Seeking Success Looking for some positive IVF with PCOS success stories! šŸ’•

• Upvotes

Hi everyone! šŸ’— I’m looking for some positive stories from anyone who has PCOS and has been through IVF, particularly those who have had success with a frozen embryo transfer (FET).

A little bit about my journey:
✨ I have PCOS and insulin resistance.
✨ I also have type 1 diabetes.
✨ My partner and I had our egg retrieval earlier this year. We collected 30 eggs, 27 were mature, 10 fertilised, and we ended up with four day-5/6 4BB blastocysts.
✨ I’m currently on Buserelin for down-regulation before a fully medicated FET, hopefully in November.
I’m trying to stay positive, but after everything that comes with PCOS and IVF, I think I could really do with hearing some hopeful stories. šŸ„¹šŸ’—

I’d especially love to hear from anyone who:

šŸ’• Has PCOS
šŸ’• Has type 1 diabetes or insulin resistance.
šŸ’• Has had success with a 4BB embryo.
šŸ’• Has had success with their first FET.
šŸ’• Has undergone down-regulation before a frozen transfer.

I know everyone’s journey is different, and I’m not expecting any guarantees. I’d just love to hear your experiences and give myself a little hope going into our first transfer. šŸ¤žšŸ¼āœØ

Thank you so much to anyone who takes the time to share. Sending lots of love and baby dust to everyone going through this journey! šŸŒˆšŸ’—

Advice Needed Does anyone have any tips for 100% anovulatory pcos? I don't think I've ever ovulated in my life without meds

Hi! I'm sure this has been asked before but I'm looking for advice for my situation. We are doing medicated cycles and are taking a break for a few months if this cycle is unsuccessful and looking for advice for what to do while we take a break. I'd give anything to be able to try naturally while we take our break from treatments. At this point, I've just about given up on being able to have a cycle at all but wanted to just try one last time to see if anyone has advice!

I've been TTC for almost a year and got diagnosed with pcos this year but have had symptoms & problems for 15 years. I'm currently on my 3rd medicated cycle, which has been successful with making me ovulate but no success with pregnancy yet. Without meds, it's like I don't have a functioning reproductive system at all. I have an extremely high AMH of 28 ng/ml. Ovaries blocked with follicles. I don't have periods, ever. I don't ovulate, ever. I didn't appear to ovulate in my life until my medicated cycles this year.

I'm currently taking inositol 4000mg daily. I was on it for about 5 months without any luck regarding my periods or ovulation. I know they say give it 6 months but I began medicated cycles at 6 months, so idk if it worked. And then all of my metabolic markers are normal. My hormonal bloodwork is normal outside of my AMH and my LH is 1.8x higher than my FSH. I strength train and eat as well as I can. So I guess I'm just not really sure what else to do. Nothing I seem to do makes any difference.

TIA!

Advice Needed Clomid, no ovulation yet and a cyst on my scan — what usually happens next?

I’m looking for experiences from anyone who has been in a similar situation while taking Clomid.
I don’t get periods or ovulate on my own, so I’m doing a round of Clomid under the care of a fertility specialist.
I had a scan after my first round of Clomid, but unfortunately, it looks like I haven’t ovulated yet. My scan showed a larger follicle (around 21–23 mm) on one ovary, which my specialist has referred to as a cyst.
My specialist has asked me to go back for another scan in a week to see what’s happening, and we’ll work out the next steps from there. We’ve also discussed potentially increasing my Clomid dose.
I’m just wondering what generally happens in this situation.
Can a cyst like this resolve on its own, or can it persist into the next cycle?
If you haven’t ovulated after a round of Clomid, have you gone on to ovulate later, or has your specialist needed to change your dose or treatment plan?
If you don’t get periods naturally, how do you usually manage the transition into another treatment cycle if a cyst is still there?
Has anyone had a slow response to Clomid and eventually ovulated successfully?
I know everyone is different and I’ll be following my specialist’s advice. I’m just trying to get a general idea of what the possible next steps might look like and hear from others who have been through something similar.
Thanks! ā¤ļø

Ovulation, LH strips and letrozole

Im currently on first round of letrozole from cd3 - cd7.

