Peelday: Sticker Diary

Thumbnail gallery
3 Upvotes

Hi! I'd like to introduce my new app: Peelday.

With Peelday, you can turn every day into its own unique sticker pack.

Share them on social media, or use them as custom stickers on WhatsApp.

App link: Play Store

How it works

  • Take a photo, or pick one from your gallery.
  • Peelday finds the subject, removes the background and smooths the edges.
  • Before saving, rotate the sticker or make its border sharper or rounder.
  • Add a note and save.

Thanks!

The "System-Meeter-Bar"!

Android Google PlayStore: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.it_huskys.smb

The “System-Meeter-Bar” is designed to offer a solution for license friendly support and analysis tools who are compact and not related to EULA’s who require licensing for commercial usage. The SMB is a system data collection tool, system overview tool, benchmark, test and system report tool all in one. You can use it for displaying an overview of your system, finding issues or testing the stability of your system via the built-in benchmark tool, no matter if it’s used on a private system or used in a commercial environment.

What does the name “System-Meeter-Bar” stand for/mean? The App-Name "System-Meeter-Bar" is a worldplay and mixture of the words "System" (target relation), "Meeting" and "Meter" (collecting point and measurement unit) and "Bar" (for its list design and placed at the Screen-side (Side-Bar)). The combination of all these words result in the Apps name "System-Meeter-Bar" or "SMB" for short.

Key-Features of the System-Meeter-Bar:

The SMB offers many useful features for support and system tests:

Data & Info

This is the main function of the SMB that shows a live overview of the system with most important data of the system, System-Core Data, CPU, GPU, RAM, Battery, Display-Data, Storage usage and Network activity.

System Monitoring

With the live monitoring of the CPU, System-Core Data, Storage-Devices and Network traffic, you can monitor the load the full system with easy activity tracking.

Benchmark & Test

The SMB comes with its own built-in benchmark tool to stress-test the system for heat or power issues, but can also score the CPU power of a system for comparison with others, or test the speed of your storage devices, next to quick-call any system/option settings you need. On Android devices you can also check the functionality of flashlight, vibration, display/screen (dead pixels) and more.

System-Shortcuts

The SMB comes with its own built-in System-Shortcut menu. that offers quick access and triggers to many Configurations, options and apps/folders/tools, that are hidden or difficult to find in the system.

Device-Tests

The SMB offers a wide range of features to test the full functionality of your android device. Screen-Color tests to test for burnins or defect pixels, vibration or you flashlight. Device fectects like these can be easily detected with the SMB.

System-Report

I made an iPhone app that reads your unread email out loud on CarPlay and takes replies by voice

• Upvotes

I'm the developer, so this is my own app. DriveMail Voice is free with one banner ad on the phone (there's never an ad on the car screen), and $0.99 once if you want it gone.

What it does: when you plug into CarPlay it starts reading your unread mail out loud, one message after the next, and you talk back to it. Say skip, mark as read, reply, forward or summary any time, including halfway through a message. A reply gets read back to you before anything is sent, so you can say send or start over. The car screen is just big buttons: Reply, Reply All, Forward, Skip, Mark Read, Replay. It works on the phone alone too, screen locked, which is most of how I use it on foot.

Gmail, Outlook and iCloud all get merged into one stream. You pick oldest-first or newest-first, and speed from 0.75x to 2x. It strips signatures, legal disclaimers and tracking links out before reading, because out loud those are most of the message by volume and none of the point.

The honest friction, since this sub asks about setup more than features: Gmail connects over IMAP with a Google app password, not "Sign in with Google". Reading a full mailbox is a restricted scope at Google and needs a paid security assessment every year, which an app with no revenue and no server can't justify, so the app password is the way in. It's about two minutes in your Google account settings and your actual password never touches the app, but most Workspace work accounts have app passwords switched off entirely, so work Gmail often won't connect. Outlook is the normal Microsoft sign-in. iCloud is an app password as well.

There's no server on my end. The app talks to your mail provider directly. Mail is cached on the phone, encrypted at rest with iOS file protection, which is what lets it start reading before the network wakes up. Voice commands run on Apple's on-device speech recognizer, not SiriKit, so none of this goes through Siri and the audio isn't recorded or uploaded.

