Breast implants, will I displease God? Will it affect the plans he has for me?

So I basically never really developed breasts, I’m talking about AA a tiny handful at most. I have always felt very self conscious and it doesn’t really fit my body/ looks a bit underdeveloped since I’m curvy in other places. seems to be genetic as most of my sisters are flag as well. I’m not a terribly insecure person otherwise but this thing has bothered me for years. I’m married and my husband likes me as I am but I know he likes boobs haha and would prob not want to say anything to upset me, I have the finance and I follow Jesus closely I’m just so afraid of proceeding with this in case I’m sinning or ruining Gods plans for me. or that I’m being vein? I have a Catholic background where my dad talked a lot about sin and I think it made me hyper aware of it when I’m decision making. Help

Christian women, are men at your church pursuing? [Christians Only]

Do men still ask women out for coffee? Just wondering if any Christian women on here have/are being pursued by men. If not, have you done anything to try and open that door for them? If so, did they just do it or did you have to initiate first? Just noticing a lot of worldly patterns within the church in regards to how men handle courting etc.

Bible contradictions? Is this wrong?

Saw this and wanted to know what you guys thought. It's been bothering me...

Bible contradiction

The Bible clearly says children aren’t punished for their parents’ actions and vice versa—everyone is judged by the sins they commit. Examples:

Deuteronomy 24:16

‘Parents are not to be put to death for their children, nor children put to death for their parents; each will die for their own sin.’

Ezekiel 18:20

‘The one who sins is the one who will die. The child will not share the guilt of the parent, nor will the parent share the guilt of the child. The righteousness of the righteous will be credited to them, and the wickedness of the wicked will be charged against them.’

So why does God do the opposite in 1 Samuel 15:3, where He says:

‘This is what the Lord Almighty says: ‘I will PUNISH the Amalekites for what THEY DID to Israel when they waylaid them as they came up from Egypt. Now go, attack the Amalekites and completely destroy everything that belongs to them. Do not spare them; put to death men and women, CHILDREN and INFANTS, cattle and sheep, camels and donkeys.’’

When this verse is used in general to argue that God is ‘cruel and evil,’ the typical response is that ‘the Amalekites did horrible things, so God had to punish them.’ But even if that’s true, the children and infants didn’t do anything to Israel or anyone else. Why are they being punished for the sins of their parents, when the Bible explicitly forbids this kind of punishment?

Christian single mom by choice

Hi!

I am 24 and wanting to become a single mom by choice with donor sperm. I never even considered the Lord might have a problem with it and I prayed over my child, their life and my donor choice. But now I got scared of hell. I know fear of hell should never be the motivation for a Christian to do or not do something and thus, I feel very ashamed but I wanted to be honest. I did grow up without a father myself, which didn't change anything regarding my faith or my mother's. But I am also catholic and my church says no to IUI, or at least the Vatican, my personal congregation doesn't necessarily. I have prayed over the child so much and also begged the Lord to decide himself whether my insemination would be successful in the best interest of my child. If He sees suffering without a purpose or not. I also found a donor that made me cry from joy after already having given up on finding a good one. I want to raise the child in a Christian household and to teach them to love and pray. But I don't want to go to hell or make God sad and disappointed. I also know that the Bible says some will be lying to us, so we think we can do whatever we want. I don't want to succumb to this. Then again, I still believe God alone decides who comes here or doesn't, IUI or not.

I broke up with my bf, and need advice on what to do next

Hi. Sorry long post.
I (25F) broke up with my (29M) boyfriend last month.

Context of our relationship: We met last summer, and he confessed to me (He was gay, and wasn’t expecting to fall for a girl).

I felt convicted of his past, and took a step back for a few months. He was hurt and everyone around him noticed.
When I came back, we continued chatting, and began dating. Everything was great. He even told me it felt like God brought us together (He prayed for a girlfriend)

However, in August, when he came down with a mysterious illness.
He started misinterpreting my actions and saying hurtful things (His ex had BPD and treated him horribly). I’d clarify my intent, but I felt like I was dismissed.

I felt the same conviction and ended things. He was hurt and immediately requested space.

I didn't give it because our mutual friend relayed his messages (EX: I want her, yes, but only if she doesn't flip-flop quickly) to me after the breakup.

I assumed he wanted to talk again, but I was met with silence and eventually a removal.
I sought advice from a friend, and they said he could've been punishing me (I should have taken it with a grain of salt). I even said that.
That made him upset more, block me, and tell our friend that he was done and didn't want to hear about me unless it was important. Then, I left all of our servers and didn't mention him for a while.

