Moving to Nepal For Good in 2027
Time flies. It truly did and does fly so fast. I still remember walking into the US embassy back in 2016 for my student visa interview. Right after passing 12th. At the time, it felt like an achievement and no complaints; it was kind of an achievement, especially coming from a low-middle-class family. Spent 10 years ( most of my late teenage years up until now- currently 29 years old ). With god’s grace I at least was able to get my GC and recently got my US citizenship. I am currently getting my CDL (commercial driving license) and plan on getting enough hands-on experience before leaving. Then the plan is to spend the majority of my time in a year in Nepal with my family and just travel here to work for 7-8 months, most likely driving trucks around the states or worst case I could be doing uber in bigger cities like NY or San Fransisco in rented cars. I want to explore Nepal. To be honest, still not sure but I could just see me doing some sort of gigs instead of frequent need of traveling (own business- dry foods related, or coffee-teas export along with herbs and stuff to either USA or abroad). Again for this business thing time will tell. I mean if anyone here who truly understands my post (could be the one currently living abroad or in Nepal) could you please share your thoughts on the decision?
By the way I am way too into mountain biking ( currently have my Trek Fuel MX 9.8 XT Di2 Gen 7) planning on bringing my bike with me to Nepal.

Why do Nepali doctors say not to eat meat after taking juka ko ausadhi?
Why do doctors and pharmacists in Nepal tell us to avoid meat for 24 hours after taking deworming medicine (juka ko ausadhi)? 🤔
From what I’ve read online, there’s no strong evidence that this restriction is necessary for common deworming medicines

Prostitute in Nepal. Garden of Lust and Pain.
Is it Legal?
From 2079 I had started researching on prostitute. And what I got is really disgusting. The girls from least develop district and remote area have to suffer. For us prostitute are material for lust but for them it's their way to tackle poverty. How much did they earn? This question always boost me to do more research on them. At first I used to thought that they earn a lot but as I watched them from near I found that their rate starts from 1000 or 1500 in some of area for 1 shot and 5000 for whole night. I asked them earning Rs1000 per shot means nearly 15-20k per day which is better than spending whole night but their answer had disturbed me . They used to prefer night because they receive more i.e 5000 because during 1 shot they only receive 400-600 , remaining money is taken by owner. I had lots of story which made me stop my research. If you want more about my research you can dm me directly.

Child abuse in educational facilities
Hello everyone I am a first generation American-Nepali citizen and I was just wondering do teachers still discipline their students physically and harshly in Nepal or did it ever happen? My parents ever since from a young age told me how back in Nepal the teachers were so harsh and strict on them and demonstrated punishments they’d do with their fingers and pencils and also spoke about how they would whoop them and other physical disciplinary actions. So I’m just wondering is this currently happening in schools or is it even true?

Help/सहयोग Looking to work for an organization for free
Hi everyone,
I am currently a Nepali student at a US university, and my university is funding me to pursue an internship/volunteering opportunity in Nepal for about 6 weeks, all expenses covered!
As such, I want to work for an organization that is struggling with budget, or low personnel to help them in their goals. I can devote full time for 6 weeks, and I have a broad range of skills: teaching, grant writing, basically any type of writing work you may have, research skills, interview skills. I can probably fit in and learn any other skill as well, except for technical skills like video editing or cinematography. I can travel to anywhere within Nepal, or in India, if that’s where you are based. I will handle all costs, and you will just get free work in return! If my experience goes well, I can help bring other students that will work for you over the next summer!
So, if you have a genuine goal, and are struggling to find people, I can work for your organization for free, and hopefully bring some change. However, please have a certain goal that you’re working towards, and let me know how I can help your organization progress to that goal!
Thanks in advance!

Help/सहयोग Giving away old cupboards, showcases and furnitures
I have some 15-20 pieces of showcases, furniture and cupboards used to display and show-case items in a tailoring store at home, that I want to get rid of or use to make it into wardrobes or other types of furniture. We used to own 3 tailoring shops back in the day- around 8years back and we still have most of those furniture and items locked away in a storage at home.
If anyone needs them please feel free to DM me I can send pictures of how they look and if it is suitable anyone can take it as we don't need them anymore, no money or transaction- it is for free, just need to arrange transport and manpower to take it away.
Alternately, if there are any carpenters and furniture dealers here in the sub, I am happy to reuse them to modify them to relevant modern-day furniture and wardrobe, which I can pay for the job.
I am currently based in the UK and my mom will be happy to let you see or take them or if possible modify them for us- will pay for it.
If anyone knows someone who needs these items or someone who can reuse them for my own use, feel free to DM me. Happy to let it go for free or pay for the modification.
PS: I do not have the pictures at the moment as I just made the post. I will post pictures here in the comments of sharing them to everyone who contacts me in next 1-2 days once my mom sends them over to me.

Title: Planning my first Nepal trek to Annapurna Base Camp (ABC) from Tamil Nadu, India — Need advice
Hey everyone!
I'm planning to travel from Tamil Nadu, India, to Nepal in December 2026 for the Annapurna Base Camp (ABC) trek. This will be my first Himalayan trekking experience, and I'm looking for advice from people who have already done this trek.
I'm planning to travel solo and join a group or hire a guide for the trek.
My plan:
- Starting point: Tamil Nadu, India (Nagercoil/Chennai)
- Destination: Annapurna Base Camp (ABC), Nepal
- Month: December 2026
- Duration: Around 12–14 days, including travel
- Budget: ₹15,000–₹20,000 (trying to keep it as cheap as possible)
- Experience: Beginner trekker
I have a few questions:
Is December a good time to trek to ABC? How likely is it to experience snowfall or see snow on the trail?
Is ABC suitable for a first-time Himalayan trekker in December?
What is the cheapest and most practical way to travel from Tamil Nadu to Nepal? Can I manage the journey mostly by train and bus?
Is my ₹15,000–₹20,000 budget realistic for the entire trip, including transport from Tamil Nadu, accommodation, food, permits and the trek?
Is it better to join a trekking agency or arrange everything independently with a guide?
Are there any budget-friendly trekking agencies in Pokhara that offer group-joining ABC treks?
What are the essential clothes and gear I should carry for December?
Would you recommend ABC or another Himalayan trek for a beginner looking for snow in December?
Any suggestions, personal experiences, itinerary ideas, or budget breakdowns would be really helpful.
Thanks in advance! 🙏

Is it even worth staying in Nepal after completing a bachelor's?
Bachelor sakiepachi Nepal mai kei garne ki abroad jane bhanne confusion cha. Nepal mai basera career banaune manche haru ko experience sunna man cha.
Do you feel there are enough opportunities for young people here, or are we just staying because we don't have other options yet?
Genuine opinions from people who have actually faced this decision would be helpful.