Limits worth knowing before you download: English only, iOS 17+, and replies carry a "Sent by voice while driving" sign-off unless you turn it off in settings.

https://apps.apple.com/app/apple-store/id6760625295?pt=128605371&ct=rd-apps&mt=8

What I'd like back: if a message comes out sounding like gibberish, tell me what sort of email it was, because every formatting fix so far came from a real mailbox rather than from me guessing. And if you have a head unit or a wireless CarPlay adapter where audio apps cut out or don't resume after a call, I want the model. I can only test with one car.

App Block puzzle game with NO interrupting ads!

Thumbnail gallery
• Upvotes

Hi everyone! My partner and I launched our block puzzle game, Gummy Lab 🐻🧪

We built this because we were genuinely tired of mobile games filled with predatory monetization constantly interrupting the gameplay. So we made a promise: absolutely ZERO forced or interruptive ads.

What (we like to think) makes our game special:

🧩 70+ Handcrafted Levels: No AI filler.

🎨 Deep Accessibility: Dedicated colorblind palettes (Deuteranopia, Protanopia, Tritanopia) and embossed shapes for maximum readability.

🌙 Native UI: Full Light & Dark modes built right in.

We are just a handful of downloads and reviews away from getting our first official Play Store rating! We would be incredibly grateful if you could try it out and leave honest feedback. ⤵️

From the subway to the dinner table

Post image
0 Upvotes
  • It’s called Touché, and it’s on the App Store: https://apps.apple.com/app/id6818151604
  • I have a pretty long subway commute, and I didn’t want to spend the whole ride mindlessly scrolling through TikTok
  • Then I built this and tried it out with my family, and we had a blast. Now we play a few rounds after dinner, and whoever loses has to do the dishes.
  • There are plenty of ways to play. You can go head-to-head and race to buzz in, take turns, or play side by side with your own sets of questions. You can also pass the phone back and forth every time someone gets an answer right. And of course, you can always play solo

my brain rot got so bad i coded a blocker that forces me to do literal pushups to unlock my phone. need pricing advice from y'all.

ngl my screen time is completely cooked. was losing like 6 hours a day to absolute brain rot on short-form feeds. regular app blockers are basically useless bc my dopamine-starved brain just turns them off in settings the second i get bored.

so i got pissed and coded my own blocker (android) and the mechanics are actually unhinged.

  • it locks whatever apps are ruining your life.
  • want 15 mins of scrolling? put the phone on the floor and do 15 literal pushups (or squats/planks). 1 rep = 1 min.
  • the catch: i hooked the camera up to an ML pose tracker. you can't just lay in bed and flop your hands around to fake it. if your form is trash or you don't go low enough, it flashes red and rejects the rep.
  • the trap: if you try to panic-uninstall it or open settings to bypass the lock, it instantly kicks you back to the home screen.

launching soon but subscription fatigue is so real rn and i don't want to be greedy. need a reality check from you guys:

  1. what's an actually fair price? cheap monthly ($2-3) or one-time lifetime buy ($20-30)? what's the absolute max you'd drop before feeling scammed?
  2. what extra feature would make this an instant buy for you?

roast the idea or give me feedback. just a solo dev trying to fix my own bad habits. appreciate y'all.

App I made an offline book reader that can narrate in your own voice. Looking for honest feedback.

I got tired of phone readers that sound flat and robotic, so I built Voxbook.

You import an EPUB or PDF you already have, hit play, and it reads the book out loud. It stays on your phone. No account, and it works offline once it is set up. The voice is meant to sound like a person reading to you, with some feeling in it, instead of that clipped computer tone.

The part I care about most: you can record a short sample of your own voice and have the book read back in that voice. It makes a familiar book feel a lot more personal. There are built-in narrators too if you would rather not use your own.

It is free to try. I would really like to know what feels off. The voice, the reading screen, importing a book, anything. What would you change?

App I built an iPhone storage cleaner, but users wanted more control over what it could scan — so I changed it

Thumbnail apps.apple.com
1 Upvotes

Hey r/apps,

The original idea was simple: help people clean up thousands of photos and videos without spending hours manually sorting through them or accidentally deleting something important.

But after releasing the app and hearing from early users, I realized something.

Finding unnecessary files is only half the problem. People also want control over what an app considers unnecessary.