Last week, I re-joined one of them to see if his illness progressed. I saw that he unblocked me, but blocked me again when he discovered I came back a few days later, and then decided to leave me unblocked.

I'm not sure what this conveys. I know feelings aren’t reliable, but I’m torn because of the mixed signals. I don’t know what God wants me to do.

Atheism Has a Definition, and I Think We're Confusing It

I've noticed some confusion in discussions about atheism. Particularly when people claim that atheists actually believe in God, there just rebellion or mad.

You simply cannot be an atheist, and believe in God.

* By literal definition: "An atheist is a person who does not believe in the existence of any god, gods, or supreme beings, or who actively believes that no gods exist"

You cannot genuinely believe that God exists and simultaneously lack belief in His existence. Those are contradictory positions.

Hence what makes an atheist, a atheist by definition.

I think it's important that, as Christians, we represent opposing viewpoints accurately, especially when discussing matters of faith.

convertion therapy

Why does the Christian community have convertion therapy in 22 states in America? If god and Jesus preached love with truth not to condemn people but to convict homosexuals(in this scenario), why is convertion therapy a thing? Many youth in the LGBTQ+ suffer from it. They have much a 2x higher rate and transgenders 4x then there heterosexual counterparts of suicidal attempts, and they get beat up with the bible(the movie boy erased has a scene of a “homosexual” getting beat up “in the name of god” to “fix” him. if they don’t do it they have a high likely rate of getting kicked out of their house. If we’re a “loving people” why do we need to have this institution being one of our representatives for the lgbtq+ community. Why does it have to be that LGBTQ+ people have to “change” or “fix” them just to come to Christ? Isn’t it “come as you are”? Doesn’t god look at the inward appearance instead of the outward appearance-1st samual 16:7 but in this institution for some reason its the exact opposite of that Bible verse and in doing so these kids get physically, emotionally, and sexually abused for feelings they can’t control… (before anyone thinks I’m a progressive Christian I’m not. I I’m a non denominational Christian. I believe in the trinity, Jesus dying on the cross rose from the dead 3 days later, you should repent everyday, and picking up ur cross and following god daily but i dont believe this practice should not be a thing towards the lgbtq+ community.)

I am terrified about my new relationship.

Its only been a couple of weeks into a new (also first) relationship. She has never really been exposed to Christianity and she's very skeptical about everything. She is an amazing woman who is doing great things. I love her a ton and the thought of losing her is heartbreaking. I pray for her constantly and try to be s positive Christian influence in her life. How should I move forward?

If I break a swear to God/oath am I damned?

• Upvotes

If I’ve broken an oath or swear to God that I wouldn’t do something but did it am I screwed and damned for good?

I know it’s not so black and white, OCD and impulse was a factor, but God is ever knowing and knows the truth. It’s not like I can lie and say it was an accident, I could’ve been stronger or found a better way.

Regardless though, am I screwed? I do believe that Jesus died for our sins and were forgiven as long as we believe I God and Jesus in our heart truly but I’m not very educated or well versed other than face value.

Please any advice? This has been tearing my mind up for months….

Feeling the need to complain to people who feel similarly

Have you ever been listening to a song you like, then you go to the artist, and they have a satanic song or some blasphemous imagery? Nothing pisses me off more than that as far as music goes. It’s already bad how much I encounter it because I listen to a lot of metal of all different kinds, so you have to tread lightly in death metal genres, annoying but whatever, just check the album covers and song names and some lyrics to make sure they aren’t blasphemous or satanic, and if they are then just drop them. Like I said annoying but you have to expect to come across that stuff every once in a while in those genres. You know what really makes me want to strangle someone though? When I’m listing to a band you wouldn’t even begin to think would do stuff like that based off their genre/vibes, and you scroll through the songs and theres blasphemy or straight up support for satanism. Last time I got really pissed off it was a super niche Neo-folk (I love neofolk when it’s not pagan or blasphemous) that has a sound unlike anyother, I was loving it, and then they have satanic songs all of a sudden. The worst part was that they were niche enough I can only find one or two full individual songs on yt, the rest are entire albums uploaded as one video with song names showing as you reach them. So I’m vibing, enjoying peak music, then the song changes, I check the song name, and the new song was titled something about the archenemy coming back, it really angered me. You wanna know what really did it though? I was listening to cake, (I really liked “the distance“ and “never there“) and I’m going through their stuff on Apple Music. One of their songs is named “pentagram“. That wasn’t even the worst one either. This just pisses me off so much and I hate people who do that. I just wanted to complain around other people who would understand. Originally I just searched up my thoughts but all I could find was idiots asking if they can listen to satanic slop as Christians so that’s why I made this post. Thank you for listen if you read this far, I was just really angry and wanted to complain.

