Might be a hot take but I miss the old tempering system.

Not the bricking or the limited rerolls those sucked. But the actual affixes.

Stuff like:

Increased Frost Nova size

Increased Blizzard size

Casted Hydras have +1–2 extra heads

Chance for Frozen Orb / Ice Shards / Frost Bolt projectiles to cast twice

Teleport Nova size

Incinerate / Meteor / Firewall size

Chance for a second Ice Blades or Lightning Spear

Bone Spirit explosion size

Bone Storm duration

Chance for Bone Spear / Bone Splinters to cast twice

Dust Devil size + chance to cast twice

Whirlwind / Double Swing size

Raven active size

Blood Surge Nova size

Those weren’t just another +% damage. They actually changed how the skill felt and looked. Your Frost Nova actually covered more ground. Your Hydras had more heads. Skills could get that satisfying screen-clearing size or extra projectiles.now most tempers feel like just another +damage or +resource stat.a lot less exciting. A lot of the personality got stripped out when they cleaned up the system.

I get why they changed it RNG was brutal and some of those size tempers were probably too strong, but I still miss the flavor. I miss trying to make a no meta builds around like Frost Nova to insta freeze the whole screen. Or when Barbnado was a thing.

Played a lottttt of Warcraft / Diablo (and Starcraft but not relevent to drops) over the years. Kinda cool to finally understand how drops are actualy rolled.

Just got tempted back into playing again lol, and started a new toon. Is it Splinter of Destruction and Helltides that is the recipe for super-fast levelling above 250, or is it something different?

I spent 3Bill+, 120 rolls, on trying to get the Crit Strike Dmg Multiplier on my mythic Homunculus. I’ve rolled Crit Strike Dmg Multiplier before on various other equipment but never saw it come up in the stupid amount of rolls I put in for. Is it just not available n the Mythic version?! Just frustrating to spend a solid 8 hours getting gold and rerolling to get no where…

on the dev post about s16 ptr announcement, they talk about a pit and ih rework. have we news about that ? or they keep the surprise for the launch ?

Is it worth to grind astarot for mythic ring of midnight sun cuz it’s his specific loot pool, but 3 nightmare dungeons does not seem efficient, Is it better to grind it elsewhere, if it’s possible?

Did anyone else see that toggle today? I had in-game pop ups. The goblin pillar in Kyovashad was there and everything... then it disappeared. Between 1-2 pm CT.

The S16 PTR is live, and while going through all the new data, we noticed a bunch of changes that are either missing from the patch notes or were only half-mentioned. Usual PTR disclaimer: all of this can still change before launch.

The biggest ones:

• Firewall: Enemies continue Burning for 2.5 seconds after leaving the wall. It used to be 1.8 seconds.
• Spew Putrefaction: 35% Poisoning damage over 6 seconds is now 35% per second. If that is not a tooltip mistake, it is a massive buff for Spiritborn.
• Sanctis of Kethamar: Attack Speed is gone, replaced with a 7–10% Holy Damage multiplier.
• Thunderstruck (Druid Legendary node) is now Howling Thunder, works for Storm and Werewolf Skills, and Crit Chance goes from 5% to 15%.
• Molten Band: now also triggers on Boss hits, and the Attack Speed buff lasts 8s instead of 4s.

There are about 15 more, including Frostball, Lightning Spear, Staff of Zerae, Aspect of Human Ingenuity, a full Spellbound Steel rework, and a charm affix change Gold Find farmers will like. Did anyone spot something we missed?

Before WoW Forever launches I was trying to think of anything I needed to finish up in other games and it hit me that I never completed the armor reliquary in D4. It seems a little excessive that I still need 77 more favor tokens.

Did they change the speed at which you acquire favor tokens? Maybe I just didn't notice because in past seasons I have had more fun and just played until I had collected everything but right now I just want to be done with D4.

It feels really bad for it to be this much of a grind. I really don't want to run 35 infernal hordes.

I got rank 45 in the 4 player tower rankings this week. I got my halo and my title was changed to Scourge of the Primes.

However Scourge and of the Primes are not listed in my titles and I cannot change my title now.

Somewhat related when I got the perfect cupcake I got my portal but not the cuddly title. Anyone else as well?

What class should I pick? I played a little bit last Xpack, but going to buy the new XPack right now and wondering what class I should roll? Last patch I started as Rogue but then rolled Necromancer and loved it due to the skeleton build I had. What do you recommend?

Nor should Necro’s items and aspects. Not to mention Barbarians can equip two more items (two more uniques or two more aspects) than Necromancers.

In the past there were hidden titles when you 100% completed the season journey, from what I understand this is no longer the case, or was it changed? Wondering if it makes sense trying to complete it.

When I was playing the "march of the goblins" quest came out quest entry. Went searching for a goblin - found and killed it. Score did not change. Logged out and back in. Repeated the above. Score still 0. Blazing scream Warlock (if it matters).

I am trying to get flawless horadric rubies in 4 slots (like so many other players) and I have 2. I play a lot, and I feel like having 2 is pretty good.

I saw that some people are trading gems and one player has 30 ! How??? Either I am doing something wrong or they are doing something very very right. RNG can’t explain such a huge grind, and I noticed that Seer’s reach is no longer dropping gems. What am I missing?
