Some people just belittling those who vibe code products. Vibe coding or let's say coding with AI agents is way to go guys there is no other way around it. We all need to accept and adapt to it.
Building good polished products that solves problems is still hard and good products still sell.
Being succumbed to fear that AI is taking over your jobs or business and spreading pessimism around won't take you anywhere.
Lay off, seeking job desperately is all I see here. How about supporting each other and sharing monetization/marketing/sales ideas instead? How about sharing successes of your vibe coded products or better way to automate software development.

I work at a midsized b2b saas company, more on operation side ( trying to make a switch to SWE as been coding for like 3 years during free time)
I talk to SWEs and most of them say - AI will replace everyone within 1-2 years, and they also mention not writing code manually for a long time now.
But the thing is we usually have one major incident per month, customers are not happy about it and some are trying to leave the platform ( the root cause is always code, usually app code and rarely infra code)
The jira board of dev team is full with months of backlogs, when asked about possible hiring, SWE manager said " leadership is expecting more from us because of AI so no immediate opening as of now"
Are devs at my company just incompetent? Or AI aint making SWEs obsolete anytime soon? What's your experience?

Hii
Little bit about me, I have completed my BSc in IT and have some internship experience in software development. Now I'm planning to move to the US for masters in computer science, but before making such a big decision I wanted to get some genuine advice from people who are already there.
I have few questions:
I know getting a job is not guaranteed, but I just want to understand the reality from people who are actually studying there or recently graduated.
Would really appreciate some honest advice from you guys. Thanks!

Some of you might remember my post from January asking if anyone would switch from Hamro Keyboard to a new Nepali keyboard. 34 comments, and the verdict was roughly:
Fair. I read every comment, nodded, closed Reddit, forgot it for 9 months, got bored and spend few days building it anyway. Classic.
So I didn't try to out-Gboard Gboard. I added the stuff I thought were cool but no nepali keyboard does:
aaja or bholi and it suggests the Bikram Sambat date: २०८३ कार्तिक ११, बुधबार. No more opening a patro just to write a date.ru 500 → पाँच सय रुपैयाँ मात्र. 1500000 → १५,००,००० or पन्ध्र लाख. Your bank's cheque counter uncle will be impressed.5 aana → (१,७११ वर्ग फिट). Ropani, bigha, kattha and tola work too. For when relatives start talking jagga at a wedding and you need to keep up.Privacy: no account, no login, and nothing you type gets sent or saved. Typing, suggestions and clipboard all work offline. Voice typing uses your phone's speech service (usually Google), and only when you tap the mic. Handwriting is off until you turn it on.
Price (gotta satisfy rule 2 of this subreddit 😉): free. No ads, no pop-ups, and no distraction while you're typing.
Catch: Android only. To the person who asked for a good Romanized keyboard on iOS: I hear you, it's not there yet.
If Gboard works for you, honestly, keep using it. But if you think these useless features are cool, give this a try and tell me what breaks. Especially words it romanizes wrong. That list is how it gets better.

Have a good day everyone!

Hey r/technepal, I need an honest reality check or some serious damage control advice.
I applied for a junior backend role at a top-tierish tech company here in Nepal. Out of 100+ applicants on LinkedIn, they called me for a quick 5-minute screening.(they had only called about 3 people out of 100) They seemed genuinely impressed with my profile but asked: "Did you complete your Bachelor's? We are looking for candidates who have completed it."
My brain panicked, and trying to stretch my chances, I said: "I am in my last semester."
Reality check: I am actually in my last year, not my last semester.
The job requires standard 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM office hours. My college is foreign-affiliated, and my classes run 4 days a week, usually from 7:00 AM to 11:00 AM (sometimes up to 12:30 PM on specific days).
If I take this job, I am guaranteed to miss at least one hour of class daily—and up to 2.5 hours on those long days. To make matters worse, my professor is incredibly strict and definitely not the forgiving type when it comes to attendance.
They said they will notify me if I get selected for the final interview. I am majorly stressing because:
Did I completely screw myself over? If they call me back for the interview, how do I fix this without sounding like a fraud, while figuring out this impossible schedule? Help a brother out.

I made an online python interpreter that can run your python code online; no need to install anything
Features:
- supports matplotlib (pyodide engine)
- material design (cuz i like it)
- supports exporting your files
- has layouts for mobile and desktop
- Code highlighting
---
I built it mainly focused on mobile since python is kinda messed up in phones and other web apps have weird ui.
Site link: https://pyzer.vercel.app
(I used AI to build js and work with material design, the idea and implementation was mine. I test every change before publishing)
GitHub repo: https://github.com/chomuloll69-oss/pyzer
Ignore my GitHub account name btw

I was trying to implement couple of features on a CRM.
1. leads collector from meta ads through webhook
2. chat aggregator one platform to reply to 3 platforms(whatsapp, facebook messenger, instagram) for a business.
in both, verification issues were main headache and lack of a standard set way for implementation ..
If any of you know something that can help it.
It would be huge help.

This is the second round of the project. A number of developers participated in the first round and received compensation for their existing work. Can share more details and evidence of previous payouts if anyone's interested.
We're mainly looking for developers who have substantial projects sitting in private repositories, could be old side projects, abandoned products or fully developed applications.
A few requirements:
The idea is to license existing codebases rather than have anyone build something new. You retain ownership of your IP, and compensation is discussed individually after the project has been assessed.
If you have something that fits, feel free to reach out with a brief description, approximate year of development, tech stack and estimated codebase size.
No need to share any source code upfront. Happy to explain the process and answer questions here as well.