Why do I feel like Christians often don't like to have other Christians as friends?

Don't get me wrong, I know it depends but I often find myself trying to make christian friends and what I see is that people only meet at church, but nowhere else. Maybe I'm the one who doesn't talk but...

Like I have had many non-christian friends before (and I still have) that I have conversations with from time to time, we hang out, among many other things. In contrast, I find fellow christians a bit hard to make friends with, or hang out outside church.

What do you think?

Questions for Catholics

I have been raised catholic, but I am confused about some questions and what the beliefs are. I do not intend to offend anyone with these questions.

  1. Does the catholic church hold the same authority as the bible? How? The church is still of man, they may be Christ figures but they are not Christ. To my understanding Peter was the first Pope appointed by Jesus, I do recognize and understand the church as an authority, but isn't saying it has the same as the bible basically saying Peter was equal to Jesus?
  2. Is going to church and partaking in the traditions mandatory? If you just need faith, wouldn't anything else be works? Works do not save you. Traditions do not save you. Faith does. Of course church and other traditions are very good, but they are good fruit, not saving. Going to church will not save you, knowing and accepting Christ will.
  3. Why can't anyone partake in communion? If the bread represents Christ, why would anyone ever be denied it? If a non-believer takes part in these traditions it may convert them, and isn't that a great thing?
  4. Who are the Saints and why pray to them? Jesus says put faith in him alone, so why put faith in any them? Were they sinless in life? We are commanded to not try to communicate with the dead because they will not hear you, but demons will.
  5. Is Mary sinless? "For all have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God." Is Mary exempt from sin somehow? If she was not sinless, wouldn't we just be praying to a dead person? Again, dead people can not hear you, but demons can.
  6. Why is Mary referred to as Mother of God but Joseph is not referred to as Father of God. They were both his physical parents, why is one worthy but not the other?

Whenever these and other questions are asked it seems as if many Catholics get angry and answer you by talking down to you. I believe this says a lot more than any words can. I hope you understand that I mean no offense with these questions. I'm exploring what denomination I am. Thank you for reading!

Does anyone else feel like dating other Christian’s is harder?

26(M) here, does anyone else feel like dating other Christians is harder than dating those who are non Christians? I find Christian women to be incredibly judgmental and quick to drop you over the smallest thing. At least the liberal/non-christian women accept you for your faults and try to push you to be better. Am I the only young guy with this issue?

My 22 y/o grandson is atheist, depressed, and identifies as "genderqueer"

My grandson is 22, and has considered himself an atheist for some years now I beleive, apparently long before I knew. He's on the autism spectrum, fairly high functioning( not nonverbal, very intelligent) but not the most social. He's also very liberal, and I have know he wanted to support his friends in the LGBT community and was generally pro-transgender.

He's been growing more distant from me and his father for the past few years. I see him very occaisionally now. Other than thanksgiving and christmas, I believe the last time he saw his father was before he was hospitalized due to depression.

He came out to me last week. He came to my house wearing a pink blouse with a white skirt, and a face covered in makeup. He wants me to use "they/them" for him which is not happening. He said he is willing to keep a relationship if I am, but he won't tolerate me denouncing his identity.

I have been trying to pull him to christ. Sometimes I think I see a curiosity within him. I know he befriended a local preacher, who he describes as a very smart and kind man. He reads the preacher's articles on some sort of blog sharing website. I'm forgetting what it's called. I don't know how tolerant this preacher is of my grandson's gender identity but really, above all else I want him to be pulled to Christ. I want him to join me in Heaven when we've both passed.

I don't want to push him further away by chastizing him. I do fear this as its him going further and further into the secular world. I have seen self-damaging behaviors from him, and I am worried about losing my Grandson, in a time where he needs me and especially the Lord the most. He doesn't have a job. He doesn't have any ambitions. I want to bring him to the Lord but I don't know how. As a Christian, I also don't know how to accept this radical change in him without endorsing it and sinning myself. I don't know what to do as his grandmother.

I've yet to see something that embodies the expression 'copium' as much as the heresy of universalism.

