This was a rather fun and quick build for a long time client. The original ex-impulse backpack was boring so we decided to ditch it and use a spare destiny impulse pack instead. ofcourse that was also boring so i had to modify it to be able to use the daban destiny wings😆😆😆

I started hand painting to add on details to gunpla, without having to move back to air brushing which is exponentially more time and labour intensive.

With no prior experience, I have to do a lot of reading and research picking up this new hobby skill.

But it was well worth it. It extended to weathering and chipping applications for gunpla, and I even enjoy painting and toning girlpla and figure based parts.

Making skin look more realistic, is just as satisfying as making giant mecha, inner frames, pistons and pipings realistic.

What started as helping a friend to assemble a vintage mini figure, ended up being a good practice and experience despite only having mecha related paints

I look forward to fully handpaint a gunpla, and hand painting a figure’s or gk’s eyes and iris one day

I just started the hobby, finished the snaa lamorak, and thought it would be a good idea to panel line (gundam pour type marker) the lance once it was fully built. i severely misjudged the pooling, and it made the pieces very brittle, which led to some of the pieces breaking off :( would appreciate any advice or help on how to fix this. and trust i've learned my lesson not to panel line on a fully built model lol

P-Bandai RG Gundam Epyon -APEX LEGENDS(TM) Alter Ver.-. Second of the three APEX LEGENDS collaboration RGs, themed on Alter, the close-range ambush character.

The good:

• The best base kit of the three. RG Epyon is from 2023, the newest of the APEX RG lineup, and the quality shows — great build feel, articulation and joint strength.
• Parts are larger than usual for an RG, so assembly is genuinely easy.
• Purple + black + teal. The reviewer notes outright that it looks like a Miku version — and that’s a big part of why this is the most popular kit of the three.
• Full Epyon gimmicks intact: Heat Rod, beam sword, both together, and Mobile Armor transformation.
• Alter-exclusive seal sheet included.

The bad:

• 100% color variant. Zero new molding. Weapons and articulation identical to the standard RG Epyon.
• The Alter seals come with no application guide — same problem as the Valkyrie version. Use them however you like.
• ¥5,000 for a repaint.

Overall: the pick of the APEX collab lineup, thanks to Miku-ish colors on top of a genuinely good modern RG. If the color scheme appeals, or you just want a high-quality recent RG, easy recommend.

It's a fairly simple kitbash with added surface details, but I wanted to give the Gustav Karl an upgraded, more militaristic look. I added an extra pair of arms, went with a military green color scheme, and painted the cannon inspired by the colors of an AK-47. I also added a cockpit and even painted a pilot since I originally planned to use this in a diorama.

I'm hoping to make more customs along these lines, though those might take a while. For now, I'm just happy this one's finally finished!

Ricardo Fellini's signature Gundam! Build Fighters was my intro to Gundam anime (yes, I know, weird starting place) and I have a real soft spot for Ricardo and his beloved Gundam. The posability is not great, but other than that I love it. :)

First time actually using custom 3D printed parts in a build, replaced all the thrusters by 3D printed bells with inner parts I can easily paint, I quite like the result, although I had no more chrome paint left so had to make do with "aluminium" paint instead, next will likely be a MGEX Banshee using UA arts leds for the red eyes and yellow frame.

Super happy with how this kit turned out. Probably my best so far. This was my first time using water slides and I ended up ordering a bunch for kits in my back log after seeing the results. It's hard to see but I also used some metallic Gundam markers to color correct some details like the smaller verniers and the piping on the crotch arms. The base kit itself is underwhelming as a straight build, but a great template to build off of, and the final result is a very imposing chonk of a mobile suit!
