Moderator Annoucement The “best evidence” for the paranormal is getting harder to find every time someone asks for it.

This question is being asked several times a week at this point.

Everyone has a different standard for what they consider “credible evidence,” and what persuades one person may not persuade another. What seems to do the best job is having a personal experience, but those anecdotal stories rarely persuade anyone who wasn’t already a believer.

Either way, the best way to find this evidence is by…you know…looking for it. Try using the search function on the subreddit.

And to all of you skeptics who were genuinely convinced by a piece of evidence you found online, please post it on this subreddit!

NSFW / Extreme Language Buddy of mine sends me this video this morning. Says "I'm so scared, I'm waiting until the sun comes up."

Craziest thing I’ve ever seen on video. He said that before he started recording that he heard three knocks and his bedroom closet light turned on. The noise at the end is a wrench he had on his dresser getting thrown towards him. Anyone have any explanation?

Question What type of paranormal entity would be okay with encountering?

• Upvotes

I would prefer seeing/being haunted by an animal looking entity rather than humanoid ones, because they trigger sort of an uncanny valley feeling. Seeing an odd looking wolfdog or bull would be a better sight than a creepy smiling person.😭

My friend answered this question by saying she preferred seeing things rather than hearing something invisible make noises, because if she was able to see an apparition or something, she could just charge at them like a bull.

Unexplained [Self] This photo was taken in 2023 and I still can’t explain what appeared in the car behind me.

This picture was taken at my local university, I had just arrived for my classes, and I asked a former girlfriend to take a picture of me on my bike because I thought I was looking cool, and wanted to capture the moment. I didn’t even notice until the day after when I was editing the picture. That night a storm poured down when I was going home and I was absolutely soaked by the time I arrived. I don’t know how to explain it. If you look closely, even though the picture has some artefacting because of the movement and low light, most people have their features clear enough to distinguish them as people, like, human beings right? But what is that thing in the backseat? It barely resembles a face.

I’m sharing a screenshot of the camera/image specs for further discussion.

Encounter I heard what I think is a mimic in my house a couple nights ago

Hi I'm new to this sub and I don't usually believe in paranormal things but they are intriguing. I don't believe in ghosts or anything just because I'm the type to have to see it to believe it.

So a couple nights ago I was making dinner, and I heard my son call me. "Mom!" I went to check on him and he said he didn't call me. I went to check on my daughter and she was asleep. The TV wasn't on and it sounded exactly like one of my kids. I started feeling uneasy at that point. I didn't hear anything after that, but I started getting scared that maybe I let something in because I like to leave the patio door open so the dogs can sit out there. I was getting really worried. My partner thought I was joking though.

Even though I am a skeptic, the idea of mimics are really creepy to me. Probably because I had a weird experience when I was 16 and I believe it was a mimic as well. I still can't explain it to this day.

Trigger Warning / Death i thibk my dad's spirit came to say goodbye to my toddler

i'm not sure if this is where this post belongs, and if it's not, please let me know so I can remove it and post it to the correct sub.

Three weeks ago, my father passed away after a long fight with cancer. I'm a bit of a skeptic when it comes to anything paranormal due to my religion and faith that I wouldn't say that it people leave the Earth immediately after death. I'm going to change my dad's name, but his nickname was something like papa dino for the sake of this post. Anyway, my son was not there and did not get to say goodbye to his papa dino which was sad, but also understandable because a two-year-old really shouldn't be hanging out in a hospital with someone that's sick. The day after my father passed, my son was laying down for a nap and out of nowhere he started just saying over and over again "papa dino papa dino papa dino". I hadn't even told my son about his grandfather passing and I was still processing it myself. I looked at the baby monitor and saw him looking straight up into the ceiling, saying the name over and over again. He then began singing a song that my father notoriously made fun of. My dad was a silly guy and liked making fun of the things that we enjoyed out of fun jest, never in a mean, or rude way.

