I’m sitting at my desk right now, stepping away from Chapter 3 of my thesis for a moment (so please bear with me if my replies take a little bit!). As a special needs person who grew up with severe bilateral hearing loss, fitting into society hasn't always been easy. But that whole journey made me a deeply attentive listener, and it inspired me to study to become a language teacher for kids with special needs so no child ever feels left out.
