Player Discussion Clingan

Can someone fill me in on wtf is going on to start the season? I drafted him in the fourth round at his ADP after hearing he’d be one of the best centers in the league but he’s getting 20 minutes a game and killing me here so far. Am I missing something with this guy? (Never paid much attention to him or Portland before)

First game was an omega blowout, second game he got 3 fouls in 4 minutes of game time. This game I don't know I'm upset too

I took him at round 4 and Edey round 6 and both have looked ugly to start. Hope they turn things around because the waiver wire has had a lot of serviceable centers and I could have had much better picks so far lol

Rob Will is out playing him right now with less minutes...

If Timelord wasn’t made of glass he’d be the starting center bc of how good he is

His minutes are low and frankly they’re not running plays for him, but Robert Williams isn’t exactly an iron man. However I can’t explain his lack of blocks. All I know is him, Sharpe, and OO are underperforming and guess who happens to have all 3? 🤡

Can someone explain why they are refusing to play him in the clutch...

For this particular game Luka was subbed out from the end of the 3rd to around minute 6 of the 4th, by which point Rob got the minutes because he was getting used on the perimeter to pretty succesfully force luka into passing

Both teams are making every perimeter shot and floater under the sun. Not much for him to contest at the basket, not many offensive board opportunities, not even many defensive board chances this game so far. Don’t worry about it.

word of advice i would not listen to the opinions of reddit when it comes to draft advice. i’ve said it for quite some time his ceiling his so limited and there isn’t really much room for growth. he does really well what he’s supposed to which is rebound, protect the rim, and catch lobs, but it doesnt exactly translate to fantasy. you can’t put the ball in his hands and ask him to get you a bucket- so the blazers just don’t. he usually just camps the dunkers spot but the blazers have so many guys that can just score themselves that unless he’s wide open they’ll just take the shot themselves. he still can’t stretch the floor which honestly in today’s NBA makes you so limited even as a big man and even more so when you play with guys like Deni and Ja who want to get to the rim to score their points

Game 1) Blowout
Game 2) Foul Trouble
Game 3) He's sucking and looks like he didn't practice all summer (still just the 1st quarter though).

Only 1 game to be worried about so far. It's still early.

Had him last season, he was great. Grabbed boards, blocked shots, could consistently make FTs, and make the occasional 3.

Took him again this season; my patience is being tested for sure

Timelord is healthy and will take minutes away depending on the matchup.

Drafting him early was not ideal, 4th round is his ceiling. He still has a ways to go before he is consistent.

Ja seems to prefer playing with timelord

He did take him a.while to get cooking last season, could be a rough couple months but he’ll come right

What annoys me is Robert Williams is closing games instead of him too. WTF

I think the difference is there were more shots to go around last season without Dame and Ja

I’m holding but it’s def frustrating. We’ve seen what he can do and there’s likely no one on the waiver wire with as much upside as him.

He was pretty trash to start last season too. Hopefully he’ll turn it around soon

I picked him as the 58th player in the Draft…so he’s fine. But we have 4 Centers max, so may stream the Center position if he doesn’t pick it up.