My eyes filled with tears as I watched him, sing a song and say my father's nickname over and over again. I'm not sure if my father was actually there or if my son was just remembering Papa dino, who he had visited a week earlier, but either way it was a very kind moment. I like to believe that my father spirit came to say goodbye to the grandson he couldn't say goodbye to you. but you never know.

Question Why do people mess with the paranormal?

Assuming the paranormal is real, eg ghosts, demons, spirits, etc; why would anyone actually mess with it?

Why use quiji boards, why do seances?

Unexplained My only paranormal experience

Just found this sub and I love the paranormal.

When I was in 7th grade I lived in this new apartment complex in Florida. It was a nice place and I liked it. Nothing creepy about it.

What I’m about to say is a precursor to what my paranormal experience actually was, but I’ve never had sleep paralysis before or after and I had sleep paralysis in this apartment. I remember seeing a dark figure in my bathroom doorway, felt like I was levitating and I couldn’t move. Did some research on my experience and I brushed it off as I knew sleep paralysis was a thing that could happen to people.

About a week or two after that, I was gaming late at night with some friends online. Around 3-4am I started to look for my phone and I couldn’t find it. After about 5 minutes of looking, I start looking for my phone around my bed and my phone randomly falls from the ceiling onto my bed directly where I was looking for it. I couldn’t see the ceiling from my perspective as I was a foot away from my bed. No one in my house besides myself and my dad. My dad’s asleep and my door was locked. Just me in the room.

I remember backing into the corner of my room in shock while sitting in my office chair. I start hysterically telling my friends what just happened over Skype and I’m laughing like the joker as that’s always been my defense mechanism and I couldn’t fathom what had just happened. I remember staying up until the sun came up sitting in the corner and then my dad woke up and I slept on the couch and didn’t even tell him about it. He just thought I pulled an all night bender playing games as I did here and there at that age.

The craziest part about all of this is that I told my dad this story years later. He then told me that in that house, one night he woke up in the middle of the night in a cold sweat on the floor of our kitchen with a knife in his hand. No recollection of how he got there or why he was there. My dad’s not a crazy person. I know because my mom’s bipolar and a schizophrenic so I know crazy. My dad is sound of mind so when he told me this I begun to laugh like crazy as that’s the wildest thing I’d ever heard and it was insane to me that he had experiences in that house as well and we both just never told each other till years later.

I’ve never had anything else paranormal happen to me before or after that. We only stayed at that apartment for a year.

Debunk This Started to woken up at around 3 am for almost a week.

So, over the last couple of months, I’ve started watching horror videos on YouTube, mostly from channels like Beauties & Beasts, Asian Oddities, and Sleslor (Sleslor isn’t really scary, but I might as well mention it).

Asian ghost stories scare me the most because they’re based on places and folklore that are geographically close to where I live.

Before I started watching these horror videos, I considered myself brave—not fearless, but brave enough to live in a supposedly haunted warehouse for about six months to save money on rent. The warehouse had been abandoned for a while because of COVID.

Before I started watching these horror videos, I used to sleep with the lights off. Now, I need a night-light to be able to sleep.

Am I just mentally weak, or is there something wrong?

Extra information i need to clarified, i rarely watching the scary one nowaday, and if i did i only allow myself to watch it before 6 pm.

Experience I think maybe my dead partner saved our baby.

I still can't explain a lot of things that have happened since his death, and I won't go into that stuff. A lot of things with my phone and his mother's, things moving. This is one of those things that happened a few nights ago. My baby has been more mobile recently. I was fast asleep when I woke up to my bed VIOLENTLY shaking. I found the baby had rolled himself into a dangerous position, where he was unable to cry out or move. I got to him just in time, and he was okay. I fixed his sleeping area to be safer. There was no earthquake in NYC. Nothing happened in my building. My bed is in sound shape. Nothing fell. No thunderstorms. My cat (the only other being in my home) was fast asleep. TV was off. I guess I'm trying to think of any silly explanation?

Demonic Activity Is there an evil watchful spirit in my house?

