Picture/तस्वीर View from Syangja: Clear blue skies, open roads, and snow mountains peeking through the hills.
There is something special about hitting the road on a clear sunny day.
Looking at the yellow marigold flowers by the green valley, crossing suspension bridges, and seeing Machhapuchhre (Fishtail) stand tall in the distance makes every kilometer worth it. You don't always need a big plan—sometimes you just need to step outside, take a ride, and explore the little moments along the way.

How much should I charge for this real estate website in Nepal?
Public Website Features:
- 4–5 responsive pages with modern UI and animations.
- Dynamic property and plot listings. Search and filter functionality.
- Property cards displaying key details.
- Individual property detail pages with complete information and photos.
- WhatsApp contact button for each property.
- Listings update dynamically when the admin makes changes.
Admin Dashboard Features: Secure admin login. Add properties using a form with 10–14 fields. Upload multiple property images. View all listed properties. Edit and delete existing properties. Automatically publish new listings to the public website. Additional: Hosting included for the first year; Rs. 2,000/year from the second year onward.
Question: What would be a fair price for this project in the Nepali market? Is Rs. 20,000 reasonable?

Moving to Nepal For Good in 2027
Time flies. It truly did and does fly so fast. I still remember walking into the US embassy back in 2016 for my student visa interview. Right after passing 12th. At the time, it felt like an achievement and no complaints; it was kind of an achievement, especially coming from a low-middle-class family. Spent 10 years ( most of my late teenage years up until now- currently 29 years old ). With god’s grace I at least was able to get my GC and recently got my US citizenship. I am currently getting my CDL (commercial driving license) and plan on getting enough hands-on experience before leaving. Then the plan is to spend the majority of my time in a year in Nepal with my family and just travel here to work for 7-8 months, most likely driving trucks around the states or worst case I could be doing uber in bigger cities like NY or San Fransisco in rented cars. I want to explore Nepal. To be honest, still not sure but I could just see me doing some sort of gigs instead of frequent need of traveling (own business- dry foods related, or coffee-teas export along with herbs and stuff to either USA or abroad). Again for this business thing time will tell. I mean if anyone here who truly understands my post (could be the one currently living abroad or in Nepal) could you please share your thoughts on the decision?
By the way I am way too into mountain biking ( currently have my Trek Fuel MX 9.8 XT Di2 Gen 7) planning on bringing my bike with me to Nepal.

Child abuse in educational facilities
Hello everyone I am a first generation American-Nepali citizen and I was just wondering do teachers still discipline their students physically and harshly in Nepal or did it ever happen? My parents ever since from a young age told me how back in Nepal the teachers were so harsh and strict on them and demonstrated punishments they’d do with their fingers and pencils and also spoke about how they would whoop them and other physical disciplinary actions. So I’m just wondering is this currently happening in schools or is it even true?

Help/सहयोग Looking to work for an organization for free
Hi everyone,
I am currently a Nepali student at a US university, and my university is funding me to pursue an internship/volunteering opportunity in Nepal for about 6 weeks, all expenses covered!
As such, I want to work for an organization that is struggling with budget, or low personnel to help them in their goals. I can devote full time for 6 weeks, and I have a broad range of skills: teaching, grant writing, basically any type of writing work you may have, research skills, interview skills. I can probably fit in and learn any other skill as well, except for technical skills like video editing or cinematography. I can travel to anywhere within Nepal, or in India, if that’s where you are based. I will handle all costs, and you will just get free work in return! If my experience goes well, I can help bring other students that will work for you over the next summer!
So, if you have a genuine goal, and are struggling to find people, I can work for your organization for free, and hopefully bring some change. However, please have a certain goal that you’re working towards, and let me know how I can help your organization progress to that goal!
Thanks in advance!

Does anyone understand this feeling?
I'm feeling loved by strangers, by random things in my room and by the streets. I'm getting flashbacks, memories, and imaginations of the future. I want to be loved, I want to love, I'm missing my nonexistent lover, I'm missing my home, my parents and that comfort. But here I am, in a dead city with high dreams. I'm having so many thoughts, idk what I should take first, idk what is right and wrong. But I only know that home was better. I'm just feeling something I can't even express, so I just wrote whatever came into my mind. 🍂

Question/प्रश्न Convocation form yet to be approved
Hey everyone!
I filled out my convocation form on October 19, but it is still yet to be approved. Since it was around the Dashain holiday, I was wondering if the approval process has been delayed because of the holidays.
Is anyone else facing the same issue, or have your forms already been approved?
Also, will I receive an email if there's something incorrect or missing in my form, or do I need to check the portal myself?
Just wanted to know the status of other people's applications. Thanks!

Why do Nepali doctors say not to eat meat after taking juka ko ausadhi?
Why do doctors and pharmacists in Nepal tell us to avoid meat for 24 hours after taking deworming medicine (juka ko ausadhi)? 🤔
From what I’ve read online, there’s no strong evidence that this restriction is necessary for common deworming medicines
