Hi Utahns, we are 4 guys (24) from Denmark coming to Utah for a road trip in February 2027 (7th-28th). We were hoping to get a bit of a glimpse into some real American culture. We really want to meet locals and try some local experiences. We are looking for suggestions for what we should do, see and where we should go. 

If you or someone you know has suggestions about local experiences or events, we would love to hear from you! It could also be trying to work on a ranch, ride horses or something completely different. We are open to all ideas.

I am looking for legal advice, please!!

I live around tooele county, work in a healthcare setting at a dr office & was recently assaulted at work when the provider I work with smacked my butt two times (Same incident) i immediately was taken aback, said “that was WEIRD (his name)!” And he hurriedly walked away saying “sorry sorry “. I did call my manager who came immediately, and he was pretty much fired on the spot. I filed a police report & said I am wanting to press charges (s\*xual assault) There have been MULTIPLE times female coworkers have voiced him making them uncomfortable, saying inappropriate things, etc & he was ‘talked to and going to change’ which, never really happened. I had a phone call with the owner in which I recorded (one party consent state) where I voiced all of these concerns & he even admitted he knows he messed up & ‘in hindsight obviously if we could go back, I wouldn’t have hired him’. I told him there were multiple opportunities to let him go but only a slap on the wrist (an inch) was given, so he quickly felt comfortable taking a mile.

Here’s where I need help navigating things. I have been considering suing, to be completely honest. I am so tired of things being swept under the rug & nothing done (in this specific company & harassment/abusers in general!) especially when multiple times, things were voiced about us being uncomfortable. Is this something worth pursuing/would hold up in court? Any ideas, help, guidance, etc is helpful. Even if you don’t think I have a good leg to stand on, etc. anything is helpful to hear. Thank you!!!! I am open to paying for a lawyer of course if things progress to that point, at this time I am looking for any guidance or support

Hi guys!

I have a college biology project due this Saturday, and for my project, I need to photograph a Milkweed plant, bugs interacting with an Alfalfa Plant, or Monarch Butterflies. There is a website she provided me with, but I don't really have the time to scout the entire state of Utah for these items.

I am wondering if anyone in the valley within 30 miles of Kearns/West Valley has these plants planted in their yards that I would be able to photograph. I am aware that they might be dying or dead, but these are the only requirements for my project.

I have been doing some woodworking using lumber from big box stores. Last year I built custom shadow boxes using lumber from Ash trees that fell at my in-laws place that I milled and dried myself. They were beautiful.

I have the tools and the desire so I am going to replace all the cabinets in my house.

I would like to find a supplier for rough cut lumber and maybe lower prices on sheet products. I have found lots of shops that want to make me cabinets, but none that just provide wood. I have also found plenty of places that sell construction grade wood. Also not what I am looking for.

What other suppliers are out there? I would love something north of Salt Lake if possible.

I’m thinking of hiking Lone Peak this weekend, does anyone have experience hiking it this late in the season? Any tips/warnings?

Seeking Advice: First Speeding Ticket in Utah (Out-of-State Driver)

I'm looking for some advice regarding a speeding ticket I recently received in Blanding, Utah.

I'm a Delaware resident and was pulled over for allegedly driving 47 mph in a 30 mph zone. However, I'm fairly certain I was traveling around 38 mph. The speed limit changed suddenly as I entered the town, and I may not have noticed the change immediately.

The officer stated that I was going 47 mph, and I chose not to argue at the time.

This is my first traffic stop and speeding ticket in nearly 10 years of driving in the US, so I'm unfamiliar with how to handle this situation, especially as an out-of-state driver.

My main concern is avoiding points on my driving record and any increase in my car insurance premiums.

I'd really appreciate advice on the following:

Is it worth contesting the ticket or hiring a traffic attorney in Utah?

Are there options like traffic school, a plea in abeyance, or a reduced charge to keep this off my driving record?

Could this ticket affect my Delaware driving record and insurance rates?

Has anyone dealt with a similar situation in Blanding or San Juan County, Utah?

Any advice or personal experiences would be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance!