I had an ultrasound scan on cd 9 that confirmed one folicle of 28mm size. At the moment im on cd 10 and LH test are completely negative (and were negative 2 days ago). My doctor told me that ovulation is approaching and that on letrozole it usually happens on cd 12 or cd 13. Im having another ultrasound scan on tuesday to confirm ovulation. Anyways, Im now confused because of negative tests.

I also know that 28mm is kind of a large size for F on cd9, but I hope it still works out.

Has anyone had similar situation? How did it turn out?

Seeking Success Letrozole success stories please

As the title says: please comment your successes with Letrozole!

28F with lean PCOS TTC for 6 months. Did a paid referral to a fertility clinic and now have NHS funded treatment. Waiting for my Provera and Letrozole prescription to come through. My first cycle will be monitored with timed intercourse (husband semen analysis was normal - just slightly high viscosity).

I've gone down a rabbit hole of looking at success rates and spiralled into thinking there's a massive chance it doesn't work and after 6 cycles I'm going to be put on an IVF waiting list.

I take 4000mg inositol (in the correct ratio) alongside fish oil, magnesium glycinate and prenatal supplements. Also doing carb pairing, 8k steps daily and post-meal walks. This foundation hasn't helped me ovulate regularly but hoping it will help letrozole success

Advice Needed Am I Ovulating? Low Progesterone but Rising Oura Temperatures

I’m 33F with PCOS and currently TTC. My last two cycles have been regular (29 days).
I’m currently on CD22. I had my progesterone tested on CD21, and it came back at just **1.3 nmol/L**, which seems very low for the luteal phase.
However, my Oura temperatures have been rising for the past two days (+0.1°C and +0.2°C), and today Oura flagged ā€œMajor Signs of Strainā€ despite me feeling completely normal.
I’m confused about whether I’ve already ovulated, might be ovulating late, or haven’t ovulated at all.
**Has anyone experienced low progesterone around CD21 but confirmed ovulation later? Can temperatures rise even if ovulation hasn’t happened?**
Would really appreciate hearing your experiences, especially from anyone with PCOS!

Advice Needed Two month wait for RE appointment, glp1?

Hi everyone, first I want to say how grateful I am to have found this community, it’s given me so much reassurance and comfort over the past few months.

My situation: 33 years old, married, ttc and newly diagnosed with pcos in July. Obgyn said it’s probably been masked by BC for years. My AMH over is 16, A1c is 5.3, horrible cystic acne, unexplained weight gain, fatigue, the works.

Last month we did our first round of letrozole 2.5 with timed intercourse (unsuccessful) and my dr recommended we go straight to RE because of low motility results (3%) in husbands SA.

My questions: I’ve been taking inositol, working with a nutritionist and incorporating more strength training since July and have not lost any weight or seen any improvements in my cycle or ovulation. Is it worth going on a glp1 for a couple of months while I wait for my RE appointment in mid-December? Any other recommendations? The uncertainty is so hard to manage.

LH CONFUSION

Using 5mg letrozole day 2-6, I had a scan on day 13 I had 2 mature follicles and told ovulation was imminent.

Day 14 in the evening my LH test was positive I took that as my surge, day 15 really strong ovulation pain, EWCM and BD both those days.

The problem is my LH tests seem to always linger around 0.7 even after my peak and yesterday day 17 I got another positive test, I’m 95% sure I DID ovulate on day 15 but now I feel like I’m unsure and should be trying again incase I miss it. However I’m taking progesterone suppositories and also feel so tired in general from the whole process.

Any advice on if I keep trying or trust the first surge?

Also I am not tracking BBT - I should but I forget more often than not and need to buy a new thermometer

How did mounjaro affect your periods?

I normally have a 35-40 day cycle but recently had a 29 day cycle for the first time.

Just diagnosed and starting TTC, where do you even begin with tracking?

got my pcos diagnosis two months ago and we officially started trying this cycle. i've been reading this sub nonstop and i'm kind of drowning. some people temp, some use three kinds of strips, some are doing bloodwork every week and i don't even know what half the acronyms mean yet

my cycles are anywhere from 38 to 80 days, last one was 74, so period app predictions are basically useless. my husband also wants to actually be part of it instead of me just texting him "tonight" every few days

if you were starting over, what would you track first and what would you skip?

r/TTC_PCOS • • 21h ago

Discussion Has anyone on this sub had daily bleeding for a prolonged period of time? What helped you?

