OpenWrt LuCI Themes

Most LuCI themes are a recolour of the default. These are full redesigns: different layouts, typography, shapes and textures, each with its own logo. Every one keeps forms and tables fully usable.
A taste of what's in the pack
| Theme | Look |
|---|---|
| Rack | Server-rack faceplates with mounting ears, 1U/2U labels and status LEDs |
| Blueprint | White linework on blueprint blue, drafting grid, hatched meters |
| Teletext | 80s TV text on pure black, the eight TV colours, block-graphic bars |
| Aquarium | Deep-sea gradient, glass panels, slowly rising bubbles |
| Sumi-e | Washi paper, brush-stroke rules, a red seal |
| Circadian | Palette changes with the local time: dawn, day, dusk, night |
| Neobrutalism | Cream paper, thick outlines, hard shadows, buttons that press down |
| Topo | Sepia sea-chart with contour rings and a compass rose |
...plus Obsidian, Glass, Mission Control, Terminal, Synthwave, 8-bit, Paper and Retro. Dark, light and a few weird ones.
Install (one line, on the router)
wget -qO- https://raw.githubusercontent.com/vistrocity/openwrt-luci-themes/main/install.sh | sh -s rack
Swap rack for any theme name. Hard-refresh the browser afterwards (Ctrl+Shift+R). To go back: System → System → Language and Style.
Tested on OpenWrt 25.12 (mediatek/filogic). Each theme is a normal luci-theme-* package, so you can also build it into an image.
What I care about
- Usable first: visible focus states, readable contrast, phone-width layouts,
prefers-reduced-motionrespected - Safe to try: nothing touches your config except the theme setting, and it's one setting to revert
- Public-safe screenshots: all mock data, nothing from a real router
What's next
A new batch of themes lands every Friday. Requests are welcome: tell me what look you'd want on your router and I'll add it to the backlog.

Disclosure: I built these with Claude. The CSS is plain, the repo is Apache-2.0, and the themes are forks of luci-theme-bootstrap.
