Do u dont wanna I love experimenting and trying new things for old dishes and my family doesn't.
I'm not doing anything cursed in the kitchen, but when you make the same thing for years, you wanna try something new with it. I mastered my family's Danish Thin Pancakes recipe and traditionally you just add butter and powdered sugar for filling. A few months ago I made it slightly different, adding cocoa powder, filling it with nutella, and adding a dallop of whipped cream made from scratch on top. It was delicious.
My family ate it, said it was fine, and the next time I made it, they specifically asked me "don't do the chocolate ones".
Tonight we had some fresh apples we just picked. I mentioned I wanted to make a stewed apple filling instead, then add cinnamon on top for a fall twist. Everyone said they would rather just have powdered sugar and butter.
I get that I could just make it for myself, but why try new things if you have no one to share it with. If it was bad, I wish they would just tell me.

I just wanted a hot dog Political campaign spam has gotten completely out of control. Now they're contacting my family about my voting history.

I've received a ridiculous number of political text messages lately, and the tactics are becoming increasingly invasive and manipulative.
Just look at the screenshot. Within a matter of hours, I've received messages from multiple numbers reminding me to vote, claiming that public records show I didn't vote in previous elections, and even bringing up the voting history of people living in my household.
But here's where things really crossed the line.
They actually contacted my mother to tell her I hadn't voted yet.
Think about that for a moment. Political campaigns or organizations are apparently using voter records and whatever personal information they've collected to contact people's family members about their voting participation.
For what purpose? To create social pressure? To embarrass people into voting? To get family members to confront each other about something that should be an individual decision?
Whatever the motivation, it's an incredibly invasive tactic.
I understand that whether someone participated in an election can be obtained from public voter records. But there's a massive difference between having access to that information and deliberately weaponizing it to pressure voters through their families.
And it's not just one message. It's the sheer volume, the repeated follow-ups, the different phone numbers, and the increasingly personalized language. Some messages pretend to be friendly conversations. Others create urgency. Some reference household members or previous elections, almost as if they're trying to demonstrate how much they know about you.
At what point does political outreach stop being voter engagement and start becoming harassment?
What's particularly frustrating is that these organizations seem completely oblivious to how counterproductive their tactics are.
If your campaign needs to bombard my phone, monitor my voting participation, and contact my relatives to pressure me into voting, you've already given me a pretty strong impression of how little you respect personal boundaries.
I'm perfectly capable of making my own decisions about whether, when, and whom to vote for. I don't need political organizations attempting to manufacture guilt or family conflict to motivate me.
And for the record, **I'm not against encouraging people to vote. I'm against using personal information and family relationships as tools of political pressure.** Those are two very different things.
The irony is that these tactics have accomplished something: they've made me significantly less receptive to the organizations responsible for them.
I'm curious how widespread this has become. Have other people been getting messages referencing their voting history or household members? More importantly, has anyone else had political organizations contact their relatives specifically to pressure them about voting?
Because if this is becoming a standard campaign strategy, I think we need a serious conversation about where voter outreach ends and intimidation begins.

ಠ_ಠ These clickbait posts
This account on Instagram does this daily. Makes it look like a celebrity died just to get clicks then plays it as a happy birthday post. Such obvious scummy behavior (to be expected from daily wire), this one was particularly egregious, with Willie's birthday happening SIX MONTHS AGO IN APRIL. Blocked them so hopefully no more on my feed.

No Coke. Is Pepsi ok? Walmart would not honor price on package. Rang up as $15, not $14
The package itself says 2 for $14, there are two pairs inside but it rang up as $15. Not a huge deal, I figured they'd just adjust it real quick like they normally would but the employee took it to like, 3 other workers and came back to say the price it scans as is the price it is. It's $1, not a big deal, just annoying as they've always just changed the price on things if it's only off by $1-2.

Unskippable ad spent all day installing ads
i’m an electrician and today i had to install an end cap at a walgreens. they are just ads on a monitor. sometimes they even have commercials… inside the store. yes, i understand it’s smart (i guess) to throw commercials at people while they’re already shopping. maybe it’s just me, but it’s definitely infuriating.

wet socks Why do you pee on the seat?
Ok people, specifically the ones who stand when they pee in public bathrooms, why do you insist on peeing all over the seat? You know people sit there and yet it probably happens every single time. Can you not just grab a little piece of toilet paper to avoid touching it or just use your foot to have the slightest bit of common decency? Don’t even get me started on the giant puddle directly below the urinal.

Ruined by Technology Wrong information blatantly shared
I just saw a post that showed Willie Nelson with two years under it, his birth year and 2026. So naturally I looked it up and he is fine. Not two minutes later I see a post with Clint Eastwood holding a 100th birthday cake. It was obviously AI because he looked about 70 and so I again looked it up just to be sure and he won't be 100 for 3 more years. There were hundreds of responses for both, condolences and happy birthdays. It is infuriating to have to verify every little thing online now.

Missing Peace Amazon uber drivers SUCK
I didn't know where else to write this. I had an amazon delivery today. I paid two extra dollars for it to be delivered next day. The driver (who is the ones in their personal car, not the big blue van) decides they can't get into the apartment because the gates are closed. My code is in the instructions. So, they message me, and as soon as I begin to message them, they then just say "Dropped it off at the front office door. It wasn't opened." -_- Didn't even wait 2 minutes for me respond. For context, I have no idea what the front office is going to do. Hoping they just deliver it to us but that's usually not how things should operate at our apartments.
They mark it as delivered, (no picture) and the worst part about it, amazon support is HORRIBLE so I couldn't even report the delivery without it directing me back and to basically "figure it out". I got to say, I'm leaning towards just going and buying my stuff and forgetting amazon.

Hillary 2016 An update, new switch was too thick for the box and pinched a wire, now we need an electrician
As it’s in a kitchen the wiring replacement needs a licensed electrician, plus I’m not skilled with replacing cables buried in plaster nor chasing out brick walls

I'm slightly vexed I let someone borrow my power bank and this is how they returned it
All the white bits on the actual power bank are scratches and the red bit in the charger is the inner wires
Don’t mind my fingernails btw it’s paint not dirt
