Welcome to the Daily Skol thread!

Use this thread for general discussion, quick questions, hot takes, and conversations that aren't strictly Vikings-related.

Standalone posts should be reserved for substantial, original discussions specifically related to the Vikings, such as breaking news, in-depth analysis, and meaningful discussion topics. General NFL news, recurring questions, and topics that don't warrant their own thread belong here instead.

As always, keep it civil and SKOL!

At this point I don’t know if our offense sucks because KOC actually can’t call plays for shit, if our QB can’t see the receivers, or something else.

But hey, we’re still 6-0. In Flores and Reichard we trust.

Most likely going to get beat by a team with a real offense in a devastating fashion in the first round of the playoffs. We are still Vikings fans after all.

Happy Tuesday.

Shitpost Yall need to stop acting like fantasy football owners. JT isn’t worth more than a 3rd, and the market knows that

RBs simply don’t have the value. It’s more than likely JT next year will decline sharply, RB lifespans are shorter than any other position. Not to mention no team has the money to pay dearly for a good RB. No GM makes a lot of room for them. Which we actually don’t have room for next year.

RB Jonathan Taylor - Front office prefers not to trade him despite deadline interest (Requires at least a 1st-round pick to reconsider)

Interested to see how the goalposts will be moved when this defense helps us go 4-0 during this stretch. 😤

Keep up the negativity, boys. It's working

Keep up the negativity, boys. It's working.

I just want to say you guys are doing a fantastic job keeping expectations low this year.

I know we're 6-0, but whatever you do, DO NOT GET EXCITED.

The second we start believing this team is actually good, we all know exactly what's going to happen. We've been through this too many times.

So keep calling us the worst 6-0 team in NFL history. Keep criticizing every win. Keep expecting the inevitable collapse.

Because if we can somehow maintain this level of pessimism all season, we might just go undefeated and win the Super Bowl.

Whatever you do, don't start believing. SKOL.

The vikings should not fire KOC under any circumstances.

He is 6-0 and on an 11 game win streak.

he has built a winning culture that wins on the margins.

Ownership has a long term vision that by all probable indications is working.

Discussion I don’t think we understand how good our defense is…

Through 7 weeks, we have the 4th least points scored and are 6-0. I mean, look at the other teams with similar point totals, nobody has more than 2 wins. The defense is legitimately carrying us and is one of the best that I have seen. ā€œDefense wins championshipsā€ they say, that’ll be put to the test with this team. Also, if we can win 2-3 of our next three and hold their offenses to the numbers we have been, maybe we can start to be viewed as a legitimate contender… we’ll see. SKOL

There isn't a single social media platform with Vikings fans that hasn't posted about Jonathan Taylor being on our team. I worry about the mental state of our fans if we don't get him. 😭

Discussion [Seifert] I believe the Vikings had some interest in Quenton Nelson, but ultimately he is going to Nolan Teasley's former team in Seattle.

[Schefter] Trade: Colts have agreed to send eight-time Pro-Bowl guard Quenton Nelson to the Seattle Seahawks, per me and @rapsheet. Nelson is on an expiring contract and the Colts are opting to get back draft capital now before they could lose him in free agency.

If k1 can’t improve before the deadline we should trade for Kirk Cousins. Our weapons are too good and special teams are too good our defense is too good to waste