'I don't like hell so it must not be true'. Yeah I don't think anyone likes it, it's the consequence of rejecting God, how can it be pretty!? That's why we are supposed to help people reach Christ so they don't have to suffer such fate, instead of coping that 'oh no, we're all going to Heaven anyway', 'oh don't worry, God is all loving'. Yes, He is indeed all loving, that's we gives us the chance to repent in the first place. These ideas got it all backwards.

How can you be a Christian, go to church every week, see the altar, see Jesus crucified and think that repentance is optional. How can you listen to Jesus and think that everyone will be saved when He literally said that the wide door that leads to destruction is where the vast majority of people enters. The narrow door is narrow for a reason, because people chose not to go through it, most of them prefer what's easy, what pleases them, what feels good. And then they somehow blame God that not everyone is saved when people receive the consequences for their own choices, that's rich, not gonna lie.

Following the basic fundamental rules of anything will get you far. This includes getting closer to Jesus.

• Upvotes

Following the basic fundamental rules of anything will get you far. This includes getting closer to Jesus.

When starting a business, there are basic fundamental rules someone can follow everyday and incorporate those rules into their business plan and it will take them far. They may not be the best, but it sets up a strong foundation that will help avoid failure.

When fighting, it's the same thing, you have fundamentally sound fighters who are not the fastest, doesn't hit the hardest, but because their technique is fundamentally sound, it takes them to the championship level.

This goes for building a relationship with Jesus as well. When you wake up, I want you to think about something you're grateful for that happen today, yesterday, 10 years ago and praise Him with your heart and ask Him to join your day. Then start making a habit of this, but always start off by giving thanks.

Don't say it quick, talk to Him like Hes the Supreme Being of the Universe, talk to Him with reverence and give Him your emotions. I promise He will bless you the same way He has blessed me, even more because He's so generous and giving. Be very careful to understsnd you're not doing this because you want gifts, you're doing this because you want the Ultimate Supreme Being to be your friend, companion, Father, you want a relationship with Him.

When you talk in a job interview you don't say quickly, "I want this job because so and so" you go into detail. Well, go into detail for Jesus when you talk to Him. Just try this for 1 week, I promise your life is going to change. There will be added peace along with blessings. Yeah sure you're going to sin, lie, cheat, steal, fornicate, but don't let that separate you from Him. Tell Him you're weak and pathetic, He may have mercy on you and still answer your prayer like He has done countless times with mine.

Try this, open the gospel, find something you like that Jesus said, meditate on it and tell Him you believe He said it, and just think about it while telling Him over and over and over and over that you believe He said it and He was here 2k years ago. You're going to feel some kind of peace over you.

Describing the Trinity using Adam and Eve, is this heresy or a good way to explain it?

“ Therefore a man shall leave his father and his mother and hold fast to his wife, and they shall become one flesh. ”

Genesis 2:24 ESV

Flesh is what Adam and Eve have in common. Adam is flesh, Eve is flesh, however Adam is not Eve. Yet both are 1 flesh in unity. Yet 2 distinct persons.

You have God. The Father is God, the Son is God, the Spirit is God. God is what all 3 have in common. Just like flesh is what Adam and Eve had in common. And just like how Adam = flesh and Eve = flesh yet Adam is not Eve and Eve is not Adam. The Father is not the Son or Spirit. The Son is not the Spirit or Father. The Spirit is not the Father or the Son. Yet all 3 are God in unity. Yet 3 distinct persons.

Is this a good way to explain it or is this heresy?

Christian Roleplay

Big question. How does everyone feel about Christian roleplay, more so creating a story while "playing" as a character. I write books and sometimes I do find it a but lonely while writing. I have dabbled into roleplay (non sexual) years ago and I like it when it is focused in the story and just having fun making it into a book.

My problem? I actually dont have anyone to write with... so... what are your thoughts?

Would you be against this or want to participate so long as it doesn't cause anyone to stumble?

Isaiah 9:6 — "The government shall be upon His shoulder" — I'm learning this is not church government

Isaiah 9:6-7 has been burning in me:

"For to us a child is born, to us a son is given; and the government shall be upon his shoulder... Of the increase of his government and of peace there will be no end."

I used to think government meant church leadership. But I see now — it's THE government. All governments. Systems, technologies, networks, even AI — all of it was meant to be upon His shoulder in the beginning.

Colossians 1:16 says all things were created through Him and FOR Him. So if a tool is not on His shoulder, it's out of place. It's not the tool that is evil, it's that it's not under His government.

In the world, sons of this world are wiser — Luke 16:8 — they quickly put every new tool under their government for their purpose. But sons of light, we are slow to put those same tools under HIS government for HIS purpose.

