Will the gift appear in my Hangar before sending the gift?
No. The gift is emailed to the recipient after the transaction is completed and is added to the recipient's hangar when they claim it.
Do I have to give the gift right away or can I wait to send it to the recipient?
Gifts are sent automatically once the transaction is complete and cannot be scheduled for a later date.
This single change means that there is no way to "hold" gifts to send at a later date, and thus, once the dwindling supply of "grandfathered in" giftable items are exhausted, the gray market effectively ceases to exist, as there is no point to buying through a third party if the gift occurs immediately upon sale.
At that point, the gray market will effectively transition to a black market consisting only of account sales, which are against the EULA/TOS.
EDIT: Also, unless I'm misunderstanding somehow, this answer also means that one would not simply be able to email themselves the gift code and then keep that emailed code indefinitely, eventually sending it onwards to a buyer.
How does the 30-day refund period work for a pledge designated as a gift?
If the gift isn't claimed after 30 days, the buyer is refunded automatically and notified by email.

Hey everyone,
Over the last few months I kept seeing the same questions in game/discord chat: "where can I find X?", "where can I loot Y?". There was no real resource for that, so I started digging through the game files.
I managed to make a script that would give me info on where what spawns, but it was very crude, and pretty much unreadable except for me. At the same time I wanted to change what armor/clothes I wear (suit lockers were still set planned 4.10 by then), so I wanted a 3D viewer to try out all the armors of the game without having to actually find them first.
And this is the result:
Loot Verse (https://loot-verse.com): Search an item/weapon/component and see every place it can spawn, how many spawn spots there are, your odds per crate, respawn timers, which NPCs and NPC ships carry it, and where it's sold (prices are pulled from UEX). Updated every patch.

Style Citizen (https://style-citizen.com): A 3D outfit viewer. Try armor, clothes and weapons, find what fits your fashion or gameplay style, see the stats (weight, temperature, damage reduction), then send the list of items to Loot Verse to see where you can find each piece.

Everything comes from the game files of each patch, to the best of my understanding of how the game works, so some things can be off. If you notice something wrong, please send feedback via the dedicated sections on both sites.
If there's an item you've been hunting for ages, try it and tell me if the site found it.
Thanks a lot to Eldritch / PIPELINE / FORGE discord members and friends for helping with testing and giving ideas.
I used AI to help me make these sites: I did the datamining and coded most of the logic, AI helped me make the sites not look horrible.

All of this gold is from the HH mission goods for the getting which spawns a freelancer full of gold only. I would park the freelancer into the idris then QT to deadspace to then transfer the cargo to the grids rights next to it.
1286 SCU’s sold for about 40M

Hey y'all
Since the recent announcement about Updates to Pledge Gifting and Game Access, we’ve received a number of questions from the community. Much like in our previous Updates to Game Access - FAQ, we’ve gathered some of your most common questions below and clarified the details where needed.
The updates to gifting will take effect on October 30.
Only items where the "Buying as a gift?" option appears at checkout.
When an item is gifted, the recipient will receive an email with a redemption code. They can select the redemption link (the code is filled in) or go to the Redemption Page and enter the code to claim their gift.
Yes. They’ll need an RSI account with a confirmed email address to claim the gift. An account can be created after receiving the gift email, before claiming the gift.
No. You must be signed in to gift or claim an item.
No. Store credit can't be used on a gift order.
No. The gift is emailed to the recipient after the transaction is completed and is added to the recipient's hangar when they claim it.
The badges and perks go to the recipient who claims the gift. Referral credit for the purchase stays with the buyer.
If the gift isn't claimed after 30 days, the buyer is refunded automatically and notified by email.
Existing hangar gifts and gift codes are grandfathered in and will continue working just as they do today, with the same Redemption Page available to redeem them.
Gifts are sent automatically once the transaction is complete and cannot be scheduled for a later date.

How many patterns of the exact same two stars do you see repeated at various opacities, orientations, or configurations here?
The *entire* skybox is like this is *all three systems*.
When folks rail against the skybox, it is for a reason. It is, single-handedly, the worst art asset of any space game I've ever encountered.
X-wing had a more believable and immersive skybox than this.
Can we *please* have the old sky box back. Tint it a color if you have too. This is absolutely ruining all the good work the planet team is doing in making the game look good.

Thank god they're fixing it. I just did the orison platform mission. I died so much on the boss fights not because of how hard it is. But I keep getting desync shots behind the wall. I would run the another cover bcs they would push me and then i would get damaged even if they shoot me after i get into a cover. Sadly the boss stop spawning and that ended my run and thats 4 hours of my life gone without any rewards and that really puts me off if this game. Hopefully they actually fix it and not a false promise like the other one so I can come back one day again.
Just a quick frustrating rant.