One user pointed out that they deliberately keep duplicate photos in certain albums and didn't even want those albums appearing in cleanup suggestions.

That was useful feedback, and it led to one of the changes in our latest update.

What's new in SpaceFresh 1.1:

  • Protected Photos: Exclude selected albums, folders, and Favorites from cleanup suggestions.
  • File Cleanup: Find duplicate files, large documents, older files, and similar or edited versions in folders you choose.
  • Smarter Suggestions: Find old screenshots and large screen recordings that might be worth cleaning up.
  • 20 Languages: Expanded language support for users worldwide.

SpaceFresh also includes:

  • Duplicate and similar photo detection, with best-shot suggestions.
  • Similar and duplicate video detection.
  • Large video discovery and photo/video compression.
  • Swipe-based photo cleanup.
  • Blurry photo detection.
  • Duplicate contact detection and merging.
  • Incremental scanning, so newly added media doesn't require starting the entire analysis again.

Privacy was another priority.

Photo and file analysis happens on your device. There's no account requirement, no uploading your personal media to a server for analysis, and nothing gets automatically deleted.

You decide what stays and what goes.

The app is free to download and scan, with some cleanup features subject to free-use limits or Pro access.

App Store:
https://apps.apple.com/us/app/storage-cleaner-spacefresh/id6798147223

I'm still improving SpaceFresh, and I'd particularly like feedback on one thing:

When using a storage cleaner, would you prefer to exclude certain albums entirely, or would you rather have the app show everything and let you decide what to remove?

I'm interested in hearing how people actually manage their photo libraries, including what existing cleaner apps get wrong.

Help me find Looking for alarm app for iOS that I can snooze remotely but not turn off

Hi all--I don't really struggle with alarms when I have imminent obligations, but I have more trouble when I don't. So I've recently devised an elaborate scheme that I'm hoping will help get me out of bed even on days that I don't have anything going on in the morning/afternoon.

What's missing is...an alarm app that actually works the way I want. I have a Bluetooth speaker with the standard three stereo buttons (two to skip forward/backward and one to play/pause), and I'd like to leave my iPhone downstairs so I'm not tempted to just. Grab it, crawl back into bed, and vegetate there...or worse, set a later alarm and sleep for another hour and a half only to do it all over again when I'm still sleepy the next alarm.

If there were an alarm app that could play music from my speaker, and that would be snoozed by the play/pause button but not flat-out deactivated...that would help a lot with my elaborate scheme. Does anyone know of an alarm app for iOS that works that way, or am I dreaming too specifically?

App [iOS/Mac] Magic Pocket 1.4.0 adds interface translations and local keyboard layouts

Developer here. I shared Magic Pocket earlier this month; version 1.4.0 has now shipped with interface translations, local command phrases and typing layouts for the Pocket keyboard. The App Store lists 33 interface languages.

Pocket is for the small details you save and need again: a booking number in a screenshot, an address in a note, or information in a PDF. Save it deliberately, find the detail later, then copy it. On iPhone/iPad, the Pocket keyboard can insert saved text at the cursor in apps that allow third-party keyboards. On Mac, there’s a menu-bar panel. It doesn’t integrate with password-manager vaults or replace Password AutoFill.

The new translations include Hindi, Spanish, French, German, Arabic, Hebrew, Japanese and Korean, among others. Wording is still being refined. Speech support depends separately on the local models available for your device and language. Reading, organizing, searching and speech recognition happen on-device; optional library sync uses your private iCloud.

First 10 saved items are free with all features. Unlimited saves are a $4.99 one-time Pro purchase in the US (local prices vary), covering iPhone, iPad and Mac. No subscription.

Happy to answer questions about the keyboard or the language settings.

LUCHIN APP - helps you with your decision!

Post image
1 Upvotes

Hi everyone,

We just launched our indie app Luchin on the Google Play Store and would really appreciate your feedback.

Play Store link: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.luchin.app

What it does:
When you're stuck on a difficult decision (job, relationship, life), general AI chat tools often tend to mirror your own thoughts and validate whatever you type.

Luchin takes a different approach: You describe your dilemma in a few sentences, and instead of giving you comforting answers, it works more like a chess computer, calmly breaking down the hidden assumptions and alternatives you might be overlooking.

