Is this degree useless for airline management? I keep on applying and getting final rounds of interviews but I still keep on getting passed up by MBA majors, business majors, CS majors, etc.
I felt this for a very long time, as far back as my first day at purdue, but my fears are confirmed, and that is that this major is kinda useless if you want to work on the corporate side for an airline. I ignored it bc I was like "well if you havent tried it you wont know, maybe you'll do amazing and get a lot of offers"
Come to right now I realize I was right all along, and I am starting to regret attending Purdue. Low quality classes, no data analysis skills, most of the content pretains to airports and the operations side of airlines, not business analytics which is important for roles like revenue management and network planning.
I feel super hopeless. Combined with my family's financial situation and personal life stressors, I feel like I am failing and end up flipping burgers after I graduate...
But I guess, I leave the floor up to you. For people in airline management, has purdue helped you? Or is this program as bad as it feels to me right now?