While larger does grant more capabilities: hp, weapons, cargo space, you do lose out on the thrill of flying in this beautiful game. Lumbering giants may be loved, but they are not for everyone.
Should smaller ships have their own progression? An IRL example would be starting with a humble Cessna, working your way up to an F15, and dreaming of an F22. An F22 IRL costs as much as a 100meter yacht, a lot of people may prefer the latter but some would choose the former. Imagine a Gladius costing as much as a 600i. They would not only be endgame for the size segment, but because of their much higher costs, be less economical to use for grinding.
Of course, larger ships would have their own progression as well. Being larger, the bottom cost more and the top will be stratospheric.
What do you guys think? Should ship size be the main progression, or would this be better? Penny for your thoughts.

In honor of Day of the Vara and the upcoming Halloween🎃, here’s my collection of horrors from the past few years. And there’s more to come — the next post will be even creepier. Yes, that’s possible.

I am incredibly interested in Star Citizen's Centaur ship, but since my friends avoid the game due to its price, I will likely be playing solo. I had previously given up on large vessels knowing they are completely inefficient without a minimum crew, but the Centaur strongly tempts me to buy the game and the ship with real cash right now. However, given the seemingly unstable and struggling development—despite some visible improvements—I am wondering if now is a safe time to buy and whether the game actually has a realistic chance of a full official release.

I have the VIP High Admiral reward containing SQ42 and SC in my hangar, with SQ42 and SC locked to that item. Does that mean I could melt my game package containing the SC digital download and the C2, and maintain my access to SC? I also have a SQ42 standalone pledge that I would melt as well if this is a possibility. I read the FAQs about this new game access system but was a little confused about whether this was possible.

Long time SC player here. I play with my friend casually and don't really grind for things. Recently we have discovered the NDB-30 guns. I put them on the top Centaurus turret along with a pair of M7A and a pair of Deadbolt Vs. That ship is so fun to operate. (I know they will nerf it, they have to). My friend flies an Asgard. What a brilliant all around ship. Anyway he wanted to get some NDB-30s for his ship so we loaded up a few Gilly 5 missions. The first solo freelancer we came across had the guns we wanted to I took out his shields and my friend use his distortion cannons to disable the freelancer. But then we realized the problem. This was only wave 1. Once we boarded the ship and killed the pilot it would then send the next wave. So what we did was he put his Asgard right next to the top turret and waited looking out of the cargo bay. I then boarded the ship, killed the pilot and immediately unlocked the ports. While he started pulling the guns off, I scrambled back through the freelancer and spacewalked back to my Centaurus. As I was in the airlock I could hear shots hitting my shields. I raced to my pilot seat as my friend finished pulling both NDB-30 guns into his ship and we then took on and defeated the second wave. Quite exciting and fun!
Yes this game has glitches but if you have someone to play with you can find great moments.

Hey everyone!
I've been backing Star Citizen since 2016, and I've actually been following its development since the earliest crowdfunding days. It's been quite the journey, to say the least.
Over the years, I've had some of my most memorable gaming experiences in the verse. I've met some genuinely incredible people, along with some of the most bizarre and hilarious characters imaginable. A few years ago, I invested in a dual Gladiator joystick setup, and it completely transformed the experience for me. There's honestly nothing quite like flying through space with a proper HOTAS/HOSAS setup.
That being said, I haven't really played since Pyro was released.
I still follow the development, browse this subreddit, and occasionally check out what's happening in the community. But I keep seeing such a mixed reception. Some people seem genuinely excited about the progress, while others sound more frustrated and exhausted than ever.
And that brings me to why I'm posting.
How are you genuinely feeling about the current state of Star Citizen?
With Squadron 42 potentially arriving in early 2027, I'm cautiously optimistic about what that could mean for Star Citizen's future. Part of me really hopes we're finally approaching a point where the pieces start coming together.
Most of my old crew have moved on for now, deciding to wait until the game is closer to release. And while I completely understand that decision, I keep getting this persistent itch to jump back into the cockpit.
The biggest obstacle for me has always been playing solo. Star Citizen, at least in my experience, truly shines when you're sharing adventures with other people. The spontaneous encounters, the ridiculous situations, the unexpected friendships. That's what made me fall in love with the game in the first place.
So I'm curious to hear from those of you who are still actively playing, especially fellow longtime backers.
Does the game feel like it's moving in the right direction? Is there enough meaningful content to keep you engaged? And perhaps most importantly, are you still having fun?
I'm not looking to start another argument between passionate supporters and frustrated skeptics. I think both perspectives are completely valid, and I'd genuinely love to hear from both sides.
At the end of the day, I still believe in the vision of Star Citizen. I just miss the feeling of being part of that universe.
See you in the verse, o7