I can't help but feel like im in a unique situation because I've never came across someone else with a similar story to mine.

September 2024 I got my mirena coil removed. By December I got my first period and it was... an experience. Lets just say if we were bleeding from anywhere else in our bodies like that, we would be in ED.

By approx April 2025 I had went from the occasional spotting that gradually increased to spotting/bleeding everyday. Some days were like a period while other days were minimal spotting when wiping.

September 2025 I seen a doctor who said this was due to my pcos. I asked for a second opinion. In October 2025 I was told i would need a hysteroscopy and in February 2026 I was told they found a benign poylp which they removed but ruled out hyperplasia. I raised my concerns regarding endo and was told due to my bmi they would not do a lapraoscopy but they would do a abdo/pelvic mri which ruled out endometriosis. In march 2026 I started oral provera 10mg everyday for initially 3 months. By the end of the 3 months I had only just stopped spotting by 2 days so I was told to stay on it for another 3 months. I finished that at the end of September and have since had a couple of episodes of spotting lasting a few days and my first period. I am back to tracking ovulation and I think yesterday for the first time ever it shows a rise in LH. I know these tests can be unreliable for women with pcos so im also tracking bbt (no pattern/spike noticed) and cervical mucus (the provera caused a lot of dryness but while i havent got the egg white consistency yet i think things are starting to make progress there too).

Im currently trying to lose weight for fertility treatment also. My bmi has went from 42.6 to 30.9.

Has anyone had any similar experience? My doctors were hopeful if I lost weight id be able to conceive naturally. Has anyone been able to conceive naturally after weight loss? Ill be honest, my docs focused so much on losing weight they've almost convinced me that it will 100% happen if I lose more weight (although i know that may not happen)

Vent Why do I torture myself!

Had an IUI so now I’m in the waiting game…
However I decided to torture myself and take a test 5-6 days before my expected period (9 days after IUI). It was negative, but it could definitely have been too early to test.

Idk why I did it. I went into it thinking fuck it, don’t be disappointed if it’s negative, but maybe it’ll be positive. Of course I was disappointed when it was negative.

Advice Needed TTC journey — looking for advice and others who can relate ā¤ļø

Hi everyone! I’m 24 and my fiancĆ© and I have been trying to conceive for about 5–6 months. I’ve always struggled with irregular periods, although they were more consistent for a few years before becoming irregular again.
My last period was April 16–20, and I haven’t had any bleeding since. It’s now been almost 6 months without a period, and I’m getting frustrated and worried because having regular cycles and the chance to get pregnant is really important to me.
I’ve been tracking ovulation with LH strips and have had some tests get darker, so I thought I might have caught a surge in August, but I never confirmed ovulation. I’ve also taken multiple pregnancy tests, but they’ve been negative.
I had bloodwork done with my OB/GYN. My TSH was 3.87, FSH was 6.1, and my 17-OH progesterone was 52. I was told my labs looked good overall, although I’m still trying to understand what everything means. I haven’t been able to get the recommended ultrasound yet because of the cost.
I don’t have a PCOS diagnosis, and a previous ovarian ultrasound didn’t raise any concerns that I was told about. I’ve wondered whether stress could be contributing to my irregular cycles, but I don’t know for sure.
I’ve been taking a prenatal, CoQ10, and myo-inositol at different points in this journey, but I haven’t been consistent with them lately.
I’m mainly looking for advice from anyone who has experienced long gaps without a period while TTC, especially if you eventually figured out what was causing it or were able to get your cycles back. What testing or questions should I bring up with my OB/GYN? Has anyone experienced something similar?
I know everyone’s journey is different, but it would be nice to hear from people who understand how frustrating this can be. ā¤ļø

Advice Needed What to do if ovulating regularly but not getting pregnant?!

