Last time it moved was in June, even with a nice car cover it still gets crazy dusty. Waiting to see what a dealer will offer on it, doesn't seem right to let it just sit.

❓Question Buying a V6 Camaro suggestions

I posted on here about how I was renting an old 2015 automatic convertible Camaro RS. It’s been almost 2 weeks and I’m really digging this car.

It has just enough power to make it fun, but not get yourself in big trouble doing a light pull, it’s surprisingly really composed in the corners too.

This was something I disregarded as “base model v6 fake muscle car”. I was wrong

I think on a budget, this is a great value. Only thing this thing is missing is a manual transmission, a hard top (this mf is heavy), the most subtle barely louder than stock axle back exhaust and maybe better interior lighting.

I can see myself holding onto this thing for many years. Under 20k, should I grab a 2013-2015? 2016-2020? Would like to get the best condition and lowest mileage option available unless it’s worth it to stretch a little further for a newer model.

Also 87 octane is sweet

🛠️ Problem 2018 Chevy Camaro 1SS

My friend just purchased a 2018 Camaro 1SS manual. Dropped me off at my house turned the corner and 1->2 the car NLS, instant flashing check engine light and heavy misfire. Pulled the codes and it has a #7 mis code. Pulled the spark plug, and it was wet (i think oil). Put a new plug in, still missed. Swapped coils, still #7 missing. Was running some diagnostic tests with it today on my scanner, and started to smell oil, didn't think much due to him changing the oil same time we did the plug. Turned around to see a cloud of thick smoke, white in color, smells like oil. Starting to wish it was just a lifter for his sake now, but my assumption is that #7 hole shit the bed. Pulled the new plug back out and it was wet again, with what smelt like oil.

❓Question Buying a high milage 2018 Camaro ZL1

I am currently thinking about buying a 2018 ZL1 with 100k miles. To be honest the main reason is the price as I can't afford a low milage one.

Is it a bad idea? I am going to do a PPI but is there anything specific to look for in the LT4 engines ? Is the automatic transmission reliable like the manual ?

Finally figured out what was causing my motor knock and ended up going with a forged crankshaft and bigger cam from texas speed while I was there. Car made 457 HP and 443 lb. ft. of torque at the wheels so I'm pretty happy. It did start randomly locking up the back right wheel at low speeds though so I have to figure that out when I can, but overall just happy the motor is finally good. I Moved away for tech school so its on the back burner right now, but I'm pretty sure its a slide pin sticking or some brake related issue, as it only happens when I try to stop from a low speed.

❓Question Dashcam Hardwire Fuses

I’ve been struggling to find fuses that work for hardwiring my dashcam. I bought the redtiger F17 with the hardwire kit and am running it to the rear fuse box.

I found that F16 works as a batt fuse (always on) but couldn’t find a ACC fuse that works. I had the ACC in F25 and got the cam to turn on but it turned off after a few seconds and wouldn’t turn back on. This was also a fuse that wouldn’t be a solid candidate based on the ACC light turning on when the ignition was both off and on, according to the installation guide.

Has anyone installed this kit on their car or have suggestions for which fuses to use? Car is a 22’ 1SS 1LE manual, I know they change car to car.

Let me know! Any advice would be huge.

❓Question First time buyer

Hey yall, i recently found a 2015 SS and was curious about other peoples opinons on it.
It's currently listed at $13,988 and has a very well maintained CarFax record, with that being said i noticed one "issue" that kinda bugged me and that its had a Rebuilt transmission and a replaced Torque converter. Ive been in contact with the guy and he's sent me videos of him going upwards of 60mph, with no RPM issues.
Im not big into Camaro knowledge lol, which is why im asking reddit. Im gonna ask for a cold start video in the morning, is there anything else i should ask?
The Camaros a - 2015 SS, 6.2L V8, Automatic Transmission.
140k on the miles (Ik its a decent bit)

❓Question 6gen Springs?

Hey y'all, I have a 2017 Camaro 1SS automatic with 48,000 miles. I bought it at 27,000 miles, and I'm the second owner.

The car has never been tracked or abused, and all maintenance is up to date, including a transmission flush and other fluid services. It's also dynotuned and makes 474 RWHP.

I don't plan on racing or tracking the car. I just enjoy driving it, having some fun with the power occasionally, and cruising.

I've been considering BMR lowering springs to improve the stance and close up the wheel gap. From what I understand, they lower the front approximately 3/4 inch and the rear 1 inch.

My question is, are lowering springs actually worth it? I'm mainly interested in improving the overall appearance, reducing wheel gap, and potentially getting a slight improvement in handling without sacrificing too much ride quality.

I've received installation quotes ranging from $400–$600, plus an alignment. I'm trying to decide whether the improvement is worth the cost, especially since I'm happy with how the car currently drives.

Also, I'm not particularly mechanically savvy, and between working a lot and having limited free time, doing the spring installation myself isn't something I'm interested in tackling. I'd rather have a professional shop handle the installation.

I'm not interested in coilovers, and I'm not planning on trading or selling the car. I genuinely enjoy my Camaro and just want to improve its stance and overall appearance.

For those running BMR lowering springs on a 6th-gen SS, how has your experience been? Any noticeable changes in ride quality, handling, suspension noise, or long-term reliability?

Appreciate any feedback!
