Resolved Unfollowing Someone

I accidentally followed another user, apparently (it's in my "my subreddits" list), and can't figure out how to unfollow them.

I use old-reddit exclusively, and when I do a search on how to unfollow someone, the "unfollow" button that I'm supposed to be seeing isn't there. I assume if I can "follow" someone in old-reddit, I can also unfollow them?

Desktop Desktop - Adding moderators to communities with blank Mod list

Original two year old account was actioned with no notification or intimation, submitted apple already but no acknowledgement or update so far on that so I’m resigned to its fate as being gone forever.

Current concern is that account had 3 subs created sometime back and having only that lone account as Moderator. The subs are still active with others posts but with no moderator listed.

This ALT account is a previous one of mine created a while back and lay unused, revived it to post for help & support

My questions are

a) Can I ask to be added as Mod for those subs via RedditRequest to be able to actively moderate and finish configuring them?

b) Since original account is actioned it cannot be used to manually add or invite Moderators?

c) What is the timeframe for unmoderated subs to be shut down so that I can decide to either wait for the apple process outcome or submit a redditrequest for them?

d) Hope none of these actions is likely to be considered as evasions as per ToS?

Access Fui hackeado.

Access iPhone app crashed, logged me out, now I lost my account?

So I’m not sure what to do her. My main account u/Cryptid_artie, is currently unable to be accessed. I swore I had it linked to my main email AND password but every password I try won’t get me into the account. I made this account when I didn’t understand Reddit so I made my main account abour 3 years ago and now I can’t access it. I’ve tried every email, every password, and I still can’t access it. I try to send a recovery email and nothing. I’m genuinely so lost on what to do. Am I hopeless?

Access Recovered my hacked account, now it gets locked every day or so. Can't get in contact with a real human at support.

Hi everyone, I'm having a unique account issue and I can't find anyone whose had a similar issue or get in contact with a human at support.

My reddit account is over a decade old and I stupidly never changed the password in that entire time. I got a notification ~2 weeks ago saying the email address and password had been changed, but since reddit flagged the activity as suspicious, they locked my account and sent me a recovery link. I was able to recover my account and logged out all active sessions.

Ever since then, every 1-2 days my account keeps getting locked for suspicious activity and I have to reset the password. I'll then use it for a day or so only to find it's locked again. This has happened 6 times since I recovered my account after the original hack. I have submitted multiple tickets with helpdesk, but because my problem doesn't have a path down their pre-determined tree, I can't seem to get a response.

I guess my main questions are, is this a known bug? How do I fix this? Or how can I actually talk to someone at reddit to figure this out? I'm assuming it's a glitch, but it would be nice to know what this *suspicious* activity is to see if it's actually legit.

Why are my comments /postings always needing moderator approval, but never get posted? I never see communication about whether my posting is approved or not.

Mobile/App What is wrong with my search bar

Why do I need to press “send” just to search, even within a subreddit. It’s so inefficient. Also I used to be able to access comments of a video by simply scrolling down, but now it SCROLLS TO THE NEXT VIDEO.

Anyways this will be my last post before deleting Reddit because I can’t do this anymore.

Goodbye
I hate you Reddit

Desktop How do I see the list of people that I've followed on the desktop web app?

Just like how users have a "Following" section in the side pop up, I don't see one on the web app reddit.com. So how do I see the list of people I'm following?

Profile What was your experience when submitting a Reddit Support form?

Hello! I've run into some issues with my main account I have never seen before and sent two requests under "can't access my account" and "password issues" in Reddit support forms, but that was about 4 weeks ago and I have not heard back.
What can I expect if they do get back, especially for login issues

Access 2FA Enabled without authorization

Got an email in the middle of the night that 2FA was enabled on my long term Reddit account. I was able to reset the password but still wasn’t able to gain access because of the 2FA. I already submitted the form on Reddit’s website to make them aware and see if they could help.

Has anyone else gone through this? How long does it normally take to get a resolution and/or a response?

Access Hijacked 23 Oct, locked out today. Reset works, new password doesn’t on all devices. u/ChipsAhoy21

Hi r/help,

I am the owner of u/ChipsAhoy21 (May 2015, verified email). I wanted to put the timeline in one place in case a moderator or admin can take a look. I already went through password reset. That part is not the question.

On Friday 23 Oct, from about 10:12 AM to 6:10 PM PT (17:11 UTC through 01:10 UTC on the 24th), someone used a stolen session on this account. They put up 319 spam posts and 11 comments from 45.134.92.34. That IP has never shown up in my Reddit login history. My password still worked, which is how I got back in.

Once I was in, I deleted all of that spam, hid the chat threads from that window, and left the NSFW communities they used. I also filed Help Center tickets for the compromise and to have the NSFW tag taken off the profile.

This afternoon (26 Oct) I was signed out of every device. Login says the password is wrong. I get the reset email, I set a new password, and that password is still rejected. I have tried the newest link, typing it by hand, and signing in with the username rather than the email.

The public profile is still there, so this does not look like a . I just cannot log in.

If someone on staff can lift whatever lock is on u/ChipsAhoy21 and restore login to the email already on the account, I would really appreciate it. Happy to send the IP, timestamps, and ticket details in modmail.

Thanks,
u/ChipsAhoy21

Access Hacked account

Hi everyone,

My Reddit account was compromised in September. After I regained control, I opened a ticket through Reddit Help with the details.

The only reply so far came from a no-reply address, asking me to answer with keywords like "NOT MY ACCOUNT" or "NO PASSWORD RESET EMAIL". None of them fit my situation, and several weeks later I still haven't heard from a person.

**Has anyone managed to get a hacked-account ticket looked at by a human? Is there a way to get a ticket escalated or reopened?**

Thanks for any tips.

Profile [Desktop website] My profile picture keeps going off-centre.

I haven’t used Reddit in nearly a decade, so bear with me.

I’ve been trying to set a profile picture since I don’t like the default ones, but it keeps going off-center for some reason. I’ve tried multiple fixes and the only thing they do is go in different directions.

Is there a way to fix this or at least use a template that makes the off-centre feeling less obvious? Because my Snoo wont stop leaning to the left.

Profile IOS IPHONE USER

I’ve had this Reddit account now for I believe nearly 3 months. But surely at least 2. Why does my profile still show only 1 month of age?

I lost my old account and so I made this one. It’s not really a big deal, but every time I make a comment or post, people start accusing me of being a bot because of my account age. It’s hella annoying. Anyways thanks for your help with this

Mobile Web Votes Question - iOS

Curious:

Why is it that in some threads — you see the normal obligatory one vote that you automatically get just for posting something (along with all the other votes that are there as well). And then all the votes (negative and/or positive) next to everybody that replied.

But then there are other threads where there is no obligatory first vote for the original poster…. And there’s no votes for any of the replies below either. It just says: VOTE with the up and down arrow on either side…?

It’s not because somebody was downvoted because in that case it would’ve had a 0 next to it.

It seems to happen randomly and I can’t figure out why. At first I thought that voting was turned off for that specific thread but eventually if I go back to it, everything comes back. Is that a glitch?

I hope that made sense. lol

Reddit Premium I randomly have Reddit Premium even though I did not purchase it? What this gifted by Reddit? They usually let us know via PM...

Hello everyone,

I was curious if Reddit was doing a promotion where they gave us a free year of Reddit Premium, just like when they gave us a free subscription to Optery a couple of years back? Does anyone know anything about this? I didn't get a PM from an admin as usual stating we got a free year of Reddit Premium and I did not see any posts about it under r/modevents.

Thank you.
