I’m trying to drop a class that is putting too much stress on me and not sure if dropping this class and ending up having 8 units (which is not full time anymore) this quarter will reduce my financial aid for winter and spring quarter

I emailed financial aid office and haven’t received a response, if anyone has experience in this please let me know, thanks

I keep seeing these around campus and the village and looks like this band Foliage are throwing a big concert at the RMA on Friday, anyone else going? I love indie music and Foliage have some really good songs

i’m a gay guy and i can’t get into any parties. i’m not overly fem but it’s obvious if you hear my voice. i don’t make it my personality and i have better style than most straight men. i bring hella girls and still can’t get into one like im not even there to take your girls i fuckking wingman so much. it’s so hard cause i basically got a mindset of a party girl but with a penis. like i’m alrdy gay so im nerfed asf but now i can’t even get into parties what the fuck

I'm a first year at UCR, so this is my first time living away from home. I live in Dundee (which is supposedly the best dorm). I tend to be a very neat person, to the extent that I vacuum + scrub every surface with soap & water at the end of the week. However, the residence halls are HORRENDOUS. The bathrooms are filthy as hell, people literally shaving and leaving their hair across the sink, leaving open food waste outside of the garbage, etc. When I tried to dispose of trash last week, the trash chutes were working perfectly fine, but there were many people dumping their trash into a pile instead of into the chute and it smelled really really bad. This is just one of the many problems, I could go on and on about how bad the living conditions are. Why are people so filthy? Do people not know basic manners?

hey guys I’m asking for advice on how to email a professor about a letter a rec? Like how should I write it? The professor that I want to ask, is currently on sabbatical & I feel so awkward asking through email. Any tips?

EDIT: it’s for my grad apps!

Hey guys, I had a question about how R’Web registration works and also how some Media and Cultural Studies classes work.

I’m trying to create a term plan and two classes I need have a very small overlap. One of them is an online screening section for an MCS class. Is the screening actually like a Zoom call where everyone watches the movie together or is it just a placeholder where you can just watch the movie any time during the week?

Also, will R’Web completely prevent me from enrolling in classes because of the slight overlap? It would suck if that’s the case so I want to be prepared. There aren’t other screening sections for the class with screenings.

What are my options here? Any help is appreciated. Thank you.

Hey everyone! I’m a current sophomore majoring in bio (premed) and I’m just looking for friends tbh. I like watching tv shows/movies and playing video games like Valorant, Roblox, and etc. I’d prefer if we kind of got to know each other before any meetups but that can all be figured out later. I’m ngl I’ve kinda struggled making friends, especially in college 😭 so if anyone’s interested feel free to send me a dm! Thanks

has anyone taken PSYC 001 with Ditta or PSYC 002 with Nina Rasodic? any recommendations for which one choose or insight into the workload?

How is it? i’m in an ultimatum in choosing between UCR or cpp for designated choice of schooling for either EE or comp sci. i’m a comp sci transfer from CSUSB and looking to either stay in comp sci or switching over to EE but can’t decide on the school. i know UCR is a research institute and cpp is more of a hands on type of institution but im not really sure what that means for EE and comp sci?

i accidentally left the discord server for nd2 if someone can drop the link pls..

If you found it pls let me know or if you find it pls let me know!! Dropped today around 4:30-5pm

I am a second year Data Science major and I was planning on doing either a minor or major in Biology. I wanted to talk to the CNAS drop in advisor but i’m having trouble signing up for a time slot, since my BCOE advisor said to do drop in advising for CNAS. Hola!
