I Cooked Chicken Shrimp Potstickers

Made some chicken and shrimp potstickers! 🥟 I love getting the bottoms nice and crispy while keeping the filling juicy and flavorful.

They're so good dipped in a little soy sauce and chili oil. I always end up eating more than I planned! 😄

I'll leave the recipe in the comment.

Do you prefer your dumplings pan-fried or steamed?

I Cooked Around noon, I made dumplings, twenty in total, with pork and scallion filling. They tasted good, and I ate them all in one go.

A funny trend I've noticed is some of my favorite Chinese food/ American Chinese food places always have the yellow faded food examples. Has anyone else noticed this before? Shout-out to Golden-China in SC

Made the char siu yesterday, and today I turned it into steamed bun filling! Sautéed some shallots and garlic, added a little mushroom, then tossed in the chopped char siu. Can’t wait to stuff my steamed buns with this!

I Ate Crispy fish-fragrant eggplant is evil 😭

Look at this thing 😭 My favorite vegetable dish, but the calories are insane

Crispy eggplant coated in that sweet, tangy, garlicky Sichuan sauce is probably my favorite vegetable dish ever. The outside is crispy, the inside is soft, and that sauce with a bowl of rice is just 🤌

The problem is that it's deep-fried eggplant, so it's basically a sponge for oil lol.

I had this along with some yuxiang shredded pork and eight-treasure tofu, and tried logging the meal in my calorie tracker. Here's what it came up with when I took a picture of the eggplant.

I love those food, but those dishes are somehow the biggest calorie traps 💀

Nothing fancy, boiled and eaten. Very rich innards and something as an American I was fairly unfamiliar with. Not sure where they specifically came from but eaten in Fuzhou.

Questions Does anyone know this brand? Is it good? Is it legit mooncake?

Basically, I found this mooncake on the Chinese store and I bought it because I have always wanted to try one. The inside is nice and mildly sweet. The outside was not crispy, assuming it’s bcs of oil or the moisture from the filling. My questions are basically at the title.
