One year clean today!

This last year just flew by! I never thought i would make it this far. I am feeling great and doing better than i ever thought possible. I was an addict for most of my adult life, started with norcos in my early 20s ended with fentanyl in my late 30s.

The first 2 months adter quitting were so brutal, i thought i would never feel normal again but with the help of my family and friends i was able to keep pushing and finally started to feel better. I quit CT, i wanted to give up by day 3 but my wife talked me off the edge. I really hope every single one of you can find the strength to get thru this and live your best life! This sub is so great and helped me tremendously while i was going thru it.

A bit of advice

Hey everyone, I am a 41 year old male that has been a very high functioning addict for about 10 years. I am very successful in my industry and what started as a godsend that got me off alcohol turned into a huge issue of its own. It started as 3-4 a day to what I am currently using now. I am actually prescribed 90 hydro 10s a month because of a bad knee i need replaced. I always picked up some to supplement and now it has turned into roughly 250 a month. Ling story short I am out currently and a cold turkey withdrawal is out of the question unfortunately. I just can't do it. I have tried. I also have no will power to taper myself down so that never works. I am thinking about coming clean with my dr and i want to be honest with her about my addiction and am hoping to get onto some type of suboxone or something to help me get clean. I just don't want to have this pill rule my life anymore.

Tuesday October 27 check in

Hey everyone, happy Tuesday! Hope your day is going well! Mine was definitely an interesting one.
As I was getting ready for work this morning, the water in my house suddenly started coming out brown. Turns out there was a water main break, and rust and sediment from the pipes were getting into the water. The whole area was affected, which sucked because I couldn’t even shower before work!
Then, on my way to work, part of the highway was shut down because a diesel tanker had overturned the night before and spilled fuel all over the road. Just bizarre!
Thankfully, I got home and the water is back to normal. When it rains, it pours, I guess! 😂
Anyway, that was my Tuesday! How was everyone else’s day?
