That boot must taste really good

I guess this university just wants me to be homeless cos theyre gonna kick us out of dobie and force us to pay for the expensive dorms including the brand new one :-::: idc if y'all say dobie was in bad shape my room was PERFECT and im gonna miss her <//3 maybe i wouldn't be so mad if they told us AHEAD of time like before people put down a deposit, even if they refund it like when youre low income that shit really matters. i'm just really upset that they handled this so poorly

Does anyone know what’s going on with Dobie next year? I got an email saying my room can’t be renewed for Dobie and I’m curious if it’s because of something or it’s just not a renewable dorm?

what is happening to the dolbie dorm by guad ?

I'm considering taking Building AI Agents (CS 378) or Agentic Software Engineering (CS 378), but I think last semester was the first time either was offered, so I haven't been able to find much info about them.

If anyone has taken either class, would you recommend it? Were they actually interesting/useful, and how do they compare to other CS classes in terms of workload and difficulty?

Also, has anyone taken M427J since they got rid of the online exams? I'm wondering how manageable it is to do well now, especially compared to classes like physics, intro bio, or chem.

Hii what the post title says! Looking for a tutor for both M408C and CS303E! Please private message me if you’re willing to tutor me and we can discuss rates, and day/time!

Alan Holzman seems like a dope guy but after you get accepted is it competitive? Is it like other classical programs where people have these egos? Is there more of a community feeling? What are the other music majors like?

Why is this? I am just confused as I’ve heard people’s financial aid have been adjusted in the past and mine didn’t for this year. I q dropped to below 12 hours both last fall and last spring.

My main focus has been post production for most of my time here.

I want to now make a short film in the spring, and I have a script, I just need a crew 😭 How do you find people? All of my friends are post production too, and I really want this to look professional so I would need people who’s had experience in this part yk

Hello everyone, my advisor informed me that I have a chance of testing out of RHE306 if I take the TSI essay and pass it. I was wondering if anyone had input on good study materials or how the test was like? I wanted to know if it was even common to pass this exam with a 7 or 8? Any input would be great!

Basically the title: Does anyone have any experience taking this class with Judith Coffin? It seems incredibly interesting and the professor seems absolutely amazing; the structure of the course and the grading details are just scaring me a tinge...

Any other recommendations for a cool history class (for my degree, it must be a European History course) would be awesome as well!

Thank y'all so much for your help!!! :)

I’m an undeclared CLA freshman that was not accepted directly to McCombs nor the Economics Dept.
Currently taking Macro Econ and Calc 1 and then Micro and Calc 2 in the spring. To hopefully apply for internal transfer as a sophomore

I’m nervous I might not get accepted to either major (seems like GPA is all they look at, and Cal 1 and Cal 2 are challenging courses that business majors don’t even have to take) Problem is I already have enough AP credits and basics that by sophomore year I would need to start taking intro courses within these majors to stay in the 4 year plan to graduate. So if I don’t get in,I’m screwed, and I’m not really interested in a Sociology Major or the like.

Do you guys have any advice on how to improve my chances for internal transfer besides high GPA. Particular people or advisers to talk to , specific professors/classes to take, organizations to join, any advice would really help. Specifically if you guys had success transferring. Recommendations, etc. thank you

just curious and wanted some advice if anyone has done it before

I was looking into the minors available and I have got it down to a few, however you can only minor in 1 thing. I got it down to either Buisness Foundations or Semiconductors. I am a freshman in ECE btw. Anyone who has minored or is currently minroing in these things if you could please share your thoughts it would be greatly appreciated. I was thinking of doing buisness orignally because it makes me more well rounded but I have heard it isn't worth it from some people so I wanted to ask for input from anyone who has taken one of these 3 minors

EDIT: I noticed the semi conductor minor has a lot of overlap with some of my required courses like ECE 411 and ECE 316 which could be good to save time

i am a freshman here at UT studying Math, i am also taking philosophy classes
who is the best advisor in the math department to help me decide on things like

- double major Math and Philosophy

- or apply for the Polymathic Scholars program

my current advisor is not really that interested I need to speak with someone who can really help me understand what options are available

I am planning to take the following classes as a math major: M427J H, M341 H, M378K, M328K, and Dean’s seminar(assuming I get Dean’s for internal CNS transfer app)

I am currently taking the following classes as a freshman: M427L H, M325K, M362K, and UGS.

I currently have an A in all my classes, and the workload is very manageable.

I'm looking to buy a secondhand College of Natural Sciences gold graduation stole. If anyone has one they're willing to sell, please comment or DM me with the price and a picture!🤘🧡

Like can they see if you opened an assignment but didn’t answer any questions

Hello! I’m a senior undergraduate Human Biology major at UT Austin looking for shadowing or clinical experience opportunities in the Austin area. I’m interested in surgery, but I’d be grateful for an opportunity in any specialty or clinical setting.
I’ve reached out to several doctors by email but haven’t had much luck. If you know a physician who allows students to shadow or have any advice on finding opportunities, please send me a DM or leave a comment. Thank you!

It was just barely announced at Dobie 21 will not be accepting contract renewals for the upcoming year. It is not finalized whether the building will be closed or repurposed, although its obvious that it will be repurposed into a commercial building for more profit. In this statement they say that they will allow us early renewal access to other dorms, (like this helps the issue at all), because the truth is that all of the apartments and similar priced housing is out. And lets be honest every other dorm is $2000 more expensive and twice as shitty. Fuck UT.