More information: https://www.hase-ai.tech/luchin/

Under the hood:

  • Runs completely ad-free - first 50 User get one Analysis for free!
  • Local-first privacy: your reflections stay on your device .
  • Built with React Native, Three.js WebGPU, and Skia Graphite for real-time visual cards for more technical insights follow: https://x.com/ThomasPittinger

App I built an app to manage every physical thing I own. My favorite feature is texting it.

Thumbnail gallery
6 Upvotes

I launched my first app a few weeks ago. My background is engineering, and I’ve spent the last few months building it with AI assistance to help manage the things I own—appliances, vehicles, tools, equipment, etc.

You start with two photos: the item and its model/serial label. It uses those to help identify it and find manuals, maintenance schedules, and compatible parts. You can keep receipts, notes, and service history together, and share access with family or other people who use or help maintain those things.

I didn’t want to build just an inventory app where I catalog everything and then let it collect digital dust. I wanted it to actively help: remind me about upcoming maintenance, check in for mileage or hours, and use those updates to help estimate when service is due.

Texting has become my favorite part. The screenshots show me asking when my drinking water filters are due, then asking for a link to replacements. It already has my model information, so I don’t have to crawl under the sink and start the search over again. The same idea applies to my truck, four-wheeler, water heater, or refrigerator.

I can also text things like “Changed the oil in my F150 at 100,000 miles” and have it recorded. I can ask questions, update service history, and get help finding parts specific to what I own — all without opening the app.

Taking the two photos of each item around my house and garage took me about half an hour. Adding previous service dates and mileage took a little longer (mainly finding where I wrote everything down) but that gives it a starting point for tracking what’s coming due.

It’s called Hāvin, and it’s available on iOS. There’s a free tier; texting is part of the paid plans with a seven-day trial.

Would you use something like this, or would getting everything set up still feel like another chore? It’s been useful for me, but I’m still refining it and would appreciate feedback from others.

Built an alarm that punishes me for shaking my phone instead of getting up

I got so good at Alarmy’s challenges that they stopped being alarms and started being little morning puzzle games.

Solve the maths. Scan the QR code. Feel weirdly accomplished.

Then go straight back to sleep.
So I built VocalWake.

You have to walk a set number of steps before you can dismiss it. Try to cheat by shaking the phone and it just adds more steps. Then you have to say a different motivational quote out loud clearly before it will finally shut up. Mumbling doesn’t count.

Would this actually get you out of bed, or would you just end up standing in your hallway at 7am angrily telling your phone that you are capable of great things?

App Got my Flutter app on the App Store without ever touching a Mac

So I had my Flutter app on Google Play for a while and finally wanted an iPhone version too. Problem is I only own a Windows PC.

Turns out you can do it. Took me about three weeks start to finish, and honestly the coding wasn't the slow part.

I used Codemagic as a cloud Mac. You hook up the repo and it builds, signs, and pushes to TestFlight for you. The free plan gives you 500 mac minutes a month, which was fine for one app. The queue can get ugly though, a couple of builds took almost an hour.

Most of the Dart code just worked. What didn't was the platform stuff. I swapped the Android doc scanner for the built-in iPhone one (VisionKit), switched Play Billing to StoreKit, and had to build the PDF library separately for iOS.

Debugging without a Mac was the painful part. First TestFlight build crashed the second it opened. No Xcode, no device logs. I ended up pulling the crash report through the App Store Connect API, and the cause was a single missing line, the AdMob app ID in Info.plist. Felt dumb. Now the build just fails if the ad IDs aren't there.

Review rejected me once, but it wasn't a code problem. Apple just asked for more info since it was a new account. A screen recording from a real phone, what the app does, what outside services it uses, how to get to the subscription screen. I wrote it all up in English, sent a recording, and it got approved pretty quick after that.

Two things I'd tell past me. If your subscription has no review screenshot, it never shows up in the app at all, the paywall just looks broken. And after release, link your App Store page in AdMob or ads stay limited.

Biggest surprise was that the account side took longer than the port. Developer program, paid apps agreement, tax forms, bank info, I even had to convert my account type. That was the real time sink.

Happy to answer stuff about the Codemagic setup or the review if anyone's curious.