It started roughly 2 months ago when we would come back home, and our dog would be terrified as if it had been beaten or scared to death by something, we assumed nothing of it because this dog was naturally a little bit more skittish than other dogs.

However, this continued over the past few months, and the dog grew more and more afraid. One night I was up late home alone with the dog. It seemed to have spotted something down the hallway and looked over immediately and started growling. I looked over. I saw nothing and was deeply confused before returning back to what I was doing. A few minutes later, I saw something in the corner of my eye, which I know happens to a lot of people, but the dog seem to have seen it as well. Seeing that the dog saw what I saw was a little bit unnerving, but I ignored it until it continued to happen over the past few weeks when I would see something and so would the dog.

I recently moved out of my mother‘s house because she started performing lots of witchcraft and satanic rituals that made me uncomfortable as a Christian not trying to bring religion into this. Just wanted to give some context.. I live at my father‘s house which whom she hates deeply.

I’ve noticed lights flickering and subtle sounds in the house while the dog reacts to them and I occasionally glance over and see things as well that looked shaped like a human or some kind of spirit. My whole life I’ve seen spirits around me and ones that have frightened me but they eventually left me alone.

What is this and how do I get rid of it?

Question Peeking..entity? In our windows

So, I had some guests stay for a few days in my living room and they kept telling me they saw something peeling at them in the kitchen, from behind the microwave. I brought this up to my roommate who has been regularly sleeping in the living room and roommate mentions they see it regularly but also from the living room window and kitchen window. Well, last night I asked her to try to capture it on video and honestly I think she did.

I'll attach both the unedited video and the brightened&zoomed in one, you can hear the cat freaking out in the background as well. It's peeking from the bottom left corner/side of the window

Let me know what y'all think

Experience How recently have you felt an ominous presence/space?

I work at a pet resort and spa. That’s what it’s called at least. It’s a boarding facility with daycare for pets, as well as grooming. There are 3 long halls where the pets are boarded, as well as an office, laundry room, cat area, grooming room, bathroom, a crematorium and an indoor space for daycare for when the weather isn’t favorable.

On Saturday nights, I work a shift alone. The halls make me very uncomfortable because I can feel the residual energies of dogs that are no longer living. I can feel their eyes on me, fixed, and waiting to be let out. It’s never creepy, just a bit spooky.

However today, as I was walking a shepherd to the indoor play area, I passed by the light switch and when I opened the door, everything was black aside from a dimly lit exit sign. The Shepard is always a bit nervous, but she halted in the door way.

I could feel the darkness. At the far end of the room, in the thickest blackness, I got a sense of an angry man, maybe angry men, it was awful. I felt like they were wearing all black but had stark white faces. The dog and I turned around after what felt like a 30 seconds yet 3 hours of suffocation.

Once I flipped the light on she was less hesitant, the room still felt awful, as if this presence didn’t shirk away with the dark, it just made its self adjust to the light.

TLDR:

I felt a darkness at work while I was taking a dog out for a potty break.

Just curious when the last time you’ve experienced something deeply unsettling.

Equipment Ghosts of Devils Creek

Just been watching the series. KD Stafford is the biggest fake I have ever seen on a paranormal show!

  1. When using his "spirit boxes" he always keeps his hand on it and you can see him pushing buttons.

  2. Every sound that comes through he immediately declares what it says to tie in with what they were told , even when it sounded completely different.

  3. He always claims to see or hear whatever someone says they saw or heard, when HE goes through.

Question Explanations of shadow people?

• Upvotes

I work at a haunt, and we all see shadow people constantly. Other actors are more spiritually inclined, but I do firmly believe it's just our brains tricking themselves. We have flashing lights and are always expecting a group to wander in

But earlier today I spotted one in my home. Which is weird because my home isn't dark, doesn't have strobes, and I'm not expecting people to walk in. Looking into it, shadow people are very common for those with psychological conditions or hard drug users

The worst I have is ADHD and a caffeine addiction. What else commonly causes sightings of "shadow people"?