Jesus said in Mark 7 we can make void the word of God by holding tradition of men. Could holding to old ways of doing things stop the increase of His government?

I'm learning that evangelism is not just saving souls from hell, but bringing all things back under His shoulder where they belong.

How are you seeing His government increase in your daily work, online, in your tools?

To those who doubt: A past evil sorcerer wants a word.

To begin, I want to say that I am dressed in shame. This is because I, regrettably, ended up dabbling in occult, satanic, and evil perversions and machinations that I am not proud of. If you are on this sub and you doubt the divinity and sin-cleansing blood of Christ, you are deceived. To give credibility: I've done spells, practiced spiritual corruption, had demonic sober out-of-body experiences, have literally interacted with Demons and/or Satan, and have successfully exorcised demons myself. To defend, I am not mentally ill. Although I have hallucinated about three times in my life, any drug-induced hallucination is absolutely not this.

So to start, I want to give encouragement to existing Christians. Satan is the ruler of this world; he controls it physically and spiritually. He may not operate the Earth on a level like God, but God has handed him over to the prince of this world. The sadness, pain, evil, division, and fighting we see in the world are due to his influence and his objective. And his objective is: hell. But behold, Jesus has died a horrible death to save you from a horrible fate, which is the wrath of God in hell.

To be honest, I used to have faith. It used to be like I was choosing to believe in Jesus because things like naturalism and the general want of sin would pull me away. This stopped when I started obsessing over the Beast from Revelation and things like Babylon and the Illuminati. I didn't necessarily want to be in those figures and systems, but I wanted to know more about what was behind the veil. What was the red pill? What was really going on? Are we in a simulation? Surely there's a logical reason behind why Epstein did what he did, and it's not just Satan. Surely religion is going to be outdone by science; 6,000 years ain't millions! After going deep, that faith is sure, and I am outright scared of the reality.

Now that I know, these types of thoughts are specifically crafted by Satan for one purpose: your disbelief in Christ. Satan hates God because he refused to bow the knee in a special display of evil that was unacceptable to God. When he messed himself up, he came for other angels. After he came for them, what's left? It's us. Satan wants nothing more than to have your sensory experience take the wrath of God for eternity because he's angry and bitter.

In dealing with Satan, he's mean and horrendously evil. Still under demonic attacks, I see that Satan has accepted his fate of the lake and all he cares is to get you. All things that are not good come from sin and Satan. He had to be judged because of his character. I'll tell you a story.

There was a satanic woman who had an obsession with having sexual relations with the future Antichrist; she deliberately wanted that; she was a very bad person. A super big name I can't mention. Grammy getter. Because I was still a Christian, I convicted her of her sin in such a way that she began to panic because she realized that fire and brimstone was her lot. She left off quickly to get liquor. While she was trying to drink, we both very strongly felt a deep, dark voice cursing her, insulting her for her panicking. This was a woman in the cabal! She screamed to Satan, "Why are you being mean to me?" in absolute disbelief, with a feeling of betrayal and confusion. To recap, she became convinced of God, panicked, and Satan cursed her for it.

The reason why I'm posting this is that many who do not believe have never interacted with a demon or been exposed to Satan's devices. They think we are in a naturalistic universe with possibly aliens flying around (demons). And this is coming from a guy who had a UFO shown to him as a display.

Maybe I'm making a mistake by sharing this information. Maybe the elite still know me and watch me. But if I can encourage you. If I can warn you. If I can assure you that Christ accepts, loves, and died for you, it's completely worth it. There is so much to talk about. We can talk about the Mark of the Beast, Babylon, and whatever, but coming from someone who got into spiritual Satanic evil, Satan and demons are 100% real.

They are everywhere, working in people who do not know God. Invisible, ugly, and vicious. They only get sorry and sad when you beat them up over their fall, which causes massive regret and sadness in them. But because they're locked in, they get angry really quickly and want that Holy Spirit to either be blocked, quenched, or abrogated. In their eyes, Heaven is a no-go for everyone. And only by the grace of Jesus can we make it into Heaven, as his power by the Holy Spirit can only overcome such great evil.

I need to end this and open a discussion. Have you had evil interactions? Do you still doubt God? If you need encouragement, what about? And for those who have strong, orthodox faith, peace to you!

-Thanks, J

Update: I am sinning and need help

Hey everybody, I just wanted to make a small update and send a thanks to everyone who took there time to reply to my post and pray for me.