App My wife's idea, my code: an app that finds your foundation shade in other brands

I'm the developer, so this is self-promotion.

My wife was tired of guessing her foundation shade every time she tried a new brand. One brand's shade tells you nothing about another's, so she'd buy, find it was wrong, and start over. She came up with the idea, and I built it.

Shadewell takes a shade you already wear and finds the closest shades in other brands: 31 brands, about 2,900 shades. Don't know your shade? There's a tone reading with the front camera or a photo. It's analyzed on the phone and never uploaded.

Your closest match is free on every result. All matches, filters and saving are a one-time $6.99. No subscription, no account, no ads.

https://apps.apple.com/us/app/shadewell-foundation-match/id6797058765

Feedback welcome, especially if a match looks wrong.

Mac / Windows / Linux: I got tired of copy-pasting into ChatGPT from Gmail and Slack, so I built a desktop assistant at your cursor

Thumbnail gallery
5 Upvotes

Disclosure: I’m the solo developer.

My workday looked like this: Gmail or Slack open, new ChatGPT tab, paste the thread, wait, copy the answer, paste back, fix the tone, paste again. Same loop in Google Docs and Slides. The AI was useful. Switching apps to move text was what burned the time.

I wanted dictation and ChatGPT/Claude in the window I’m already in, not another browser tab. So I built UBIK Flow: a desktop app for Mac, Windows, and Linux (not mobile-only).

What it does

- Voice typing at your cursor: dictate in Gmail, Slack, Notion, Office, any text field

- Side panel: your ChatGPT or Claude account in a panel over your current app

- Ask about what’s on screen: you trigger it with a shortcut; your AI can use context from the app instead of you screenshotting and pasting; it can type at your cursor, use your clipboard, and show you step by step how to make stuff on your computer.

- Saved shortcuts: weekly status, client emails, the prompts you retype every Monday

A YouTube video showcasing the product is available here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bak_X2BwWho

What it is not: a new chat website, resold API tokens, or “bring your own key in a random web UI.” You keep your existing OpenAI/Anthropic subscription.

Privacy/trust: screen context runs when you hit a shortcut, not as always-on background capture. Signed desktop builds; I’m happy to answer how permissions work in comments.

Try it: 7-day trial on desktop after joining the waitlist: https://ubik-flow.com

Question: If you use ChatGPT or Claude for work, which app do you still paste into it from most email, Slack, or docs?

Open to any feedback or questions! Thanks for reading this, join the waitlist if it seems helpfull at https://ubik-flow.com !

I put a little iPhone game on the App Store in 2011. 15 years later I finally remade it.

Back in 2011 I released a small iPhone game called Bubble Dodger. You steer a fish and try not to touch any bubbles. People played it, and I always meant to go back to it someday.

This year I finally did. I rebuilt it from scratch with new art, glowing toxic bubbles that show up more as you level up, shrimp to grab for streak bonuses, a few power-ups and four difficulties. I also went down a rabbit hole and made the game generate all of its own music and sound effects. It's not much, but it's pretty fun.

The part I've had the most fun with lately is iPhone Duo support. When you open the phone, the game plays on the inner screen and the controls move to their own panel below the fold, so your thumbs aren't covering the bubbles. If you half-fold it and stand it up like a tiny laptop, the top half is the sea and the bottom half is the controller. That's how I play it most of the time now.

It's free to try with Easy and Medium. One optional $2.99 unlock adds the harder modes and a shop where you can collect and design your own fish. There are no ads, no coins for sale and no data collection. I wanted it to be something you could hand to a kid without worrying.

I'd really appreciate any feedback, good or bad, and especially from anyone with a Duo.

App We made MapleReady for Canadian study goals. Here’s a school-bus scenario you can change.

Post image

We’re Kasabeh Technology, the creators of MapleReady for iPhone. This is a real screen from its Ontario Scenario Lab: change the road divider or your position, then compare the explanation and source.

The app covers nine study areas: Canadian citizenship, driving, motorcycle, boating, drone pilot, food safety, security guard, real estate and responsible alcohol service. The interactive lab shown here is for Ontario driving.

Would changing one condition help you understand a rule better than repeating the same practice question?

Free with ads, in English. It’s an independent study aid, used alongside the relevant official handbook or required training, with no promise of official exam questions.