I’ve always believed there are witches and ghosts, yet I’ve sadly never had any experience with them myself.

I would love to hear of any experiences that you have had, including where and when. Did you believe before or was it the experience that made you believe?

Any genuine stories I would love to read particularly at this ‘spooky’ time of year 🎃🧙‍♀️👻

Question Do you guys truly believe in ghosts and spirits?

Hey y'all, hope everyone's doing well. This is my first time posting in this subreddit.

Do you guys actually believe in ghosts and spirits? Like, truly believe in them? Mind you, I believe in ghosts and spirits too. The reason I'm asking is that I wonder if there's a slight chance the only reason we think ghosts and spirits are real is because of the situation we're put in.

For example, say someone told you, "Hey bro, this is the most haunted place in the world." Just being there and knowing that would already put you on high alert. So every small creak or noise you hear, even something that's just a coincidence or that you'd normally hear on any other day, gets amplified because you know you're in a "haunted" place.

Hopefully that makes sense. I'm just asking out of curiosity. How do you guys feel about that?

Experience People have been seeing me in places I've never been. My mom says it started when I was a child.

So apparently there’s another version of me out there with a way better social life than mine. She makes friends, she goes to restaurants, she’s a regular at places. I’ve never met her. Plenty of other people have, though, and I think it’s been going on since I was a little girl.

When I was growing up my mom always told me I was a “special” child. She had a few reasons for thinking that, but the one she brought up most was that I had doppelgängers (plural, according to her). People who looked exactly like me would show up in places where I couldn’t possibly have been. One of her stories has stuck with me for almost twenty years.

Some background first. We were really poor when I was a kid. We lived in a second-floor apartment in what most people would probably call the projects, and honestly I loved it there. We hadn’t always had stable housing, so having a place that was reliably ours felt amazing to me.

Behind the building was what I used to call our “back patio.” It was really just an overgrown, mostly abandoned parking lot, but I was out there on my roller skates pretty much every afternoon. We’d found the skates at a thrift store and they were my most prized possession at the time. When my feet outgrew them I cut open the front of the little sneakers so my toes could stick out, and I just kept skating. We didn’t have money for new ones and I wasn’t about to give them up.

I was around ten when this happened. This was back when kids could be outside for hours without anyone really keeping an eye on them, and my mom would sometimes take an afternoon nap while I went downstairs to skate.

One afternoon I’d been skating for hours, and when I came back upstairs my mom was just waking up.

“Back so soon?” she said. Picture this coming from an overworked, single, Latina mother. In Spanish.

I was so confused. “What do you mean? I’ve been gone for hours.” Also in Spanish.

She gave me a weird look. “No, you were just here. You woke me up.”

According to her, she was napping and heard the really distinctive creak oure bedroom door made when it opened. She opened her eyes and I was standing in the doorway. Not saying anything, just looking right at her. She said it felt like I stood there for tens of minutes, just staring. Then I walked over to the bed, climbed in, and curled up next to her.

When I was little I had a VERY particular way of cuddling with my mom. I’m not going to describe it because it’s kind of private, but it was distinctly mine and I did it all the time. She’d actually been trying to get me to stop because she thought I was getting too old for it. Well, whoever climbed into her bed that afternoon did the exact same thing. She remembers the mattress sinking under my weight, and me pressing up against her the way I always did, and she remembers pushing me away because she was trying to get me to grow out of it.

And then at some point after that, I (the real me) came home from skating.

I kept insisting I hadn’t been upstairs once. I was outside the whole afternoon. I never opened the bedroom door, never stood there watching her, and I definitely didn’t climb into bed with her.

I’ve thought about whether she was just dreaming, since she was napping. What’s always bothered me is how specific she was about it, especially the cuddling. She didn’t just see someone who looked like her daughter. She interacted with whoever it was. She physically pushed her away.

