How long did it take to plant all that c4 on the island?

I realized I've never questioned where Adrian got that many c4s and how he managed to put them all over the island with out some of the guards from Argus noticing. Chase was really 10 steps ahead

Discussion Started re-watch of Arrow

Now that Arrow is on prime, I decided to give it a go once more. Probably one of my favorite shows from the DCU. Been about a year or so since I watched it last.

Im literally only on episode 2. And I have to say, the way Stephen Amell plays Oliver's PTSD is so real and raw. He's stiff and rigid, especially when discussing the island. Its more than just not wanting to expose that he's "the hood guy". You could feel the visceral tension when Thea walked in on him as he was putting on his shirt.

The flashback scenes while he was describing what happened during his court thing to be brought back from the dead. Or when Laurel asked him if Sarah suffered, and you see Sara get sucked out of the boat. You can tell Oliver is trying hard to push those memories back.

Anyway, I just wanted to praise Stephen on his rather real performance of PTSD

I need somewhere I can go and train and become better, stronger. Just a break from reality and I can take my time all while becoming something better. I wish these places existed.

Discussion Should I start watching the series again? I haven’t seen it since 2015. Spoiler

To sum it up: I watched *Arrow* through the third season, but stopped there because I lost access to cable TV at the time. Now that I have a streaming service, I’m wondering if it’s worth continuing from the fourth season onwards. There are two things holding me back:

first, I’ve seen some clips of scenes from later seasons, and Oliver seems so... idiotic? I also remember starting the first episode of season four and finding Oliver just... embarrassing to watch?

Second, I’d only be watching *Arrow*, but since it’s part of a shared universe with other CW shows, how much would that affect my experience?

Now that this show is on Prime I can watch it at 1.5x speed. Really makes the gods awful dialogue in some episodes much easier to deal with.

Theory Diggle to blame yet again

On rewatch 10,458 lol , I’m looking at s5 e18 if you really think along with laurel’s death being his fault , ultimately Samantha is his fault and his hand spasms are his fault too .. if he didn’t stop Anatoly and friends (bratva) from killing Chase , the island debacle would of never been.. noooo , Diggle has to let his moral high ground get them in more shit

If he is too good to break any rules he would of taken Andy to jail on Lian Yu , he would of stayed in jail when Oliver broke him out no matter if was innocent or guilty , if your going to be black and white when it comes to morality & follow the rules don’t pick and choose .. and that’s why I fckn hate Diggle and his existence.. a lot of problems came from him thinking he knew better when in actuality his morality cause 2 pivotal moments and they could of been prevented

I’m getting huge Batman/Bruce vibes from Oliver Queen but I’m loving it . I can comfortably say Arrow is one of my favourite S1 CMB tv shows . The next few seasons will be amazing .

What do you think of the idea of making them mother and daughter?

Someone brought it up in a previous about isabel rochev and I'm just toying with the idea. I actually thought this was what they were going for when they introduced emiko to the show.

The obvious con is that emiko is Japanese and rochev is Russian or at least raised in Russia

Discussion The Detective Lance problem

Rewatching and my s1e1-5 issue is flaring. Lance would have been decimated, taken off the street and fired quickly for the crap he said to the Queens in e1 alone.

Moira is hilarious

This show debuted when I was 22 and the older I get the funnier it gets every time I re-watch season 1 that she was upset he wasn't well adjusted and mature enough to be CEO of a Fortune 500 company only like a week after coming home from being "stranded on an island for 5 years". The general reaction to him being closed off in season 1 gets more ridiculous as I age like let the man reacclimate without the attitude holy shit haha.

Question Confused about abrupt decisions with Sara. What happened?

So I’m watching through the show and I’ve now gotten into season 3. I really liked season 2 and thought that Sara was a big reason for that. However I felt that things ended with a lack of closure with her and her family, and more importantly Oliver.

She decided to breakup with Oliver because she seems to feel like she’s broken and will only cause him pain. Throughout season 2 it honestly seemed the opposite to me, and I liked Oliver and Sara’s relationship. She leaves then comes back with the assassins for the final battle which made it make some more sense. However I don’t believe there was a single real deep conversation between Oliver and Sara at the end of the season to give them some closure about their relationship, and a final goodbye before she left.

It felt a little too open of an ending to me when a large part of the season was exploring their relationship in both the past and present. It wasn’t a big deal because I expected her to show up and figure this stuff out in season 3. Well she definitely shows up! And then dies lol. Very unexpected for me. So my question is what changed so fast? She seemed to be fitting well in the team, going along well with Oliver, and it seemed they were setting her up to be his primary side kick. Then in the matter of like 7 episodes she leaves him, leaves entirely with so many remaining open wounds and unresolved relationship issues (not even just with Oliver), then they kill her off. This is like if they just killed Laurel off right at the beginning of season 2.

Maybe I shouldn’t be asking this until I finish season 3 but I’m very confused about what caused them to do this.

I know this would really change the show, but do you think Oliver and Laurel should have met after Laurel became a Meta-human?

I do think earth 1 Laurel should have been a meta and not used tech for the Canary Cry.

Flash Forwards

Maybe I don't understand timelines. However we see in the pre crisis timeline in the flash forwards that Star City is in ruin and horrible place to live in and that is a result of Oliver's death. But he still died in the Crisis timeline anyway so how does that change the fate for Future Star City where it is a place of no crime and peace?

Discussion I dislike Arrow’s portrayal of addiction and AA.

First off, no one calls themselves a drunk, especially not someone in their 20s (Laurel). And second, it’s a process. Does she have a sponsor? It seems like she just magically recovered. It doesn’t work like that at all.

Shitpost Arrow Season 1 Rewatch

Haven’t rewatched Arrow in a loooong time.

Almost done with season 1 and it is hilarious how many times Laurel is being shot at 😂😂😂 I swear to god every other episode she or someone with her is being hunted.

This is the #1 thing sticking with me in my rewatch lol.

Felicity's Trolley Problem with the nukes

Ive been thinking about the trolley problem they gave felicity where she chose to kill the one (havenrock) to save the five (monument point).

As a programmer trolley problem has been brought up in real-life scenarios for me before although the stakes were not death.

Since I first saw the trolley problem in college I believed that not doing anything was the choice that would most ease my concience. If 5 die, someone else killed them. If I kill the one, it is my fault. So I believe Felicity did commit mass murder of ragman's entire town. Theres ofcourse schools of philisophy that consider inaction to saving lives to be bad, but that would blame the entire planet other than Dahrk, had nobody diverted the Nuke.

Theres also excellent theories about how 5 people's lives are not more important than one, its not the math we should do. Afterall, we do not simply condone cannibalism if it could feed 5 people.

I found Curtis specially saying that Dahrk was to blame for Havenrock to be a terrible exchange. Out of all them Curtis's character seemed to respect life most and it didn't seem that respectful in that moment.

Ofcourse the whole Dahrk Nukes and Noah's ark storyline was dumb af. But their handling of the aftermath in an otherwise good season 5 bothers me more every rewatch. I think the writers truly did a garbage job with such an insanely high-stakes event.
