DR1 Cast felt that they were done disservice i'm not hating on the outfit they are good but something i felt/realized that the style that they went for is less grand festival but more like casual festival like going into a fancy restaurant or fancy cruise ship but not like a grand festival anniversary where in 10th everyone was glamarous and flashy so i tried rating them on this vibe but DR1 cast really didn't have that big of impression it's 50/50 but DR2 on the other hand wait for it but part 2 is goated

Disclaimer: this post isn't about people liking or disliking the character and that you should have a specific view, but this is about how *some* fans act about that feeling. (Though hatting him and this aren't mutually exclusive).

(Edit: I don't mind Makoto not being a fan favorite, that's not what is post is about).

I believe Makoto is a pretty liked character in the fandom, and his haters are so rare I may be able to count a maximum of them here on 5 sub. But this post isn't to address this, but instead a different group of fans that are spread more wildly.

Those fans will say they like Makoto or that they are nutural about him, that he is a nice character... But that's it, that's what Makoto is. Now find him interesting or not that's up to you. But this specific type of fans can't stand Makoto being admired or glazed or even thought highly off. Like Makoto is just "the boring protagonist of the first simple game" and can't be anything more than the box they want him in. Like they are on the verge of having a stroke if you prefer him over their favorite character. (Of course I won't just make you take my word for it, so I will have a few examples in the comments. But I trust that you at least observed this phenomena before a few times). (I only got into the fandom this year, but from what I heard this was much worse a few years ago (around 2020)!? If anyone could confirm that for me).

His intelligence can't be high, his physical abilities must be really low even lower than average. Even though the story actually suggests the opposite.

I am pretty sure most people here had shit when they talked about their favorite characters. But I feel like when that happens to Makoto specifically, the other side doesn't have anything to say against him or his character, because the plot itself is against what they are trying to prove. All they have is "he is boring" and "he doesn't deserve all that."

The bigger problem is that I have never seen any of those people try to even make an argument for what they are saying. They want to shut you up and be done with it.

If anyone does have one, please say it. I am open to reasonable discussion. Here are my main arguments as a starting point (1), (2).

(Note about the examples in the comments: I am not accusing everyone that commented something like that they are targeting Makoto (even though some are), I am just saying the dismissal of Makoto is wide spread and is almost viewed as "non-problematic hatting." But as Makoto my favorite character, I have and will continue to push against that). (And yes I do have a life outside of Danganronpa, I just know how to manage my time).

I have a macbook and I was able to download and play danganronpa v3 with an emulator, but I am now running into an issue during the first trial. I need to change a truth bullet into a lie bullet and I can’t for the life of me figure out how to do it. You either hit the return button or click the mousepad to shoot a truth bullet, and holding it down doesn’t seem to work. Has anyone ran into this before?

Hello fellow Danganronpa fans!
Im currently writing a byakuya x Y/N fanfic which is based of the main events of THH.
It's an AU but closely follows the events of the main story! I would really appreciate it if you'd take a look at my story. It currently has 5 chapters out right now.
I plan on making it a long detailed fanfic with some cute romance on the side.
If you have any tips or suggestions, I'd love to hear them!

She is a legend, she awesome and honestly she is so much more useful than Togami and she suppose to be a traitor.

does anyone remember this being called "the Monofile" or am i having a major Mandela effect moment? ever since ever i have been calling this the Monofile and i need to know if i am going insane before i write my fanfic

Is my First post here and i decided to show this

Celeste had the personality but the third trial made her look like a joke and in a way that didn't at all feel intentional to me. You'd think all eyes of suspicion would be immediately cast upon her with how she tried to bullshit her way to the vote.

When I first started V3, I thought Himiko would be the most boring filler of a character ever. Then, her third trial happened and I couldn't have been happier to be wrong. Her arc was fantastic.

Do you have any idea ?

It was careless to do that especially when she didn't told them that she had a notebook and that they will have to search on it

So I have been watching the youtuber Breezly return to Dangaronpa after UDG. And I want to know how do you think he would react to the ending of V3. I mean finding out that everything was a game show. Would definitely put him over the edge, i do love his reactions. He probably would say this is why he stop playing the game for so long? What do other people think his reaction might be?

I know this isn't an especially popular or frequent topic but every once in a while I'll see somebody else ask "Why does Mikan have male/female symbols in her intro?" and none of the replies ever mention the fact male/female symbols are used in several Japanese games, including other parts of Danganronpa 2 (the male cylinder and the female flask) to denote sex and general sexuality. Considering Mikan is one of the most overtly sexual characters in the Danganronpa 2, I'd wager that's what they're supposed to signify.

As for communicating "Mikan is bisexual" I'd say she probably is given the way she acts around Hajime and her devotion towards Junko, but I can't imagine a graphic designer or Kodaka thinking "She swings both ways so we'll put the male/female symbols in her intro to say that and then communicate nothing else about her character".

Hi all, my boyfriend loves the Danganronpa series and has gotten me into it as well. Our anniversary is coming up and I want to do something danganranpa themed. I have a friend drawing him as a danganranpa character which I think is cool. However, im struggling to figure out something else to do. Are there any creative minds out there that can help? Im thinking of something class trial themed, but cannot think of how to make that possible.

yet another drawing by me, i used one of those ibis paint tracing bases for the hand

The only scene in this series that made me tear up….

From that tiktok meme

Or a new version comes out in the 2x2 art style

I mean is it like ACTUALLY confirmed?
