I also took this sub’s feedback about not storing perfume in the bathroom. Old setup in my post history for reference. :)

The key is seating and things to distract people from why they are mad at other people.

Finally managed to buy a house and been slowly trying to make it a home. Excuse the smudged windows but it’s our dog’s favourite observation spot!

I know my living room setup is super nerdy, but I am a super nerd. Any advice? I’m thinking I need a rug for the main sitting area, but not sure what color

Me (M25) and my gf (F25) moved in together a few months ago but it took us awhile to get it furnished cause everything is expensive and this is now the first time in my life where id rather be home. Ever since I moved out of my childhood home ive felt like ive existed in a space that wasnt mine. Now that ive moved away from troublesome spaces and people and live with the loml in a space that we have curated, I love being here. My job takes me away from home for sometimes days at a time and when I think about going home I get so excited! Not only to see my gf but to just exist in a space where I feel like I can be myself. Many thanks to my gf for finding the apartment and all the furniture and for helping create this space that im proud to call home.
TLDR: Feels like home for the first time.

I know the red LED’s are probably controversial. I was aiming for like a Sith Lord, Darkside sort of vibe while keeping the theme.
Tool box also is an eye sore, but it doesn’t really have a better place to live atm.

23M, Currently in Singapore (in a shared condo, but will be downgraded on November 30 this year) as an intern in Marina Bay Sands. Man the living spaces here have huge differences between modern/spacious, and old and crammed.
Long story short, I hate working here due to communication and social problems, and already planning on moving to somewhere else better, hopefully
Edit: possible location is in Brisbane
I dream of a day when I finally live solo on my terms, my own kitchen, my own bedroom with a gaming setup and most importantly for me: my own dry bathroom with a shower guard since Singapore is obsessed with having NONE on almost all places I stayed.
To anyone who is successful at achieving that in Australia, do share your story

A few months back I posted my apartment and the biggest backlash was the large American flag I had above my desk, which did look tacky. It is the flag my family was given after my grandfathers service ended in Vietnam, so I thought it nice. But with a suggestion I memorialized the flag better at my parent’s house and put this up instead.

moving into an older walk-up apartment with a tight staircase turn that makes hauling a traditional one-piece three seater basically impossible. looking into a solid modular couch setup where individual sections can actually fit through narrow doorways and reconfigure easily if i change apartments next year. a lot of modular options online either feel like cheap hollow plywood boxes or have flimsy plastic clips that pull apart when you sit back. what modular systems have you guys bought that feel solid, assemble smoothly without four hours of cursing and actually hold up to movie nights?
