Hello, I have seen many folks coming to Poland from the EU and being completely lost on what kind of legal procedures they have to do in order to start their residence in Poland. Be that you come here to study, work or live with your spouse there are several things I hope this guide will be able to cover.
!PLEASE NOTE!
This guide is meant only for citizens of the European Union and citizens of countries that are members of the European Economic Area. Some of the parts of this guide will be similar for non-EU foreigners but some will not. In general, the info posted here is only fully up to date if you are a citizen of the EU/EEA
!PLEASE NOTE!
0. Introduction and general info
Poland is divided into 16 voivodeships which are further subdivided into powiats, which means something like 'county' and these are further made out of municipalities - pol. gmina, or cities - pol. miasto. Large cities however are both powiat and miasto so in case of Warsaw, Wrocław, Kraków etc. city office (pol. urząd miasta) will also perform duties of powiat office (pol. starostwo powiatowe). In case of Warsaw - urząd dzielnicy meaning district office will serve as city office.
All of the below information covers only EU/EEA citizens. If you are non-EU, majority of the below information will not be correct for your case.
I strongly recommend reading all of the parts linked below apart from car and pets stuff, if those do not concern your case.
I. Registering your residence and making your stay in Poland legal.
II. Obtaining health insurance
III. Using healthcare
IV. Taxes
V. Digital log-in and services
VI. Cars and licenses
VII. Banks and mobile phones
VIII. What to do when I leave Poland?
IX. Pets
If you have any additional questions or remarks, please do not hesitate to comment, I will be happy to help for as long as I'm going to visit this platform and expand this post. I hope you all have a great day and life in general. Thanks for reading, stay safe.

Dzien dobry everyone,
My name is André, I'm Portuguese and I'm living in Poland for almost 10 years.
This post is kind of a follow-up.
Some time ago, I shared a post or two here on this sub about the development of this game. I told the story that when I was 8 years old, I started making a card game that I never managed to finish (very inspired by Pokémon, during the craze back then). 27 years later, I've finally committed to make a card game from the beggining until the end, playtesting it countless times with a couple of friends in boardgame bars in Warsaw. Now it's also going digital (online)!
It's a strategy game that can be played with up to 4 players (though the online version is only 1v1). The goal is to destroy your opponent's Capital before they destroy yours. It was inspired by other popular card games like Magic and Pokémon (among others), but it has quite a few mechanics of its own, such as strategic positioning of Kravers (creatures), side effects (recoil damage, Exhausted, Wasted and Overdosed), the use of D20s, variable limits on the number of creatures in play, hand size and HP assymetries a hybrid resource system where you can draw cards and temporarily increase resource production by sacrificing cards, etc.
The game was originally designed to be Print & Play (and still is), but a few months ago, a friend of mine surprised me when he told me he was trying to implement the game online, with the help of AI-assisted coding. (Just to make it clear, the game itself was made 100% by humans. I came up with the rules, names and universe, and did all the illustrations myself. It was also tested in real life for over a year by my group of friends, and the card layouts, game logo and symbols were made by a Polish designer.)
The game is already working relatively well, it's played in the browser, and it's optimized for PC and tablets (the mobile version will be available really soon).
We're looking for more players to continue testing and improving the platform and the user experience. No previous experience is needed, we'd just like to have more people playing and get more feedback :)
The game platform uses Patreon authentication (the game itself doesn't ask for personal details or passwords), so you need to be a patron of the project. However, during this early stage, I'll be offering anyone interested a free one-year subscription as a thank-you for getting involved while the game is still at such an early stage.
If you're interested in being part of this project, just let me know in the comments or via PM and I'll send you the details in a private message! You can then play against the PC, your friends, or other players like me
Thanks in advance!

I just now received a notification on InPost that an order is on its way to a delivery box in Wrocław. But I didn’t make any orders, and I have no one who shares my InPost account. What the hell’s going on, and what should I do?

Hi! We are planning a trip to Zakopane end Dec and would like to participate in horse sleigh in beautiful Chocholowska valley. We are wondering if it is possible or common, to book a ride with the horse keepers at the valley directly, or we have to book a package tour with a tour operator? Due to limited time, we hope to take an hour ride for the horse sleigh experience instead of a 3.5hour package including highlander feast. Kindly advise, many thanks!
Polish friends, I need your help. What are typical polish songs? The direction I need is more classic and kinda old to be honest, could you recommend some Songs from your country which almost every polish guy knows? I‘d like to use them in a video, thank you friends!
