Questions Chopsticks are a prank that got out of hand in a big way
There's no way cultures with such a delicious culinary foundation built on tiny grains of rice developed chopsticks. They were actually a prank played on dumb European colonialists to pass off the most impractical implements as possible.
Somehow it stuck and here we are

I Ate Chinese Mitten Crab
Nothing fancy, boiled and eaten. Very rich innards and something as an American I was fairly unfamiliar with. Not sure where they specifically came from but eaten in Fuzhou.

I Ate You know it's good when the food examples are yellow and faded
A funny trend I've noticed is some of my favorite Chinese food/ American Chinese food places always have the yellow faded food examples. Has anyone else noticed this before? Shout-out to Golden-China in SC

I Cooked Around noon, I made dumplings, twenty in total, with pork and scallion filling. They tasted good, and I ate them all in one go.

I Cooked From homemade char siu yesterday to char siu filling.
Made the char siu yesterday, and today I turned it into steamed bun filling! Sautรฉed some shallots and garlic, added a little mushroom, then tossed in the chopped char siu. Canโt wait to stuff my steamed buns with this!

I Cooked Chicken Shrimp Potstickers
Made some chicken and shrimp potstickers! ๐ฅ I love getting the bottoms nice and crispy while keeping the filling juicy and flavorful.
They're so good dipped in a little soy sauce and chili oil. I always end up eating more than I planned! ๐
I'll leave the recipe in the comment.
Do you prefer your dumplings pan-fried or steamed?
