I don't think a single one of these is bad, it's just a personal preference! My homie got me into Wilds and I haven't been the same since. So, I've been playing through some past games. I do think I've made a bit of an error getting into Iceborne a bit too late though (tried multiple times to really like it too) and it doesn't help that I don't care for slow-paced combat either. I can see why it's loved, respected, and important though! I wouldn't really call myself good, just really persistent! What about yall?

I haven't even played it yet. But from my experience with timi/tencent and its games, they pour egregious amount of money for the initial development since they can afford it, then near zero investment in maintaining or advertising the game.

This led to a lot of their games shutting down after a while. Including apex mobile, and pokemon unite. Pokemon unite is already a bad precedent. The most famous and profitable ip in the world and it's about to be EoS next year. Even codm, probably one of their most profitable games is an unoptimised, buggy, and full of slop mess.

They didn't even try to save those EoS games. Not even another advertisement drive or a massive update. They just keep on throwing games into the wall in hopes that one will stick.

I recently started Monster Hunter Freedom on and have to say, it is too mich of a time sink for me.

My question is, is freedom unite friendlier? Not that much grinding, monster bering nicer, like cephalos coming out of the ground to fight you, not 10 monsters at the same time attacking you and stuff like that?

Or should I not bother and just go to 4 Ultimate? Have played 3 already.

*These questions are about the Locals (environments) in Monster Hunter Wilds.

1. Can you tell me which local you find the most difficult or annoying?

2. Which local has the best color scheme and which ones don’t (Fallow, Inclemency, and Plenty included)?

3. What problem or issue do you have the most in locals?

4. If you played the Ascension DLC, what did the new local do that the old ones didn’t?

5. If possible, would you say the locals are fine as they are? Why or why not?

6. If you got the chance, what would you change about the locals?

7. In what way do the sub camp locations help you, and in what way do they not (try to think of at least two locals, if you can)?

8. What can be done to improve tracking monsters in the locals (sub camp placement, layout, faster seikret, etc.)?

Imagine my surprise when I go to turn off my phone for the night and I see 'MHOutlanders' staring me in the face. Guess I'm not sleeping after all.

Edit: So the only information I had about this game is the one trailer from the beginning, I was not aware it was a gatcha game but I am still going to try it out anyway because I like MH. Guess being offline and touching grass does pay off lol.

I'm trying to find a weapon that fits my playstyle. For refrence I have a hyper aggressive playstyle in games and I want to know what weapon/s fit that specific playstyle. To be specific I enjpy being up in the monsters face

Haven't played since launch so I forgot you're supposed to pull down the rocks to use as cover when Jin dahaad does it's nuke. Sure it mentions using the rocks in the fight but I was like "what rocks?"

Finde die Rüstung sieht aber ends cool aus und auf die Waffe. Sollte ich die Rüstung + langschwert Farmen? Oder macht das wenig Sinn für den weiteren Spielverlauf?

Can't block it using greatsword and 1 guard up. Every source I find says only 1 guard up is necessary. I get one shot immediately without ever blocking it if I try that. 1 guard up allows me to block it on lance, though. How much do I need for it to work on greatsword?

I’m like one of the few who has the great jagras as their favorite. Which sucks because it hasn’t returned ever. Granted it’s in the new mobile game but I don’t want include that, since it’s not really a console/PC game.

Anyone have any info on this? I just got the notification that the game was available and it auto downloaded onto my device but it won't get passed this screen.

EDIT [RESOLVED]: Apparently I was on my 5G network. The game won't initialize unless on my home WiFi. It's working fine now. I really hope that doesn't mean I can't play while out and about...

I was bored, so I made a tier list of the monsters; the ones at the top are my favorites, and the ones at the bottom are the ones I don’t like.

Some are placed where they are because of their fights (I hate fighting Khezu in MHRISE and love fight odogaron in MHWORLD or Goss Harag in MHRISE), or because of the affection I developed for them in MHstories 1 and 2 (oh, my beloved Rathian—I love you so much!).
