Automotive world behind

Hello guys, I’ve been in automotive in one form or another since 2012. Most recently I was working at a Honda dealership on the east coast of the USA. I had been working on a small promotion within that dealership that never went through after upper management changed. A few months ago I finally became a certified parts counter person and when my plaque finally came in the best I got was “ here this came in for you”. I knew that it was definitely time to leave this dealership, I looked around at all the other local car dealerships and none of the parts departments were hiring. So I looked around elsewhere and I’m now doing parts in the world of construction equipment. So far I’ve been there two days and it’s a lot more chill, I honestly can’t wait for it to get a bit hectic to see what that’s like. Any one else made an industry switch and still do parts?

Website like PartSouq

Hey everyone,

I’m looking for a website similar to PartSouq where I can enter my vehicle’s VIN and have it pull up the correct parts catalog, including exploded diagrams for different sections of the vehicle engine, transmission, suspension, body parts.

It looks like PartSouq has removed the Ford search option even on Ford’s website, I’m finding it difficult to locate the parts diagrams needed to identify the exact part I’m looking for.

Honda Interactive Network down

IN has been down all day and have been told to plan for it to be down tomorrow. We’ve been instructed to email excel spreadsheet orders to a parts analyst.

Anyone know what’s going on?

EDIT: An assumption I have made based on doing some google-fu: A couple articles lead me to believe they are either a victim of an AI hack or shut down their servers to create patches to protect from an AI hack.

Used to some parts being in a bag inside of the main bag. A Ziploc is a new one though

The fact it’s in a Ziploc sandwich bag with a “Made in USA” sticker makes it so much funnier to me
