Hi everyone!
I'm a university student in the UK, and as part of Charity Week, my university's Islamic Society and I are raising funds to support those in need in Gaza and Yemen.
I'd really appreciate any support, even just £5 would mean a lot, and if you're able to give more, that would be amazing. Every donation helps, no matter how small.
If you're unable to donate, even an upvote or sharing the fundraiser would be greatly appreciated!

Thank you so much regardless ❤️

for instance, every martyor from the houthi side from my city was working in a civilian department. One of them was the president of anti-drugs congress or whatever. All employees within civilian department or ministries have either been sent to the warfront, or fled to smaller towns. there is absolutely no government in control If local resistance was to emerge, the houthis would be helpless .

I’m going through a difficult period in my life, and I feel like I’ve lost my direction and purpose. I want to spend around a month living with Bedouin in Yemen, learning their way of life, helping out where I can, and hopefully developing my character, resilience, and understanding of what it means to be a man. I’m not looking for a tourist experience or a resort. I want to experience authentic Bedouin life, ideally by staying with a family or living at their encampment for a while.
However, I have some serious concerns about safety. As a white Western man, would I be welcomed, and is it even realistic to arrange something like this in the near future? Given the current situation in Yemen and the different groups controlling different parts of the country, would this be far too dangerous for a foreigner?
I’m also concerned about health risks, particularly food poisoning and the possibility of dying from contaminated food or water. How significant are these risks if I were to stay for around a month, potentially in a remote area with limited access to medical care?
I’d appreciate honest advice from Yemenis, Bedouin, or anyone with firsthand experience. I’m serious about approaching this respectfully and learning from their way of life, but I want to understand the reality of the risks before making any plans.

Assuming that the war has ended and Yemen has reached stability, how can female sports be introduced, and how will the public react to it?

I read this article today on the BBC today about malnourished twins Raghad and Raad at the al-Sadaqah hospital in Aden, and perhaps because I have a newborn too, it made me desperately sad and I really want to do something. Does donating actually help? If so, where to?
I'm aware funds could be diverted, so my first thought was Drs Without Borders, but any thoughts appreciated. Also, I know any donation is unlikely to actually help these two twins and this specific hospital, but if there is a way to do that I would like to know.

Hello everyone, I am Mohammed from Sana'a, Yemen.
My family is struggling to buy food this month. I lost my job and prices are very high here. We need $100 for rice, flour, oil and basic food for one month.
I can receive via Western Union to Tadhamon Bank in Yemen.
Even $5 or $10 will help us eat. If you can't donate, please share or pray for us.
Thank you so much. I can show proof if needed.

The Trade in Kadi Perfume Oil in Aden — A Testament to the History of the Global Perfume Trade
The pages of history shine brightly, telling us the story of Aden not merely as a commercial port, but as an aromatic gateway connecting East and West.
Among the most notable commodities for which Aden was renowned in ancient times was Kadi perfume oil, which helped establish the city's name in the historical records of the international perfume trade.
This historical account is supported by Nigel Groom, an internationally recognized historian and expert on the history of perfumes, in his book The Perfume Handbook, which documents the pivotal role of the port of Aden in the trade of this precious substance in ancient times.
Among the key points mentioned in the book are the following:
The kadi plant grows along the coasts of southern Arabia, particularly in Hadramawt and Al-Mahrah, as well as along the coasts of East Africa.
The account also indicates that Aden was not merely a place where the oil was extracted, but a major international centre for collecting, storing, and exporting kadi perfume oil to markets in India, the Mediterranean basin, and beyond.
In ancient international trade, kadi perfume oil was known as “Idhīr” or “Itir,” a name said to derive from the Arabic word ‘itr (عطر), meaning perfume.
Quotation
“The aromatic oil, known as Idhīr or Itir… was a valuable commodity in the ancient incense trade, with major trading centres in Aden and Socotra, from where it was shipped to India, the Mediterranean, and beyond.”

The Houthis are more capable on the ground but can do basically nothing against saudi Air power thats why they have taken heavy losses while actually massing troops for large offensives

Immortal Pages from Aden’s Historic Struggle in the 1960s
These historical photographs document a chapter of the publications issued by the British authorities during the Aden Emergency (1963–1967) and the glorious 14 October Revolution.
These publications and security wanted lists were distributed and displayed by the British occupation forces and their allies as part of their psychological and security warfare, in an attempt to break the spirit of the resistance and capture the heroic freedom fighters belonging to the National Liberation Front (NLF) and the Front for the Liberation of Occupied South Yemen (FLOSY) in Aden’s historic neighbourhoods, including Sheikh Othman, Crater, Al-Mualla, and others.
However, these repressive measures only strengthened the resolve and determination of Aden’s free people. Through their blood, courage, and steadfastness, they wrote some of the most remarkable chapters of heroism, culminating in national independence on 30 November 1967.
We republish these historical documents today so that our children and young people in Aden and everywhere else may learn about them and truly understand the price of freedom, the greatness of their fathers’ and grandfathers’ struggle, the brutality of occupation, the disgrace of collaboration, and the resilience of the people of Aden, who never surrendered their dignity.
