler, out for season (Technically was after the 1st week of the season but will include it)
- Paul George - surgery recovery, 2 weeks
- Coby White - Calf strain, 2 weeks
- Miller, shoulder, 2-3 weeks
- Trae, 1.5 months, and then Wizards shenanigans (technically was the 2nd week as well)
Last season was definitely still rough, but I think this season is way worse, particularly I think because of the length of the injuries to higher quality fantasy players

Breaking News Utah Jazz star Jaren Jackson Jr. has sustained a torn MCL in his right knee and will be sidelined for 6-to-8 weeks, sources tell me and @BannedMacMahon. Jackson will not require surgery.

Injury Report [Krawczynski] Anthony Edwards will have surgery on Thursday. As of now, the belief is it's going to be more than two months.
Oh boy

Player Discussion Day’Ron “Butterknife” Sharpe
Sharpe looked like a solid breakout candidate coming into the season, with a clear path to starting minutes and strong per-minute rebounding and defensive production.
His minutes through four games are concerning:
Oct 21: 30 minutes
Oct 24: 23 minutes (ejected)
Oct 25: 16 minutes (blowout)
Oct 27: 17 minutes (OT loss)
The ejection and blowout are understandable, but 17 minutes in a competitive OT game is harder to explain.
Moritz Wagner played 22 minutes against Boston, putting up 15 points while Sharpe finished with 4 points and 6 boards. Sharpe had four fouls, but Wagner increasingly looks like legitimate competition for minutes.
At 27–30 MPG, Sharpe has plenty of fantasy appeal, particularly in points leagues. At 18–22, he’s probably waiver fodder in standard leagues.
Is this early-season rotation tinkering, a matchup issue, or the beginning of a genuine timeshare? What’s everyone expecting for his minutes and role ROS?

Injury Report Toronto's Kawhi Leonard is expected to miss a period of weeks due to swelling in his left knee, sources tell ESPN. MRI on Leonard's knee showed no structural damage, but sides will use the shorter term to ramp him back up after the stoppages during the offseason.

Injury Report [Slater]: Egor Demin just came up grabbing his leg after a non-contact play. He subbed out and hobbled to the locker room. Will get an update on this.

Player Discussion Clingan
Can someone fill me in on wtf is going on to start the season? I drafted him in the fourth round at his ADP after hearing he’d be one of the best centers in the league but he’s getting 20 minutes a game and killing me here so far. Am I missing something with this guy? (Never paid much attention to him or Portland before)

Player Discussion Micah Nori: “Like I told them, you're (Lillard, Jrue, Morant) going to get yourself to your 28 to 30, 32 minutes. It might not be the 36.„
x.comFull quote:
Micah Nori: “Like I told them, you're going to get yourself to your 28 to 30, 32 minutes. It might not be the 36. And I don't think that those three guys, when I say those three - Jrue, Ja, and Dame - they may get those every once in a while, but I don't think consistently that it'd be fair to them to play them that much.”

Injury Report Kyrie Irving is questionable (knee) against the Thunder
Do we think this is going to be an ongoing issue for the rest of the season? I thought he would be fully healthy, given he had 18 months to recover.

Player Discussion Terrence Shannon Jr.
Will TSJ be getting more of a minutes increase than Ayo as a result of Ant’s absense? He’s been doing pretty well on low 20’s minutes per game, but it’s hard to tell who’s going to be the guy to step up on the Twolves. Only 6% rostered in ESPN leagues

Discussion Yahoo IL- Out Designation
So you're telling me- when a player is Out, we move him to IL then yahoo changes the tag immediately after the game to P/Q, it forces us to readd them to the lineup even if they dont have a game for the next couple of days; blocking a pickup.
Isnt this frustrating after removing IL+? Like should the player not just be tagged O until the day of their next game?

Player Discussion Some Buy-High Suggestions!
Always see the "Sell-high & Buy-lows," but nobody ever talks about buying good players who are just performing well. Here's my quick list of buys that you can buy high or, ideally, at a fair cost.
- Domantas Sabonis: Just looks so good already, doesn't he? Monster contributor across the board. His cost shouldn't be too crazy just yet, but he looks like a first/second rounder rest of the season.
- Tyrese Maxey: Everyone was harping on the potential decline in usage and counting stats, but clearly it isn't the case. He looks even better with more options around him and is still the dominating contributor he was last year.
- Tyrese Haliburton: Achilles recovery is a glorified sprained ankle now. He looks incredible. He's been a solid scorer, an assist monster with relatively low turnovers, and he's efficient!
- Jaden McDaniels: The clear #3 option on the Twolves. He's gonna be massively impactful this year and has shown it. Has to carry an offensive and defensive load. Averaging 15/6/3 with about 2 stocks per game. Solid piece to have on a winning multicategory fantasy team!
- Kel'el Ware: Superman! He's looked super dominant in these minutes-restricted performances. Getting into foul trouble too. Can only assume Jenkins expands his role, minutes, and his foul rate comes down a ton.
- Brandon Miller: They just paid him $200m, traded LaMelo, and are giving him the ULTIMATE GREEN LIGHT. The efficiency is a concern, but rest assured it will bounce back up. He's the clear #1 option and Averages 2.5 stocks (right now) too!
- Pascal Siakam: One of the more boring players according to this subreddit to own in fantasy. But he's just an immense all-around contributor for your team. 23/7/4 a night on respectable efficiency, and the Pacers may be without Zubac for an extended period.
- Walker Kessler: Luka has shown us that he can turn some of the worst big men into serious contributors, but Kessler is already elite and now getting Luka adds boosted efficiency and scoring opportunities at or near the rim. Add in his rebounding, shot-blocking, and the Lakers' lack of bigs around him. It's an easy buy.
- Keyonte George: Lauri and JJJ might be out for an extended period; the possibility for even more production is here. Keyonte has already looked awesome as a scorer and playmaker. He's been efficient but has had some issues with turnovers. If you can stomach the turnovers, he's a buy.
- Kevin Durant: Maybe the most consistent and efficient player to give you 24-30 points every night. He's looked good and has even been grabbing boards and getting some blocks. Easy buy.

Player Discussion Peyton Watson has 12 stocks in 3 games.
Had a sick game last with 7 stocks, 8 rebounds and 15 points. He's been at 30+ minutes in 3 games. Are we holding? He's literally the only athletic defensive wing on the Cav's roster. They kind of need him. Yeah, he'll have bad shooting nights, but nights like this is why I think you should hold.

Player Discussion Tari mf Eason
BACK UP TAR!! iykyk
What are we thinking about this absolute hound this season. Hes playing 31 mins the last 2 games and getting really decent value. Is he more than keepable aka more valuable than streamer spot?
For those who watch Le Rockets please give insight. We all know Tar is a dawg just wanna know this season outlook for him. If any single player in HOU goes down im definitely snagging but considering dropping him to open a roster slot as I currently don’t have any streaming spots in 10T ESPN points.
Let me know ur thoughts SIUPPPP
