Focus isn't perfect but thought it captured the moment in a fun way.

Picked up a mju ii for ÂŁ70 at a charity shop. Carrying around a point and shoot camera has reengaged my relationship with film photography after only shooting digital for many years. I've been caffenol processing the rolls and scanning them with an old canon FD 50mm macro lens and a drawing lightbox i was gifted as a way to attempt to keep it cost effective.

I'm enjoying the mental freeness it's given me. There's no pressure to make good work, it's just instinctual and the process of developing is making me slow down and for an hour and just have fun doing something creative i love.

It's nice to be using film again and purely for no stakes fun.

Hey guys!!! I recently got back my first rolls of film and am super excited about the results!!
I shot three at the same time: the first didn’t catch and was completely blank when I turned it into the lab đŸ€Ș, the second I didn’t roll back all the way before I opened the back, but the third turned out like this! I managed to get all 36 shots back but these are my favorites.
I ordered a tripod as i’ve been having trouble getting the right amount of light. My hands shake a lot and I was having a really hard time balancing the shutter speed and light meter, so hopefully that will help in the future :)

Just curious why this might happen? I fixed the POD and rewired the neg battery connector. Also cleaned the lens. Kodak 400.

I went on a cruise with my family during the summer. The sun was intense out at sea, and looking at these photos takes me right back to the heat of those summer days.

my non-half frame camera busted its shutter literally day 1 of my trip, and thanks to kitamura camera in akihabara (amazing service btw!), i ended up with a canon f1n that i shot most of my japan trip with completely untested, hoping all the film developed -- and it did! please excuse any awkward focus or framing as i was learning this camera on the fly, haha.

so here's the first batch from the showa museum in takayama, which i highly recommend as a fun place to bring a cool color stock and explore a bit. these aren't edited, just pulled straight from the scans.
