Just want to report a very common and outdated scam on dating apps but still many would lose their hard-earned money hence giving a heads up. This is happening on 3Fun, Bumble, Tinder and you name it. So will get a match and the girl would initiate the conversation. Mostly these girls will tell you that they are here staying with their Didi, Bhai, Grand parents mostly located in kalyani Nagar, kopa, viman Nagar. They ask you to meet near KP pub street for dining and drinks ( I did not fall prey to this yet but since a lot may fall hence just letting you know) . They immediately ask for what's app, if u share the dp will random girl showing her back 😂. Then you meet them and the girl will be the same with whom you matched but they will take you to particular restaurant and start ordering expensive drinks. Once the bill is around 50k you will panic and then may ask for discount, there will be a bouncer around threatening you and then you land up paying discounted amount around 25k. Girl will say Tata bye bye Dadi bohot chillayegi late Hui to. And you be like “Muje Kyun to da” . So be safe here are the SS

Thousands of people live in a radius of 100m from this bullshit and this has been going on since last 4-5 weeks.

Usually they start this jackhammer around 9AM and keep at it till 6PM. 6 days a week.

I'm fortunate enough that I don't have to bear this for 5 of the days. But the weekends are such that I need to use ANC with white noise background just to exist.

Had a pretty annoying experience at Pune Airport’s Aeromall pickup point today.

Booked an Uber Premier Sedan, got a driver assigned, and almost immediately received a call from him saying:
- Parking charges would be extra, over and above the Uber fare.
- He’d charge by the meter, not the fare shown on Uber.

Like, what the actual fuck? What’s the point of booking through Uber then?

I immediately walked over to the Uber stall at Aeromall and asked the guy there about this. He confirmed that parking charges are already included in the Uber fare and there’s absolutely no reason for drivers to demand meter-based fares.

He also showed me how to report such drivers directly through the Uber app. Apparently, you can report this behaviour for previous rides too, which is good to know.

Coming back to my driver, he asked ME to cancel the ride. I refused and told him to cancel it himself. He wouldn’t do it either, so we had a little standoff. Eventually, he cancelled it himself.

Now, a few questions for fellow Punekars:

How do you guys deal with this meter nonsense? It seems to be getting ridiculously common.

If you’ve already paid extra, does Uber actually refund the difference when you report it?

What’s the best way to handle these drivers without wasting 15–20 minutes arguing or playing the cancellation game?

And genuinely, WHO ARE THE PEOPLE AGREEING TO PAY THESE METER FARES? Because surely this wouldn’t keep happening if nobody entertained it?

I have no problem paying a fair price, but if I’ve booked through an app at an agreed fare, why the hell am I expected to negotiate all over again at the pickup point?

There was a jam at a square in Kharadi. Turns out this mf parked in the middle of the road causing jam on both sides.

After moving ahead I realized that there were more vehicles parked in the side of the road and this mfs realized that its ok to block the traffic as long as they have to walk less.

So you can do whatever you want in Pune, as there is literally no oversight.

I’m looking to join a gym around Tingre Nagar, Vishrantwadi or nearby areas in Pune. I’d need some recommendation for gyms that have a decent number of women members, so it feels a little less intimidating to start out on my own.

I don’t really have friends nearby who go to the gym, so I’ll be starting on my own and would appreciate suggestions from people with actual experience!
