Politics Has Horwath Bothered to be Gracious in her Defeat yet?
Has she even put out a statement?

I got a little out of control trying to trim my hair into kind of a shag and it does not look good, so I need a professional to fix it. I know there have been loads of threads recommending some great stylists, but has anyone also given themselves bad layers and had a good experience with a stylist who made their hair look not so crazy again? Ideally someone who will also not judge my poor impulse control!

For context, this was my first election (I turned 18 about a month ago).
I knew I wanted to vote, beacuse I’ve always been someone who’s thought politics was important. However, I didn’t really like any of the candidates so I didn’t know who I’d vote for, I just knew I didn’t want Horwath again.
I had a family member who was big on Cooper, so I did some surface level research and thought he was okay so I voted for him.
It wasn’t until after that I learnt he’s someone with completely different morals from me and now I feel so stupid for making such a dumb vote. He’s actually someone I’m completely against and it’s making me feel so stupid for not doing more research, especially beacuse I’ve been someone who thinks social issues are important. I genuinely don’t know what happened to me in that booth and I hate it.
I’m so glad he didn’t win, but the guilt I feel is really awful.

House Of Java also used to have a high quality tea selection, but I believe that is no longer this case.
I’m looking for a specific varietal of Taiwanese tea called “Ruby 18”. Any tea afficiandoes have a local source?

I know Horvath and Hwang were both against it and both got voted out...

EDIT:
Copied and pasted from the city’s site:
“You are encouraged to present one of the following documents showing your name and address. If you do not have any of these documents, you will be permitted to complete a declaration of identity at the polling location.
Ontario driver’s licence
Ontario Health Card (photo card)
Ontario Photo Card
Ontario motor vehicle permit (vehicle portion)
cancelled personalized cheque
mortgage statement, lease or rental agreement relating to property in Ontario
insurance policy or insurance statement
loan agreement or other financial agreement with a financial institution
document issued or certified by a court in Ontario
any other document from the government of Canada, Ontario or a municipality in Ontario or from an agency or such a government
any document from a Band Council in Ontario established under the Indian Act (Canada)
income tax assessment notice
child tax benefit statement
statement of employment insurance benefits paid T4E
statement of old age security T4A (OAS)
statement of Canada Pension Plan benefits T4A(P)
Canada Pension Plan statement of contributions
statement of direct deposit for Ontario Works
statement of direct deposit for Ontario Disability Support Program
Workplace Safety and Insurance Board statement of benefits T5007
property tax assessment
credit card statement, bank account statement, or RRSP, RRIF, RHOSP or T5 statement
CNIB Card or a card from another registered charitable organization that provide services to persons with disabilities
hospital card or record
document showing campus residence, issued by the office or officials responsible for student residence at a post-secondary institution
document showing residence at a long-term care home under the Fixing Long-Term Care Act, 2021, issued by the Administrator for the home
utility bill for hydro, water, gas, telephone or cable TV or a bill from a public utilities commission
cheque stub, T4 statement or pay receipt issued by an employer
transcript or report card from a post-secondary school”
Did anyone bring a piece of ID/document from the approved list and get asked for an additional? I showed my utility bill to the first person and they asked if I had another thing, and I said I didn’t but that my utility bill was on the list of acceptable ID. She said ok, found me registered on the list and sent me to get my ballot. The next person asked for my ID again, I handed them my bill, and they asked for another piece. I said I didn’t, and that what I brought was on the list of acceptable ID according to the website. She said, “I know, but do you have something like a health card?” I reluctantly handed my health card over to her, which doesn’t have an address on it. I just wanted to get out of there and keep the flow going.
I regret not requesting a supervisor, but I’m wondering if something like this happened to anyone else? Did you not have another piece and were denied your vote, or have to fill out a form unnecessarily?
This was at Adelaide Hoodless, btw.

Welcome to the weekly moving to/within Hamilton post. All questions about moving, utilities and neighbourhood recommendations belong in here.
If you are looking for recommendations/have questions about neighbourhoods, relators, landlords or utilities including internet etc, this is the place to ask!

If you are looking for recommendations on which area of the city would suit you, be sure to include some information about you and your family. What works for a single person starting out may not be recommended for a family with young children etc. Someone commuting by car will want to be closer to highways while those relying on transit will want to be on regular transit routes.
Alectra for water bills https://alectrautilities.com/hamilton-water
Alectra for hydro (electricity) in much of the city https://alectrautilities.com/
Hydro One for electricity in other areas of the city https://www.hydroone.com/
Enbridge provides gas to most of the city but you can sign up with many energy companies at various rates https://www.enbridgegas.com/
Ask your landlord or realtor for the providers for your new address

The discourse surrounding this election has been truly horrendous nearly everywhere online - but I want to give a shout out to the moderator team for r/Hamilton for not only doing a very good job enforcing their own rules - but by also just fostering a respectful space for discussion of civic matters. It was nice over the last several months that I could come here and not be repulsed the moment I look at the comments - this is a real achievement and I know it wasn't easy.

I feel sad when I see this number. We have to do better. So many people complain about stuff not working, but do not get out to vote on a Saturday or a Sunday. Provincial voter turnout is better than municipal. Why can’t we take more interest locally that also affects our day to day.

Highway is closed, and every alternate route is jammed.
It took me about 2 and a half hours to get to Hamilton from Dixie and Dundas in Mississauga.
How did everyone else do?

I have nearly acquired every component for my new pc. 11 generations since my last build. I don't mind mechanical diagnostic, but software stuff really gives me the heebeegeebeez. I don't mind paying the slight premium for putting things together and sorting out the bios and ram profiles.
I've read great things about memory express, but the waitlist for them is months long.
Has anyone used revive computers or apocalypse repair
