Three Democratic female candidates for Congress have been hit by cars over the past few days. Peltola, a woman running for Congress in TN, and a woman running for Congress in OH.
Protect Mary. I wish the democrats sent people up here for her like the republicans did for Dan.

General Nonsense We got issues
So there are about 30 fliers, this is for two days of mail. Some double, my two adult children live with me. The cost for this type of election garbage hitting my mail box in a regular year can average around 100.00 per our family of 4 voters. In a heavy election year like this one it can go up to about 400.00 dollars. And please someone tell me my numbers are way to high. But any amount in my eyes is too much.
I don't look at them, not even a glance, never have NEVER WILL!
This is sad!!!
This is pathetic!!!
This is an absolute waste of money!!!
People are tired, cold, hungry. Every politician on every side is the same, "Elect me so I can pretend I have morals and values you share with me." When in the end it's lobbyists who get to stipulate their bidding. I'm tired of all of them, they all suck!
Can we please see past them this time for who and what they are.
I just want people to understand that this is the numbers for our household. Now multiply those by the Alaskan population. The amount each party spends could, I don't know, put heating oil in some tanks, pay some electricity bills, buy some food, shit help people learn to grow food indoors up here. Endless possibilities other than just getting burned in my fire pit or wood stove.
I... I just can't even with this shit anymore.
The amount of financial waste for politicking.

Polite Political Discussion 🇺🇸 Trump on Alaska ballot: ‘A lot of people don’t know what incumbent means’
Is he that dumb or just desperate for an excuse to try to rig the election? Maybe both?

Polite Political Discussion 🇺🇸 Trump's attempt to declare Alaskan election results invalid because of word incumbent. No one will understand it.
Trump just used that word in a Michigan rally urging people to vote for the incumbent R. So what is he saying? Michigan voters are smarter? I don't know. I've visited Alaska and the people I met were strong willed and minded, fiercely independent and love the paradise in which they live. No one is getting 5K if Republicans win, not going to happen. SO don't believe it. It won't happen. I'm old. Ive seen many presidents and none are perfect, not one. But we have never had one so exploitive, so vulgar and so unconstitutional. When politicians make promises, think about what will be the opposition in any legislative session, be it state or federal. All politicians lie, they just do. Alaska, I'll be thinking about you come 11/3

Polite Political Discussion 🇺🇸 Who is paying these people to canvas around town? I used to think they were volunteers but I’m pretty sure this guy didn’t have a clue who is on the ballot.

Over the last week I’ve had 3 people swing by our house and ask these exact questions, with each one progressively getting more unfamiliar with candidates they are talking about.

Trump says Alaska’s ballot is illegal because a lot of people don’t know what “incumbent” means. Q: How is it illegal? Trump: It is illegal because it is unfair. You want fairness in voting.

s3.documentcloud.orgJudge Gleason order on Democrats’ motion to expedite consideration of DOJ attempt to rig the election for Dan Sullivan (🤮incumbent🤮).
She grants Dems' motion for expedited consideration and notes DOJ waited four months to sue over the ballot.

Nursing schools in Alaska
I'm interested in going into nursing and trying to choose between UAA and APU. As of now, UAA offers a bachelor's and an associate's, while APU only offers an associate's. They both have a bridge program from rn to a bachelor's as well. The price isn't too concerning since they would be around the same for me cause I'm an Alaskan resident. I'm not sure if I want to do a bachelor's or just go get an associate's to see how much I like nursing before I get a bachelor's. (Also, any comments on the schools vibe/ like or dislike if you've gone to one) Any advice on how to choose between the degree types and schools?

Volunteered Today
Knocked on doors today for JKT, Mary, and the lot. Most people dont come to the door. Hardly anyone says who they support. Fewer still will talk with you. But when people did ask for info, it was awesome. I got the opportunity to tell them why I support the candidates I'm volunteering for.
Massive win in my book. Some guy told me about the history of the pipeline and another dude gave me some Mallomars.
