Peter Parker and Jean Grey share certain commonalities; both possess extraordinary abilities and powers, yet they lead lives in which finding happiness is a daunting challenge. Following the death of his mentor, Tony Stark, Peter’s secret identity was exposed to the entire world. Branded as the murderer of Mysterio, he has been forced to live as an outcast, reviled by many as a "monster." Similarly, Jean Grey was abandoned by her own mother the moment her mutant powers manifested. In *Spider-Man: No Way Home*, Peter Parker is forgotten by those he holds most dear—Aunt May, his ex-girlfriend MJ, and his best friend Ned—leaving him completely alone. Jean Grey’s experience mirrors this; she loses her sister to the Department of Damage Control, never to see her again. Within the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU), by setting aside a potential meeting between Scott Summers and Logan (Wolverine), the narrative effectively bestows this theme of "solitude" upon Peter Parker. In this sense, Peter assumes the role that would traditionally belong to Wolverine—serving as the one who truly understands Jean Grey on an emotional level. I believe there is a subtle, underlying connection—a complex, nuanced sentiment—between the two.

In this iteration—exclusive to the MCU—a profound bond and connection have developed between Spider-Man and Jean Grey. While the two characters had virtually no interaction in the original comic books, the fact that Jean made her debut within the Spider-Man series in the MCU is both fresh and surprising. The MCU has opted to set aside the traditional relationship between Wolverine and Jean, choosing instead to pair Jean Elaine Grey with Peter Benjamin Parker (Spider-Man). According to Destin, Jean wasn’t included simply because she is an X-Man; rather, she was introduced to serve as a mirror to Peter Parker— highlighting the commonalities in their respective circumstances. Do you think their relationship will continue to deepen moving forward? Please keep the discussion focused strictly on the MCU, setting aside the Marvel comics source material.
I will put my trust in Marvel and Sony, and I believe that Kevin Feige, Destin, and Tom will make wise decisions.

Since *Avengers: Secret Wars* serves as the final chapter of the Multiverse Saga, I’m looking forward to seeing Peter Parker
(Tom Holland) reunite with Jean Grey and watching their relationship develop further.
But what excites me most is the prospect of Tobey Maguire’s
and Andrew Garfield’s Spider-Men crossing
paths with Tom Holland’s version once again—
I can’t wait to see the three Spider-Men together again! It’s possible that Tobey and Andrew might even end up on the same team as the MCU’s Peter. I’m also curious to see how Jean would react to encountering a different version of Peter Parker.
It would be quite amusing if Tobey and Andrew were to ask Tom,
"Is this your new girlfriend? You two make a great couple!"

And a common criticism for Jean that I feel will also be brought up here is that she shouldn't assume the known superhero Spider-man is trying to catch her to turn her in as a test subject for DoDC experiments because the crimes she committed in the movie that makes her arrest justified should be in her mind as the reasons.
"Peter is obviously talking about you specifically being dangerous, Jean."
I don't think Jean herself will deny this. The thing is, though, Spider-man still works for the extremely dangerous organization hunting down innocents for simply being different. Jean hearing these words from someone like him only makes him look like a brainwashed individual, who thinks that people are rightfully killed because they're different, which is what makes them dangerous. Add in the fact that Jean thinks Peter is like her, giving the DoDC a representative for this horrible belief.
Likely going into headcanon territory, but the way it's implied how the sisters mom abandoned them for their powers, I'm not gonna be surprised if they grew up in an environment where people who're considered 'different' are treated below human, even if said people didn't do anything at all. They grew up believing that 'different' were automatically dangerous, and they knew it as an unfairly cruel lie. This lie, like what she grew up hearing for most of her life, is what Spider-man told her, reminding her of how people can be monsters.
So yeah, that's a neat detail.

This is chapter 5, which I made with a lot of love for you all. I hope you read it. There's already interaction between Peter and Phoenix here; the next chapter will be with Peter and Jean, a light one, because I want to develop it slowly.

Jean learns to fear the power of magnetism as well....might be important for her later..... (Only 3 today, but that's all I got here.... Finding that Phoenix image took a while....)

Emma, Scott and Ororo must do the same thing with the others. I'll start the reactions down below, and honestly this should go on the discussion category as well because this is actually happening here :p

What if Jean Grey were to use her powers to look into Peter’s past as a hero? If she were to witness everything—from the events of *Spider-Man: Homecoming* through *Avengers: Infinity War*, *Avengers: Endgame*, *Far From Home*,
and *No Way Home*—she would likely be both deeply impressed and profoundly shocked. She would see someone who,
in many ways, mirrors her own experiences, yet has lived with a spirit defined by immense hardship and self-sacrifice.
Upon learning that Peter even participated in the conflict against Thanos—and that he died and subsequently returned to life—
she might well feel compelled to embrace him. In fact,
these very qualities in Peter could succeed in grounding Jean; moving forward, Peter Parker might even play a key role in helping to keep Jean Grey emotionally centered.