I wish I could say that was the only time. All throughout my childhood my mom would occasionally tell me she’d seen me somewhere in the apartment when I wasn’t home. She’d walk into the living room and I’d be sitting there playing with my toys, except I was supposed to be at my after-school book club. And I really was at book club.

These turned into one of those strange family stories that came up every now and then. I never knew what to make of them, since I was never the one seeing anything. It was always my mom. Eventually I grew up, and mostly stopped thinking about it. Then COVID happened, I moved to a new city for work afterward, and that’s when other people started seeing me too.

For my job I travel to conferences, sometimes in completely different states or countries. Over the past few years I’ve had multiple people come up to me at these events and greet me like we’re old friends. “OMG, it’s you! I had such a great time doing [whatever activity they’re talking about]!” I have never met these people in my life. And it’s not always the vague “you look familiar” thing either. They talk about stuff we supposedly did together, conversations we had, places we went, and they seem genuinely excited to see me again. I usually try to explain that they’re probably thinking of someone else, but some of them are absolutely certain.

One time I went to a restaurant and the waitress recognized me immediately. She was incredibly friendly and talked to me like we’d known each other for ages. Apparently I was a regular there. She even gave me her phone number because she wanted us to “catch up.” I had no idea who she was.

More recently I was at a bar and the bartender’s boss covered my tab because I was such a valued regular. I'd never been there before.

I know the obvious answer is that I have one of those faces, and there’s someone out there who looks a lot like me and happens to go to the same places. The thing is, these people know my actual name. They know oddly specific things about me, which makes it a lot harder to write off as mistaken identity. I also have a pretty distinctive look, a very particular way of dressing, and some unusual mannerisms. And I’m really not that social. I spend most of my time at home, so it’s ironic that this other version of me seems to know everyone.

At this point my doppelgänger has a way more exciting life than I do. She’s out there making friends, charming waitresses and getting free drinks while I’m at home doing absolutely nothing lol.

Jokes aside though, it really does disturb me. If it was one person, one restaurant, or even one city, I could easily accept that someone mixed me up with somebody else. But it keeps happening, in different places, with people who act like they know me personally.

I honestly don’t know what to believe. I’d actually love a mundane explanation for all this, I just haven’t found one that covers everything.

Has anyone experienced something like this, especially over such a long period of time? Could it just be a string of really bizarre coincidences, or is there something else I should be considering?

P.S. If you look through my post history you’ll see I’m a horror writer. I want to be really clear that this isn’t one of my fictional stories. Everything here is true to the best of my memory, including the things my mom has told me over the years. Experiences like these are a big part of why I got into horror and the paranormal in the first place. I’ve always been fascinated by things I can’t explain.

Experience Anyone else feel weak presence in cemeteries?

I'm an intuitive and sensitive to spirits.

Newer cemeteries feel more peaceful. Like I don't feel a lot of energy.

The older ones is the one I feel the most activities in.

Like is it because there's so many visitors still or is it because they're younger spirits?

Question Could this have been my deceased grandpa?

I have a question for you: Could it be possible that my deceased grandfather visited me? I want to tell you a bit of the story behind it first.

My grandfather passed away about two years ago, and before that, we hadn't had any contact for several years. He and my grandmother lived in another part of the country and they were always a bit difficult. My grandmother was quite toxic, and my grandfather could be very aggressive.

Long story short, there are a lot of mental health issues in my family that nobody really talks about, and problems tend to get swept under the rug instead of being dealt with. Eventually, this led to a huge family conflict, and my grandparents weren't really visited anymore.

At first, my parents basically put the responsibility on my sister and me, so we still visited them once or twice a year. But that didn't last very long either. We were teenagers.

My grandmother's health got worse, she became very unpleasant to be around, and my grandfather refused any kind of help.

About two years ago, we got the news that my grandfather was very unwell. My grandmother already had very advanced Alzheimer's by that point. My parents went to their house, visited them, and offered to help, but my grandfather refused again. A few days later, he died. He had basically decided that he didn't want to live anymore. He stopped eating and stopped getting out of bed.

