Did anyone bring a piece of ID/document from the approved list and get asked for an additional? I showed my utility bill to the first person and they asked if I had another thing, and I said I didn’t but that my utility bill was on the list of acceptable ID. She said ok, found me registered on the list and sent me to get my ballot. The next person asked for my ID again, I handed them my bill, and they asked for another piece. I said I didn’t, and that what I brought was on the list of acceptable ID according to the website. She said, “I know, but do you have something like a health card?” I reluctantly handed my health card over to her, which doesn’t have an address on it. I just wanted to get out of there and keep the flow going.
I regret not requesting a supervisor, but I’m wondering if something like this happened to anyone else? Did you not have another piece and were denied your vote, or have to fill out a form unnecessarily?
This was at Adelaide Hoodless, btw.