I’m not going to say I’m ‘better’ but I am growing and learning. I still have these thoughts but I’m working on becoming more comfortable in my god given body.

There were a few people who messaged me to say being trans was valid, and that I was not a sin for these feelings. But to those people I do want to say thank you. You are all caring and didn’t have to message me but did. So again, thank you. Your opinions are valid to me, I am not hateful towards the lgbtq+ community. But due to some of my family’s beliefs and my Christianity that’s just not who I am.

And to those who took your time to prey for me, thank you.

“But god commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us” Romans 5:8

Catholicism, Orthodoxy, and Protestantism all seem convincing to me. How do I discern the truth..

Hi guys, I am taking this here because, I'm not really sure what to do..

I've been learning about the different Christian traditions (Catholicism, Orthodoxy, and Protestantism).

I was ultimately convinced of Catholicism but I realized I was comparing the strongest Catholic arguments to the weakest of Orthodoxy and Protestantism.

After researching strong arguments from all sides, there is genuinely a strong case for each one regarding the Papacy.

Papal infallibility and supremacy weren't clearly articulated in the early Church in the way they were at Vatican I. There was a Roman Primacy for sure, but it doesn't look like Infallibility or Supremacy

Now, I do understand the case for the Papacy, that the Primacy developed into Vatican I, but that's something that we can't really prove, but it also makes sense. The case Protestants and Orthodoxy seems to have is the case that Vatican I's idea of the Papacy wasn't in the early Church therefore the Papacy is false.

I think all cases are strong, and after comparing even the Assumption of Mary for example, the first place the Assumption was ever spoken of was the Book of Mary's Repose. Which was a Gnostic text. Many early church fathers never taught or held to the Assumption up until, the late 4th or 5th centuries. Even Apostolic Succession, there was no third office we call "bishop" in the early church, it was two. It was Bishop/Overseer and Deacons. That was it.

So, it seems the case for Protestantism is strong as well. (I know I haven't listed much evidence for the two claims but the evidence I've seen is compelling. I'm not asking for a refutation or more arguments)

But if the Papacy is true, then it wouldn't be a problem to believe these. There just isn't enough evidence to know if it's true, and there's not enough evidence to show that it's not. It's just endless argumentation.

I'm really stuck in a loop here, all three cases are strong. I prefer Catholicism personally, even though personal preference shouldn't be a deciding factor. I love the idea of Confession, I truly believe the Eucharist is the Body and Blood of Christ.. I love the beauty of the Church, the Rosary. I really do love and prefer the Catholic Church. If I was a Protestant I'd be a Lutheran.

I am quite afraid of choosing incorrectly, I feel something in the back of my mind saying, Orthodoxy is true, but then another thing saying Protestantism is true, and another thing saying Catholicism.

I really don't know what to do. Thank you for reading

He is a COMPLETE narcissist that NEVER EVER reflects on his own actions. EVERYTHING he says is COMPLETE nonsense, he keeps blaming me for everything and acting like the victim, I tried so hard to communicate peacefully with him but he just keeps repeating the same nonsense "bad attitude, high volumes" etc, when he's the one spitting complete nonsense, he NEVER thinks from other people's perspective and thinks that he's right all the time, avoiding questions that makes him look wrong. He's always abusing his status of a "dad" to show how "superior" and "right" he is. He never cares about my situation or anything, all he wants is just my obedience. And he also CLAIMS TO BE A CHRISTIAN, YET HE'S THE MOST PRIDEFUL PERSON IVE EVER SEEN, and he has 0 empathy, none at all, not even exaggerating.

I'm 15 and I'm so tired of this crap.

Reflections on Spiritual Warfare

Lately I've been thinking about spiritual warfare and trying to let Scripture shape my understanding more than my fears.

When Paul describes spiritual warfare in Ephesians 6:10-18, the focus isn't on finding hidden demons or breaking curses. Instead, Christians are told to put on the armor of God: truth, righteousness, the gospel, faith, salvation, and the word of God.

James writes, "Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you" (James 4:7). Peter tells believers to be sober-minded, watchful, and firm in their faith (1 Peter 5:8-9).

I certainly believe evil is real. But when I read the New Testament letters, I see far more emphasis on prayer, faithfulness, endurance, repentance, and trust in Christ than on fear of demonic activity.

One thing I've come to wonder is whether some Christians spend so much time looking for what may be lurking in the shadows that they lose sight of the One walking with them in the light.

"Perfect love casts out fear." (1 John 4:18)