My grandmother is now being taken care of by a mobile care service in a bigger city. She still has Alzheimer's, and we still don't really have contact with her. I don't feel particularly comfortable being around her either. She now lives in an apartment far away from their house.

Anyway, this brings me to why I'm wondering if my grandfather might have visited me.

I've been thinking about this whole situation for quite a long time. I feel sad about the way things ended. I think about my grandfather quite often. Even though there are a lot of bad memories connected to that house and to my childhood, there are also good ones.

For example, he was a really good cook. I liked listening to him. He was always very quiet when we sat at the table together. Yes, he could have angry outbursts, but I feel like he became calmer as he got older.

I just think it's sad that everything ended the way it did. I strongly believe that there is something good in every person, even if it gets buried under a lot of bad things. And I wish I would've known him better.

Whenever I talk about this with my family, they basically say, "Well, you could have contacted him yourself," and that there was obviously a reason why there was no contact in the first place. And I understand that to some extent. But at the same time, I feel sad about the way problems are handled in my family. Things could have been so different. Especially my parents were the adults in this situation, and I sometimes wish they had handled things differently and taught us kids how to deal with these kinds of problems instead of just letting everything fall apart.

Now my sisters and I are adults, and sometimes I think about how things could have gone differently. I know it doesn't change anything, but I still think about it.

The house where my grandparents lived is now completely falling apart. Nobody lives there anymore, nobody takes care of it, the garden is completely overgrown, and the whole place is slowly deteriorating. It looks like a lost place.

Recently, my dad had to go there because of some legal stuff, and I asked him if he could bring me something from the house. My dad is very superstitious, so he actually smoked out the entire house with incense and brought a crystal with him. He also said he would smoke out the cups I asked him to bring me.

I don't know why, but I couldn't stop thinking about these cups. They're these really cute, colorful cups with cats on them. They remind me so much of my childhood. Like I said, not all of my childhood memories from that house are good, they are mostly bad. But they're still my childhood memories, and there's something nostalgic about them.

I thought that before the house completely falls apart or someone steals them, I'd rather have them with me. I know I'll appreciate them. I've also been thinking about my grandparents a lot again over the last few months. Almost every day, actually. The whole situation has been on my mind quite a lot.

Now we get to the part that made me wonder if my grandfather somehow visited me. I started thinking that maybe, by bringing these cups into my home, I somehow "invited" him into my apartment.

Last night, I went to bed around 11 PM. I turned off the light, put on a sleep meditation, and fell asleep. Then I woke up at around 3 AM. I actually wake up in the middle of the night quite often, so that part wasn't unusual. But the light had somehow turned itself on. It was definitely turned off when I went to sleep.

I sat up and looked around, and I was honestly pretty confused. I thought that it was creepy. It definitely made me uncomfortable and a little scared because I had no idea why the light was on.

Of course, there are completely normal explanations for this. The light is controlled by a remote, and the bulbs are IKEA smart bulbs. I don't actually have a smart home or anything, but the bulbs can be controlled with a remote. Maybe something happened with the remote or the batteries but i couldn't have pressed the buttons by accident as the remote sticks to the wall.

The thing is, I had only brought the cups into my apartment the day before. And because I've been thinking about my grandparents so much lately, and especially about my grandfather, the timing felt really strange to me.

So I wanted to ask people who have had experiences like this, especially people who believe in this kind of thing:

Even though I didn't have the best relationship with my grandfather, do you think it's possible that this was him? Maybe he was just trying to say hello?

Haunted House Experience in old house

Childhood home I lived in from age 5 to age 13 I am sure was haunted.

Just detailing one of the experiences, I was too scared to tell anyone about it when it happened. It was unsettling & I knew the activity was targeted, I just ignored the prescence after this experience.

I'm not lying, it happened maybe 18 years ago, I never told anyone when it occured. It tried targeting my dad afterwards, calling out to him from playroom (said his name was called). Because I was ignoring it, it was trying to get attention from others

- My mum had a collection of porcelain dolls, she got rid of them when we moved house

- I always sensed something around some of them, being watched was main feeling

- Incident that happened was unexpected & concerning, & afterwards I got my mum to pack away her porcelain dolls, I never told her what I experienced at the time.

