Baby Floof Meet Mortimer, Little Prince
On an impulse decision after a week of no sleep, I found this lil guy on kijiji. I had done zero research and had no idea he should have been a lot more money.
I’m guessing they were bad breeders but I went to “meet” him and took him home within 5 minutes. He was only 8.5 weeks old! I didn’t realize how much I was getting myself into at this age. He needs constant supervision and had a bout of diarrhea from the food change for a few days so I had to SPRINT to my bathroom to run a little sink bath every time he went to the litter box in case he was going #2… because he needed a bum and paws bath each time.
One week later, and I have no regrets. Even though he’s needed some help, he’s so good with the litter box and is the sweetest boy who follows me everywhere. I’m worried about leaving him alone but I’m going to start working up to it next week with 5, 15, 30, 45 and then 60 minutes in the bathroom each day with an interactive food toy so that I can at least leave him to go to the gym! Luckily I work from home. I’m worried about separation anxiety because he should have been with his mom and litter mates a few more weeks.
Any advice welcome, but overall very excited to be a part of the ragdoll community, I’m already absolutely in love with him.

General Advice At my wit’s end with kitten diarrhoea
I got my kitten 8 weeks ago. From day 1 she has had the worst diarrhoea I’ve ever seen. Maybe going 40-50 times a day passing tiny amounts.
She’s had 5 days of Panacur. An anti-inflammatory injection, an anti-nausea injection. A course of antibiotics which did improve it a lot. She’s on prescription gastrointestinal food. Adding Fortiflora in. I got her pro-kolin but she hates it and it’s a whole drama to give it to her.
I took a 3 day faecal sample in to the vet 8 days ago but no results yet.
I’m praying they find some parasite and a course of medicine will get rid of it. If it’s all clear then other possible causes are scary.
I just wanted somewhere to vent. And maybe some miracle that’s helped someone else’s kitten.
She’s worth it and I love her. She’s fitted in to my home so perfectly ❤️

General Advice How to make my cat get used to being held?
I adopted my princess some months ago and till today we got a nice connection, but one thing she hates is being held. She loves getting near to my arms, sleeps with me, sits between arms when I play on pc and stuff but tries to escape immediately if I hold her, she’s so affectionate and loves getting petting but I am not sure how to approach her to make her get used to being snuggly snuggly with me? I know some cats hate it and never do it but as I know she used to do it with her previous owners. 😸

General Advice Evenings walks
We take our two cats out for walks, partly out of guilt, because we believe they're happier getting outside and discovering the world. Both go out without a leash: one follows the other, and the one with the red light follows my whistle. Do you think these walks really make them happy, or is giving them love and playing with them enough?
Sometimes after work, the routine of going out is really demanding, and sometimes it's raining. But these two little guys always get sad and protest in front of the door to let us know it's time for a walk. Do you think they'll be upset with us on the days we don't go out?
P.S. The lights are because when we're out, they don't want me too close, but I want to see where they are when it's dark.

Happy Floof Newly adopted floof
I just adopted this precious girl, Princess Waffles, last week and I am obsessed with her 🥹. She's my first cat as an adult and first ever ragdoll and I can't get over how adorable and sweet she is. Anyone considering adopting an adult ragdoll, do it!!!
I'm wondering what toys your ragdolls love? She is obsessed with the wand toy, but I'd like to find other things for her to play with when I'm busy with work. I have springs for her which so far she isn't interested in, and one of those flopping fish but she's scared of it when it moves lol

General Advice Second ragdoll?
Please help me decide if I should get a second ragdoll! I got my Ragdoll a little over a month ago and I am absolutely in love. He is so sweet kind cuddly playful curious (and adorable), everything you would hope. I think I always expected to get a second but not this soon. My breather told me that she’s going to have another litter in about two weeks and I can get one if I like. I absolutely love my breeder and she retires and one to two years. My Ragdoll is home alone probably 2 to 3 days of the week. I have a camera and will sometimes notice him meowing at the door but seems like he spends a lot of the day playing and sleeping. He seems happy to me but I am sure him having a friend would help those days alone. I think my thing it really feels like me and my partner have a really sweet family us three with her kitty. I keep on reading online that it’s good to get a second one when you’re first still young. I guess I just worry that we have such a strong bond forming with her first one and getting another get in the way with that. Would appreciate all thoughts!! Thank you!!

General Advice Would I be setting myself up for heartbreak adopting an 11 year old ragdoll?
It’s my dream to have my own cat. I had cats growing up but haven’t had one as an adult.
I’ve been looking into adopting a ragdoll and I’ve seen a lovely 11 year old ragdoll looking for a home. Part of me loves the idea of giving a home to an older cat, but another part of me is scared that she may not live very long and I will be heart broken. She doesn’t look old and doesn’t have any health issues that I’m aware of. However when my previous cats passed away from old age it was devastating.
Does anyone have any advice?

Baby Floof Got a ragdoll last weekend. He's 11 weeks old!
We picked him up last weekend and our whole family is in love. My 4 year old is like a little mommy with him and he follows my wife around the house. Even he and my dog are getting along famously. He's already like no cat I've ever had and I've had many good cats over the years.
Say hello to Baron von Bonbon!
