Hello.
As a bit of background, i had a 96ish average is grade 11, along with a 96 in HSE4M and an 86 in SPH4U. In the summer between grade 11 and 12 i moved to the united states but as a canadian citizen im still applying to ontario unis. My grade 12 average currently is a 93.8 and im assuming it will stay around there. It’s fallen as i found the grade inflation to be smaller here and my rigor went up and im taking a lot more courses to graduate than i would in ontario. With that being said, 1) if i took the 4U/4M course in grade 11 do they automatically count towards my top 6? My physics grade is my worst one in highschool so id prefer if it stayed off. 2) will the change in rigor be considered or do we think it will look like my grades dropped. I’m applying to healthsci programs btw. Thank you for your help!

There are endless "chance me" posts here, so I made a way to check it yourself. I put about 30,000 publicly posted admission results from the last three years in one place: https://acceptme.io/chances/
Type your average (or your courses, and it works out your top 6), pick programs, and for each one you get:
It won't give you a % chance. Rejections barely get posted, so any percentage would be made up. Instead it tells you something like "Most people who got in had 93.9 or higher. You're about 2 points below that."
Where the data's from: admission results people posted publicly online, Fall 2024 to 2026. People who get in post way more than people who don't, so treat it as the best case. 173 programs have enough offers posted (20+) to show where you sit. Smaller programs might not have enough yet.
Being upfront: it's on the site of a product I'm building called AcceptMe, but Chance Me is separate and completely free, with no account and no email. There are a few links to AcceptMe on the page, but you don't need them for anything here.
If a program's numbers look off, comment and I'll check it. Hope it helps a bit with the waiting. Good luck this year!

Use interleaving! Every 3 questions or so, switch to a different math topic when reviewing. This helps you learn how to identify which method to use on a test instead of getting used to repeating the same method. It can improve your speed and give you more time to catch small mistakes. If you wanna get put on my method or just want some help dm me

Hey guys, so I'm having a bit of a crisis right now. My whole life I've basically been told I'm gonna go into STEM so I never considered having any other option. Well come grade 12 and my parents are actually kinda chill??? Point is, I've been taking science and math for the past 2 years, I've already sent my OUAC list (biochem, chem, and ecology programs) and now at the worst possible time, I'm wondering if pure science is what I really want.
I'm not really sure how to explain this but 70% of the time, thinking of studying pure science in uni makes me sick to my stomach. I just don't think I'm cut out for it. It may be because my chemistry teacher this year SUCKS and last year I really wanted to study chemistry in uni, and also seeing how most STEM majors have no life outside of school. My parents are somewhat traditional, and like I said, I never considered a career outside of STEM and I have horrible self-esteem. It's why I never pursued art further even though I've been dreaming of writing comics and just making art in general since I was a kid. I guess it's also worth mentioning that I may be depressed. I don't have an official diagnosis, but I've been showing symptoms for almost 3 years now. All in all, I'm barely eating, I've lost tons of weight, high school science itself is stressing me to an almost breaking point , literally everything makes me cry (I can barely enjoy shows, even anime like JJK and literal BLUE LOCK make me sad) and to be honest, I'm worried if I choose a degree I don't like/choose pure science, I may end up hurting myself.
So, what do I do? Should I:
1. try applying to architecture programs (even though I'd have to cook up a portfolio in 3 months and what if I end up hating designing buildings?)
look for a STEM and visual arts dual degree (if that's even possible)
go with pure science and do a minor in art or art history
just go with pure science and switch my degree if I can't handle it after first year?

This is to the kids that are looking to apply this year, who are going to be surrounded by a bunch of teenagers that only talk about university admissions over the course of this academic year. Do not listen to your dumb friends when they make fun of non-STEM majors. Do not listen to the people trying to convince you that you cannot find work with an arts degree. Do not go into engineering or “premed” if you are not 100% sure that you will enjoy at least some of the content. Do not let people act like you’re stupid just because you are going to college and not a university. Do not let ANYONE convince you you are stupid for what you choose.
Please remember that teenagers are stupid (and I say this basically being one myself). I am one of the people who pursued a degree that I’m not sure I want because everyone around me was convinced that my program was supposed to be a dream program. And I got it easy because I at least want to pursue research in my field, it’s just that I would have had an easier time elsewhere. Don’t be stupid like me. And for the people saying that they can’t pursue a degree they like because of financial limitations, it makes less sense to go to uni because of financial limitations than college. I promise you making a living is not only tied to the conventional degrees everyone promises will give you a good future. I also understand that there are real barriers to choosing something “unconventional”, which is totally valid. But if you have the choice, there is genuinely no point in torturing yourself in a field you hate just because of extremely limited job prospects. I know so many people with masters degrees that never found work, and so many people who never ended up using their bachelors for anything.
Pick something you think you’ll love, do not let anyone convince you that you are lesser than because of your passions.

What are my chances to get accepted early admissions/b4 my final grades. I am asking this because my calc teacher is doing sum weird grade thing for midterms where they drop our lowest mark in each section. Long story short, my grade goes from a 90 —> 95. With that I am looking to get accepted early admissions since this grade thing is only for midterms and they are basically “ghosting” the mark, not getting rid of it perma.
Grades: - top 6
English 11 : 91
Adv Func: 93
Calc: 95
BBB: 94
BOH (online Private) : 97
Econ: 89
so roughly
93 average.
Ec’s are Rotman presentation comp winner and two jobs related to working with kids and investment club vice president and member of robotics and deca provs x2. + best in school for physics comp. + basic volunteering stuff total 60 hrs
What are the chances or things I should do to get in b4 the January? Lmk thx 🥸

Ok so im 17F, and i keep seeing people getting accepted into universities recently. I applied to 5 (Queens, York, Guelph, Western, and Carleton) all for the BA psychology program, and no acceptance or anything from any of them. Before anyone comes for my throat, yes ik these things can take time but unfortunately I am not someone who radiates patience, and I am at my last stretch of patience (shocking I’ve made it this long), so yeah lol. Any words of encouragement would be so helpful.

Hey Everyone,
I was looking for some guidance and was wondering if you guys could help me decide what programs I will REALISTICALLY get into. I have applied for
Queens Commerce
Western Ivey
Laurier BBA
Western BMOS
Queens Economics
I have around a 95% average going right now, I have completed data management and finished with a 99. My EC's are football captain on top 10 team in country, deca member, part time job working 15 hours a week, and initiative work with my friends to get sports equipment for needing teenagers. Please give honest opinion on what programs you think I will get into/ feedback. thanks:)

I currently have an 83 average right now, though it is really earlier and im expecting around 87-89 range with good extra curricular. Do you think this is enough or should i really go the extra mile for higher im stressing out a little about this. Also will my grade 11 marks matter?? I did quite poor as i was a joke last year but im not doing early admission so how important is it?

balancing math science and demanding language courses is so stressful. my mind is always consumed by academics and i am always on the verge of crying. i’m stressed constantly and can’t even breathe. language courses have such a heavy workload esp with these huge projects idk how i can finish them. someone also tell me they relate i can’t be alone. and also i don’t wanna hear anything abt how uni is harder, ik it is but im still allowed to be stressed abt my current senior year

Ok so I know im not supposed to be here but I just want to be prepared. I want to do something in like biochemical something or any degree that is applicable for med or pa school but also gets me a job later. I really like uoft but I heard a lot about it. I live walking distance away from utsc but I like the utsg campus more. I heard that uoft will tank my average. I just want a univerity hat is prestigious, a little fun but not too stupid, away from my parents a lot because I want to be independent. I have also looked into US universities but they aren't a priority. I am in Grade 11 IB.
