Though not on the scale of what happened in Ohio, I just heard about this gimmick the GOP pulled on Nancy Mannion. I hope people vote withheld morals and ethics next week.

Just found a little tuxedo kitten in the Duke Street garage. He seemed just about 8 weeks? Would not let me get anywhere near him and meowed a lot, then climbed up into a car :( I didn't have a pen and paper to leave a note but the car has MD plates.

Does anyone have any recommendations for a trauma informed or even mental health informed gynecologist in the area? Even willing to travel for someone competent who understands PMDD & PMOS.
Thank you!

Hi! I live in the north east side of the city and I was curious if we get a lot of trick or treaters? I’ve never handed out candy but was planning to this year and just wanted to know what to expect!

So I’m currently working a full time job. I am however looking to supplement my income with a part time job. If anyone in the Lancaster area has any info on anyone who is hiring for part time work. Particularly if they’re hiring right away. I would greatly appreciate any leads.

I'm wondering if anyone has a recommendation for a realtor (buyer's agent) that they really like? Also curious if anyone has had success in negotiating lower fees than 3%, especially for higher priced homes.

From the article:
“We’re selling it. We’re selling the business and the building together,” said Rothweiler, a real estate agent with Howard Hanna. “Our wish is for it to carry on, but we 100% understand that it could be something different.”
The asking price is $775,000 for the real estate and restaurant at 600 W. Orange St., which includes the 2,700-square-foot steak shop and an attached laundromat.

Looking for wild mushrooms for a risotto. Is there a good place to buy them? I don’t have the confidence to forage them.

Went out to dinner with my family at Oregon Dairy. Had a blast at the corn maze, enjoyed the various games and activities they had set up, and decided to grab something to eat at the restaurant. We were enjoying our meal and spending quality time together when a couple got seated at the booth behind us. Late 50's, early 60's.
I then got to spend the next 30 minutes listening to the gentleman explain white replacement theory to his wife, praise Nazis, and even drop an R slur when a boy with Down Syndrome was looking at him.
I feel extremely guilty because I didn't say anything. But at the same time, I'm out with my family and didn't want to cause a scene in front of my kids.
Is this really just how things are nowadays?

Local college student here, taking a class on social movements; I am looking for local social movements/orgs to write about and interview for class.
It must pertain to class topics but I won't bore you with the details so I will tell you some of what I am interested in. I am looking to learn from:
- Plain people or ex-plain; potentially survivors of abuse
- Women's groups
- Immigrants/resources/support groups
- Civil rights (any advocacy really)
- Housing
- Music scene??
- Even movements/orgs that no longer exist!!! Lancaster history?! Anything unfavorable??
Anything helps! Not only would this help for class but I would love to learn more about my community, get organized/involved.
Message me privately if you would like. Also, if anyone would like to be interviewed, feel free to let me know.
Thanks! :)
