Hello everyone. After about six years of daily use—multiple times a day—I decided to take a break, partly due to building up a tolerance, but also to gain a better understanding of myself.
I hadn’t set a specific duration for this break, and now, three full months have passed. My mood has improved significantly, as has my sleep, though I’m still not as active as I’d like to be when it comes to managing my life and getting things done; I clearly still have some work to do.
When I smoked weed, I also smoked cigarettes, but the latter were never an issue for me.
Over these past few months, however, my cigarette consumption has increased fivefold—especially in the evenings, when I find myself constantly smoking. It feels like I’m using them solely to fill the void left by the cannabis.
My cigarette habit scares me. Back when I smoked weed, I always mixed it with tobacco, using at most 0.5 to 0.6 grams per day. Has anyone here had a similar experience?
I’m considering something that might sound a bit silly: using marijuana in moderation—perhaps just one joint in the evening—with the goal of eventually transitioning to only smoking on weekends, while cutting out cigarettes entirely.
What do you honestly think?
