Our guild raids on Wednesdays and Sundays, and every week the same question came up in chat: who still needs W7, who is on what spec, who actually showed up. So we built it into TeamBase, a free desktop app for guilds.
Each member links their API key once. The key stays on their own PC and the guild only sees the results. If someone does not want to link anything, they or an officer can fill in their main character and spec by hand.
What the guild page shows for Guild Wars 2:
- Who is in game right now, on which character, spec and map, and who has a commander tag
- This week: wing by wing, who still needs a clear and how many of them are online, with a button that turns it into an event
- Raid rosters where each spec fills in from the game when the player logs in
- Attendance that records itself from who was on the raid map during the event, so nobody ticks boxes after the raid
- A member card with characters, builds, weekly clears, WvW rank and legendaries
- Officer tools for the in-game guild: treasury and upgrades, the guild log, and who is in [TAG] but not on the guild page yet
- An in-game overlay that shows who on the raid map still needs this week's wing
- WvW team checks before the relink, world boss reminders, strike events
For the people who lead the raids:
- Each player picks a role when signing up, so the roster shows tanks, healers and DPS before the raid starts
- The attendance timeline shows who came late, who left early and who stepped in from the bench
- arcdps logs upload after the raid, and the event history lists each encounter with kills, wipes and attempts
- Officers can keep notes on members, for example who is learning a new role
Coming next: boon roles. When signing up, a player will pick the boon they bring for their spec, such as quickness or alacrity, and the roster will show what is covered. After the raid, TeamBase will check the uploaded log and flag anyone who was down for a boon but did not provide it.
Every part can be switched off by the guild and by each player.
If your guild still keeps attendance in a spreadsheet, give it a try. Setting up a guild takes a few minutes and the rest of the members join through an invite link.
