Just finished quite an ambitious project. It took way longer than expected and I’m not entirely satisfied with it. However I consider it a success in terms of learning technique and above all patience. I’m also tempted to make a similar illustration for each Chaos Legion, but that depends on how much time I can afford to spend on this “hobby”.

Hope you enjoy!

A battle for control of the Land of Dead is interrupted by it's true rulers.

Arra'kon is a highly distinguished commander. Unlike other T'au, he sports a dual-braided lock adorned with ornaments that represent all his achievements in battle. In Farsight's absence, he serves as the military leader of the Enclaves.

An interesting detail is that he is a giant of a T'au, with broad shoulders. Even Farsight, who is taller than most T'au, describes him as a giant with a proud bearing

I just thought it was a funny idea.

Shame the artist seemingly got SO into warhammer they stopped making artwork and started painting miniatures. Many such cases 🥲

The camo pattern was based on their first edition design back in rogue trader era.
