Given the fact that this is a Disney owned show (since Disney owns ABC) this may be the first and only time the company has called him that and not called him grogu or the child

Comics The small background details are half the fun

Part of what I love is how lived in everything feels, the dented droids and weird aliens doing mundane things in the background. The main plot could be on cruise control and I would still be scanning the edges of the frame. What is a tiny background detail or throwaway moment you love way more than it probably deserves? The more trivial the better honestly.

General Discussion I just realized the meaning of the Chosen One Prophecy

"A Chosen One shall come, born of no father, and through him will ultimate balance in the Force be restored."

Now, the Jedi believe that Prophecy is that the Chosen One will eliminate the Sith and their corruption of the Force.

Now, due to Anakin's role as Darth Vader between the Revenge of the Sith and A New Hope, Vader has eliminated all the Jedi that he could find in the galaxy. Vader effectively made the Jedi an endangered people, and because of the Rule of Two, there are only two Sith in the galaxy, Darth Sidious and Darth Vader by the time of Return of the Jedi.

Because of Anakin killing Darth Sidious by throwing him into the Death Star's chasm, effectively killing him, Anakin had fulfilled the Prophecy.

By eliminating both sides, the Jedi and the Sith, Anakin brought balance, not by making sure the Sith win over the Jedi or the Jedi eliminate the Sith, Anakin set the balance straight by removing both.

General Discussion T’ra Saa might be one of the most fascinating members of the old Jedi Order. Really wish we knew more about her

The Neti in general are such a fascinating species, and what little we’ve seen of T’ra in official material has really made me want to learn more about her, particularly because she’s only ever been a side character. Would you like to see her make more prominent appearances in future stories?

Movies What if Anakins and Obi wan mission was successful?

Was watching episode III. In the beginning when they are going to rescue palpatine. What if they were successful and didn’t have to land the massive ship. Let’s say they get in and out of there without a problem.

Where was palpatine supposed to fit? 😂

General Discussion Ways I think season 1 of Ahsoka could've been better.

I know I'm pretty late on this, but I had thought these were some cool ideas back then and I'm bored enough to share them. I might've forgotten a few of them so I might update later.

  • I think Marrok should've been Ahsoka's apprentice rather than Sabine. I know redeemed villains are pretty overdone not just in Star Wars, but in general. However, I have a few reasons for this.
  1. From both the Ahsoka and Maul series, we don't know anything about Marrok. We don't know what he looks like, why he became an Inquisitor, or anything of his background and personality. He just exists as another faceless antagonist.
  2. While the idea of anyone being capable of using the force could plausibly work, I don't think it was done particularly well, therefore having Marrok replace Sabine as Ahsoka's apprentice could fix this.
  3. It could give more weight to Ahsoka's fear of falling to the dark just as her master had. By taking direct responsibility of aiding someone on the right path, she would doubt her abilities to even do this for herself.
  • I think more rebels should've gone with Ahsoka and Sabine as volunteers. This serves a few purposes
  1. It would give some weight to Admiral Thrawns tactics to hold off the three from reaching his ship. Rather than just blowing past all of them unharmed, it would show both them and the rebel volunteers having to really fight for ground, and take casualties doing so.
  2. I think it could be a cool moment to have Captain Rex be who gathers these rebels. The hype of hearing him over the comms declaring he's coming with them along with everyone he's gathered would cause hundreds of thousands of Clone Wars fans to need to change their underwear.
  • I think Sabine should've died near the end of the series by Shin. This also serves a few purposes.
  1. It would prevent lightsabers from feeling like a useless weapon that anyone who gets impaled by can survive.
  2. It would give her character a tragic end. She had already caused her Mandalorian people's deaths. Having her realize in horror that she was directly responsible again for repeating the same mistake twice, only this time possibly dooming the entire galaxy, would be a good way for her character to go and to raise the stakes.

Those are my ideas and reasons for each, so hopefully they were good ones. Feel free to add your own.

General Discussion When I first watched this scene I was shocked by the speed and efficiency with which the Jedi now take out their opponents. A whole hangar of battle droids and they wipe them easily in about twenty seconds.

Books Brazil is getting an exclusive hardcover edition of The Phantom Menace novelization!

Just wanted to share something pretty cool from my country!

Brazilian publisher Universo dos Livros is releasing an exclusive hardcover edition of The Phantom Menace novelization, inspired by the special edition of Revenge of the Sith that came out in several countries last year.

As far as I know, this edition is exclusive to Brazil, which is pretty exciting! There's also a chance we might get a matching edition of Attack of the Clones next year, completing the prequel trilogy.

I'm really hoping these editions eventually get international releases as well. It would be awesome for fans around the world to have the entire trilogy in this format.

What do you guys think?

Fan Creations [Fanart] Star wars Jedi character OC, Author me, (Digital) Me as a Jedi.

Hello everyone. I’m new here, and I wanted to share this illustration—one of several I’ve created—as a tribute to my love for the franchise. As fans, we all dream at some point of becoming a specific character, or perhaps joining either the Sith or the Jedi; that’s certainly the case for me. This is how I’d imagine myself as a Jedi from the Old Republic era in the Star Wars universe. I hope you like it. Best regards, and may the Force be with you!

General Discussion Is Darth Sidious actually a terrible Sith?

Post image
592 Upvotes

The common consensus is that Sidious is the greatest Sith ever, because he brought the Sith's secret plans to fruition after a thousand years, destroying the Jedi Order and conquering the galaxy.

But I think in the eyes of Darth Bane -- the man who created the Rule of Two -- he would also be considered a catastrophic failure, because his selfishness led to the destruction of the Sith.

Firstly, Palpatine's Empire only lasted for twenty years -- a meagre, insignificant period of time when compared to the generations of work that went into creating it.

Secondly, Palpatine failed to truly share power and knowledge with any of his apprentices as Bane desired, which led in part to Darth Vader returning to the Light Side and putting a dramatic end to the Rule of Two.

So -- if we take the long view of things -- is Sidious really a great Sith, or is he a terrible Sith? On the one hand, you can argue that he achieved the plan! On the other, that he ruined the plan.

TV How did Reva know her plan to capture Kenobi would work?

The given reason in the show seems to be that Kenobi and Bail Organa were associated, but we don't really see a relationship between them besides after the purge.

I don't understand why Bail's first choice is to get Kenobi to take a huge risk to rescue the child. He didn't even try to send anyone else after her first. It's justified by saying she's special, which she is, but no one else would no that or really have any chance of figuring that out right?

Fan Creations I found a fanfilm from 1977 in a batch of old 8mm films

I came across a cache of 8mm from animation students and was stunned to find this Star Wars fan film in a batch labeled fall 1977, making this one of the earliest Star Wars fan films. This was, I believe, made by an 8th grader in Mr. Moorhead's 8th grade class at Markham Jr. High in San Jose (in case anyone knows this person -- I'd love for them to get it.)