I’m 29f and my husband 26m have been ttc for 1.5 years. Through my oura ring and Mira I’ve been able to confirm ovulation pretty much every month but one anovulatory cycle. My cycle is typically 30-32 days with ovulation around CD19. My longest cycle this past year has been 36 days and my shortest 29 days when I did strictly carnivore.

I have an ultrasound schedule for next week as I was given an official pmos diagnosis last year for painful periods (which I still have), slightly high prolactin 27.4 ng/mL, and struggle to lose weight (5’8ā€ & 178lbs). My TSH was 2.29 (but hasn’t been checked in a year).

We did an at home sperm analysis and my husband’s result were in a normal range although on the lower side.

After my ultrasound I’m going to get my labs done with Function. I’m considering metformin and other medications but it seems most women are trying to induce ovulation whereas I ovulate regularly but it is a bit delayed. Could I still benefit from medications? Anyone who is similar to me had success and what did you do?

Seeking Success 2 dominant follicles and a positive OPK

24 yo Fem with PCOS. After THREE years of trying and taking countless of supplements and medications, I finally have two dominant follicles and a positive OPK after taking 7.5 mg Letrozole and Estradiol.

I’m wondering if anyone has a similar story to mine? How many cycles did it take you to get pregnant? Send your words of encouragement and all the baby dust!

Advice Needed Naturopath appointment

Hi, I have my first naturopath appointment tomorrow. For background I’m 31 with lean PCOS and have been TTC for 10 months but because of my irregular cycles have only been able to TTC about 5 times. Im on my second letrozole cycle this time 7.5mg, last cycle was on 2.5 mg and never ovulated :(

I’m really trying to figure out my root cause, which I think is likely stress, inflammation, high androgen driven because of some facial hair. If you were me, heading into this appointment, what labs would you advocate for getting tested? Open to any advice on what to ask for during this appointment? Thanks!

Abnormal HSG

I had my HSG today and my fallopian tubes looked good and open but they said there was a dull spot on my lower uterus/top of cervix that was abnormal. They said this could represent a fibroid/polyp/adhesion. I’m wondering if anyone had this and if you had any issues conceiving or maintaining a pregnancy?

Naturally ovulating

I just had my first medicated cycle and it failed. I am totally bummed about it, but I am one day closer to my success. I was about to ovulate on letrozole. However due to financial reason I can’t do my second round until December. I am currently on my period and wondering if I could ovulate naturally on my own.

Has anyone ever experienced this before? Had a failed cycle then naturally ovulated?

Advice Needed Variation in AFC - what’s considered normal?

In July I had a total AFC of 34 (20, 14) leading to my PCOS diagnosis. Since then my total AFC at baseline scan has been slowly declining or varying:
July: 34
August:25
September: 27
October: 17
(None of these times have I had as high as 20 on one ovary)
My AMH in June was 15.8pmol (2.2 ng)

Is this kind of variation common with PCOS? Could this be a sign or declining reserve? Is this normal body variation? If I end up doing IVF I’m worried it’s on a steady decline

Seeking Success 1st round of clomid

Today my doc prescribed me Clomid. It’s my first round. We’ve been TTC for over 2 years and just taking metformin and track ovulation with LH strips(never had a positive strip) Anyone had success their first cycle? We’re trying 3 rounds of clomid before being referred out to a specialist. At that point we will stop. My cycles are irregular still ranging from 27-60 days. But she’s hopeful about it. Just want it to work finally

Doctor Questions - help me prepare?

Hi! 29F, first time TTC. I’ve been dx with PMOS for ~10 years now. I’ve been off BC since Feb 2026, and off GLP-1 since May 2026, TTC since May with no luck. Cycles were regular this year until this most recent month where I’m 40 days and counting with no period. I’m heading to the OBGYN in a few weeks to see about kickstarting some testing to get answers. I know I’m not at the 1 year TTC mark that they typically wait for, but I’ve talked with my PCP who is highly familiar with PMOS, she recommended chatting with my OBGYN.

If you’ve had similar experiences to me, what questions would you ask, and what sorts of solutions would you ask about? I’m really down to try anything, I just don’t want to be waiting and waiting with no answers, especially knowing I’m predisposed to having a little more difficulty due to my dx. TYIA! <3