- One day i was walking past the dolls & I felt the eyes burning on one of them, I looked at it & I felt like someone punched me (solar plexus), I felt nauseous & lightheaded, could feel strong prescence coming from it, like static electricity or vibrations

- I was stupid, a bit fearful, but I looked away from it & asked question in my head directed at it (maybe telepathy or psychic), "is someone here, why are you trying to scare me"

- I heard an immediate response in my head, said "why are you scared of us, were your friends"

- I told it "I'm not your friend, if you're a friend why do you make me feel sick or afraid", why are you scaring the cats, etc

- It responded "it's ok, just let me in, please let me in"

- This went back & forth, I felt sick in stomach & if I looked at it, my eyes burned

- It said "I'll force my way in, you can't stop me", I said "then you're not a nice spirit, you're not welcome in this house"

- Atmosphere was heavy & depressing, it kept pleading with me, I just started praying that it would go away, eventually the feeling stopped. I didn't tell anyone, I asked my mum just put your dolls away, there's something not right about them, they scare me.

I only told her the full experience after we moved house, including the entity trying to communicate with me, she was upset that I was targeted by something that wasn't nice.

Experience I need some help!

Hi so I’m not too sure how to word this so I’ll just tell my story. For the past two years I’ve been experiencing seeing spirits. It started back in 2024 when I had come home from a long vacation and had seen a man staring at me through the archway of my living room. After that for about a month it was all noises. Foot steps when nobody was home, crashing sounds with nothing being broken, doors creaking when all of them were closed, that sort of stuff. I talked to my father about it as he is interested in that stuff and he gave me a blessed cross necklace and told me he felt that I was more susceptible to seeing ghosts and what not. Ever since that summer nothing much has happened, but I have had his feeling of unease whenever I was home alone. Almost like I was always being watched unless I was in my room. I do have severe anxiety though so I just atributed the paranoia to that.

No flash forward to last night. It was my birthday weekend and I had just gotten home from a tour of the Lizzie Borden house in Fall River. I’m not a believer in any sort of god or higher power and I am strictly athetist. That being said, the tour guard told us about different spirits living among the house and I honestly didn’t think much of it. I mean it’s a tourist attraction ag the end of the day, how are they gonna make money with out attracking people?

First off, in the drive there my mom frantically turned to me and told me she had seen her windshield wipers go off, just one time, and asked if I had seen it to. I was looking at my phone so I hadn’t seen it and we assumed it was just a malfunction in the car. Then on the way home it happened again, in the exact same spot. A feeling of unease came over the car and my mom even said it felt like they were saying hello and goodbye to us.

Now I’m home and asleep. I had practically knocked out when I hit my bed. Then I woke up at exactly 3:35am(I check the time on my phone). When I woke up I felt like someone was sleeping next to me, and like they were moving around in the bed behind me, like they were shuffling in their sleep almost. The night before my best friend had slept over and so in my disoriented state I figured it was her, but after I had woken up a bit I realized she obvisouly was not there. I start to freak out internally and wonder what the fuck is going on. Then, and I swear on everything I have ever loved, a girls voice said so loud and so clear “come cuddle with me” and laughed. I then her footsteps running out of my room and I heard nothing else. I obviously freaked the hell out and called my boyfriend. I ended up not falling asleep and staying on the phone the rest of the night and nothing happened.

Now I’m coming here to ask, what the hell do I do. I’ve saged by house per my dad’s request and am planning to put salt on the corners of the doors tomorrow, but I still feel so confused. I’m not so much wondering what I can do but how do I learn more about this? Is there a way I can coexist with this or am I just going to have these spirits following me the rest of my life. Any help is seriously appreciated, and in all honesty I am not interested in any religious talk so please don’t bring it here. Thank you everyone.
